A must do!
Jun 2020
The Cooking School was a brilliant experience. The setting was lovely, teacher Oun speaks good English and did the teaching very relaxed and with humour. He teaches not only how to make it, but also all the differences in vegetables. After each round you can eat your own cooked food. And if you ar full, you can take al the leftovers home in a doggy bag. Afterwards you will get a small book with all the ingredients and recipes.

It was very fun to learn new recipes and techniques. Oun and his wife makes you really feel comfortable.

Absolutely amazing day! We visited the local food market first and was shown some local delicacies. Had a really good laugh with both of the hosts. So funny!!! Excellently explained cooking of different dishes, which all tasted amazing!! Top tip, definitely do not eat before this class!!! There was so much food! Highly recommended!!

Extremely well organised and it shows!

Oun took us to the markets to buy our fresh ingredients for the class and he even teaches you about the different essential Thai ingredients. We were given 15 minutes to walk around and see what was available but pro tip: do not eat anything at the markets otherwise you won't have any room for all the delicious food you make.

My partner was a chef for 10 years and really enjoyed this class. I, being a novice cook, enjoyed the class just as much. We both highly recommend it and would definitely do it again. Just need a second stomach next time. :)

Thanks, Oun!!

Great experience!
First we were unsure if we should pick this course, because they're so many schools with more reviews. But we were surprised by the generosity and humbleness of the cooking schools teacher and his wife. They are just so adorable, funny and made us feel like family. They even considered our wishes, in terms of seafood or not, vegetarian etc.
We learned a lot about Thai cooking and where we could possibly get the ingredients in our country. The food we made was often even better, than in some restaurants. Overall, it was really a highlight on our trip to Chiang Mai. I can highly recommend it to everyone, even if you have no skills in cooking.

They are very friendly and funny, the food is fresh and delicious. At the end they give you a little book of receipts that you did. You will eat so much, you won't even want to eat for 2 more days! Really something to do!

Fun and delicious
Feb 2020
We got picked up at our hotel and first went to the market to get the ingredients. We then cooked about four dishes each and got to eat them after every dish. Everything was delicious and the hosts were very fun and great people!

One of the best things to do in Chiang Mai
Feb 2020 • Friends
If you're like me, and your favorite part visiting new places are the food and the people, this is an absolute must-do in Chiang Mai.

You get to explore a local Thai market where you'll learn about popular Thai ingredients, meet some great people in Tom Yum and his wife, and cook some of the best authentic Thai dishes you'll eat on your trip.

Then at the end you get a cookbook so you can have the same meals whenever you want for the rest of your life. Couldn't recommend the experience highly enough.

I had such an amazing time. I learned how to cook dishes that I’ll definitely try again, and the atmosphere of the class made it easy to bond with my fellow classmates.

The instruction is top notch. Be prepared to come hungry.
