We had a great time and somehow were successful in cooking a really tasty Thai meal. Strongly recommend - we had a lot of fun. Aoy was the best teacher!

Such a great experience. It was fun, enjoyably and comfortable. Would 100% recommend. The atmosphere was relax and there was no pressure. You learn a lot but does npt feel like a class.

When me & the good lady we’re visiting Chiang Mai we were recommended by a friend to try out the ‘Zabb E Lee’ cooking school. I was a little sceptical at first but my god I am glad that we went - one of the best things I have ever done! I can’t remember the exact price with the currency difference etc but it was roughly £30-40 for again roughly 5 hours at the class. The beauty of it was that you were in a very small group, there was 6 in ours (including us) and it was all very relaxed throughout. Our host / teacher was called Oi (if that’s how you spell it) and she was amazing, a really knowledgeable and good spirited lady who was a lot of fun and kept us laughing throughout! We got to chose 5 courses from the menu at the start of the evening that we wanted to cook ourselves, we would then eat them later throughout the evening in 2 sittings. SO DO NOT EAT BEFORE YOU GO!! May I add there was plenty of great choices on the menu too, you will not be spoilt for choice. Before you even start cooking (after you have picked your menu), you get a real good authentic experience when you head down to a local Thai market to get your ingredients, have a look around and learn a little of the local culture with your host! Then from there it was back to the school to cook and eat! Our host was brilliant throughout and to be honest the food wouldn’t of turned out half as good if it wasn’t for her, the guidance and teaching throughout step by step was well worth the money! Me and the misses absolutely loved the whole experience, was great that you could buy (very cheap) a couple of beers whilst you was there and have them during the evening, just all in all what an experience, what an evening and if we ever go back to Thailand we will a million percent be back!!

My friend had recommended this cooking class, and I am so glad we made time for it. Oye was hilarious and the class was both entertaining and educational. Lots of good food you get to make and you get to eat it as you make it. We left full and happy!

Do not eat beforehand! You will prepare a 5 course meal! Aoy, was an exceptional instructor who was extremely organized, informative, patient and attentive to all of our needs! The first hour you will go to market with her where she’ll explain the ingredients you’ll use to prepare the foods you choose to eat (lots of options) and you’ll have a little time to shop in market for your personal needs. Them you’ll spend the next four hours preparing food, eating, then preparing more food, then eating and so on. You can grab drinks (beer) while cooking and the environment is nice and spacious, clean and very Thai like decor! The food was exceptionally grand! Do not miss this very unique experience!
