Uncle Bob is the owner of Manhattan Tailor Chiangmai , Bob have 30 years experience in the tailoring business , Bob have been traveling in many countries in Europe and America making clothes for people , even now Bob travels to Scandinavian countries every year . We keep your size in our computer base that means you can always order by email in the future . We make men & women suits , shirts , blouse , evening dress , winter coats ,tuxedo (smoking suit) and more. We provide special package price for customers as-well , we have all kind of prices for customers to choose , we also provide free pick up from your hotel with no obligation to buy.

I had a great experience with Bob at Manhattan Tailors.
A very skillful tailer who knows what is right an what is not.
Very good English speaker and lots of experience in the tailor business.
I wear suits for work and must say I'm pretty picky about how it should look and fit.
Bob was open to my wishes and we made some great suits and shirts. The shirts we did in two styles, business style with double cufflinks and casual style. Let him help you to decide what kind of shirt will look good with the suit, it will turn out great!
Not only suits and shirts are a possibility, just share your wishes with him and he can do the job. Coats, (sleeping) bag, whatever!
I love my new suits and the shirts, it will be a pleasure to wear them to work.

When in Chiangmai I always return to Manhattan Tailor to have any new clothes made as they always provide first class service and excellent end product.
This visit was no exception. Bob the owner is still very pleasant and helps you along the way to get the best end result. This time I went for an evening dinner jacket suit. The end result was perfect and I have just worn the suit for first time and received very good compliments from friends.
Shall be going back to Manhattan Tailor for years to come😀

I went to Bob’s shop because it was highly rated, and I’m glad I did. I had him make me one suit, a jacket and five shirts, and all came out perfect. I’m a very tall / slim build guy and I’ve always had trouble finding clothes that fit my particular body shape. Bob quickly recognized exactly what I needed at the initial measurement and the clothes came out perfect at the first fitting. He is a complete professional and I highly recommend you give him a chance if you’re in the market for some custom fitted clothes at really good prices. I will definitely be ordering from him in the future now that he has my measurements on file.

I had two pants and one jacket made. I could already tell at the first fitting that he didn`t like that I asked for alterations. At the final fitting we had a little dispute about some missing pockets that he claimed were not on the picture of the pants I picked out, although the way I remember it we clearly talked about front pockets for both pants I ordered and there were even definetly pockets on the picture. My boyfriend then noticed some irregularities in the seam of the belt lax, which caused the fabric to crinkle. The tailor`s response was that I dind't have to take the pants if I dind't like them and that he would refund me, taking it very personally.The other pants turned out all right and the jacket was ok as well, although there were still visiblel chalk marks on it. What was more disturbing was that he started to take pictures of me with his cell phone when I tried on the jacket without even asking if that was ok with me. After that he was very eager for us to leave.I will definetly not return.

We came here after reading the great reviews on trip advisor. We have had custom clothing made many times in Thailand but never in Chiang Mai so we did the research and came here. Bob speaks excellent English and was very accommodating and helpful as we chose the fabrics for 2 suit jackets, 2 pants and 2 shirts for my husband, a dress for myself and my 11 yr old daughter and a jacket for our 7 yr old son. We had ample time for the process and allotted for 3 fittings over 3 days. Our daughters dress and sons jacket turned out great. My dress needed some changes and I felt that Bob was "put out" when I suggested it wasn't quite right. I had brought In a picture from a magazine to copy but after trying the first fitting, determined that some changes were needed to suit my body type. He seemed frustrated with me but did make the changes and I was happy with the end result. For my husband, the 2 pants were perfect but he had issues with the jackets and the shirts. Clearly there were 2 different tailors cutting the fabric as one suit jacket was perfect and the other was clearly cut a size larger. Again, when my husband pointed this out, Bob was frustrated and somewhat argumentative but continued to state that he would make it right. At the end of the day, the clothes did turn out nicely but I wouldn't say it was an entirely enjoyable experience. Cost was not inexpensive - we paid $1250 CDN for the 9 items. The men's clothing was reasonable but I think $160 each for a child's dress and a suit jacket for a 7 yr old was costly. Bobs wife is absolutely lovely and she handled our second fitting as Bob was away ill. She was much more enjoyable to deal with and really took the time to listen and make the required changes to ensure the end result was perfect. The quality of the workmanship is very good and I believe that we did receive a good end product but we didn't enjoy the experience of dealing with him and would not likely return.

Last month I decided to get a new suit during our stay in Chiang Mai. I had the good fortune to walk into Manhattan Tailor where I not only got a suit I love that is expertly fitted to me, but experienced fantastic service.
The owner is skilled and personable and makes the experience fun. He takes pride in his work and the product reflects it. My suit was the best deal I got in Thailand.

I visited Manhattan tailor to have a suit and shirts made, Bob was able to get me well outfitted in great time and great price. Fantastic tailoring, great service, great quality and experience. I have tried many tailors and Bob is the best experience I have had.

Very happy with the work Bob did for my wife and I. Suits were very nice, exactly as we asked. Even made house call to our hotel. Third time I've had suits made in Thailand and probably the best so far. Very happy and will order more from him.

A suit in the window caught our eye and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Bob pays exceptional attention to detail. He went the extra mile with the interior lining of the suits we had made. The craftsmanship and detail he puts into his work is absolutely beautiful. It is great that he keeps measurements for the future and can ship back home for us. We will absolutely be ordering more suits, especially for our upcoming wedding!

Hi, my wife had three dresses made at the tailors and was very pleased with each one. They were all made from different materials and styles. If you know the style of dress you want take a photo with you. We actually accessed the tailors wifi and found the dresses that my wife wanted made, so they used the link and sent photos to the dress maker. The dresses took an average of two fittings before the finished dresses were ready. Bob the owner is a friendly person and will help you throughout the process. We are planning to go back to the tailors on our next visit to Chiang Mai.
