The one day retreat was led by Phra KK (Phra means Monk) and exceeded our expectations. He starts with a ~30-45 minute Western-friendly PowerPoint presentation (with just enough humor and wit to keep the sleepy tourist engaged) about meditation practice and it's relation to Buddhism, then taught us the basic mechanics of meditation. We had time allocated for sitting, walking,... More

What a lovely day I spent at the meditation retreat, listening and learning from Phra KK, who leads the retreat. KK is interesting, open, funny and warm. He is open to all questions and will answer to them frankly. Has a great sense of humor and makes everyone feel welcome at the temple. I was touched by his words, stories... More

It is rare to learn these techniques directly from a monk, which is why I describe it as once in a lifetime. Prah KK, our mentor for the day was knowledgable, patient, kind, and humorous. Even the practical information at the beginning was interesting. I think it is important to know the history behind Buddhism before trying to adopt it's... More

This one day retreat was one of the best things I've done while travelling for the past couple of months. Phra KK was a very knowledgable and friendly teacher which made the day very, very enjoyable. We learned so much about Buddhism and we were able to ask the monk KK anything during the Q&A and that was so eye... More

Wow this was great! I attended a 1-day meditation day lead by monk KK. I couldn't make a reservation for my spot (it's only on fridays), but when I went there this was no problem at all. We ended up with a group of around 30 persons and it was from 9.30 until 18.00. We got a day filled with:... More

Great meditation class for beginners provided in Wat Suan Dok. I have studied meditation for two years and this time I joined the one day meditation class, it allowed me to solve many questions about meditation and Buddhism. Phra KK(the teacher) is funny and speak really good English. Definitely worth to spend a few hour (Every Friday from 9am to... More

We stumbled across this my accident and it was honestly one of the most enlightening days of my life. Monk KK was absolutely wonderful and he taught us all about Buddhism and meditation. He made us feel so at home! I cannot recommend enough!

The location and monks hosting the event were wonderful. It's important to know that the 2 night retreat gets you back to the university at 4 pm, not 3 pm. The retreat location is about an hour away and they take you via the red sontuks. The retreat is silent and most of it is spent in group or silent... More

I read positive reviews online and decided to sign up. I'm glad that I did. We learned and practiced 5 meditation positions while learning some of the philosophy surrounding Buddhism and meditation. A worthwhile way to spend a day. I plan to return to improve my skills next visit to Chiang Mai. Phra KK, the leader of the retreat was... More
