Visited Dragon Flight with a friend while in Chiang Mai. The Dragon Flight package included a lot includes: A self service Thai buffer meal, tea or coffee, transportation, water (only a small bottle 150ml), first aid insurance (not sure what this covers), equipment and a dragon flight souvenir T-shirt. The dragon flight tree top zip lines are 1300 meters above sea level and includes a number of zip lines (upto 800 meters long), platforms, abseil, sky board, cable walk, 360 degree panoramic sky bridge, timber ladder, elevator chair, timber sky ladder, spiral staircase, tree house, sidewinder and nature walk. However as time is limited and regular maintenance might be under taken on some of the zip line network it will be unlikely that you will be able to experience all of these. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and I would advise: Sun Screen, Camera (secure this to yourself), Bug Spray, Water, Hat or Umbrella
Also after checking the reviews on here and the prices I found this much better value then it's competitors (flight of the gibbons, etc). Also it is worth checking in advance BEFORE you book to see if an existing health condition you have will stop you participating as an older gentlemen in our group was not allowed to participate due to ill health (pre-existing heart problems in his case). The guides were professional and spoke English (as well as other languages) well enough to be understood and communicate the rules and instructions. They also were very entertaining and helpful telling us jokes and interesting facts. Overall the session took about 5 - 6 hours from the time you are collected until the time to return and was good fun and a great experience.

Been there today and loved the place and the staff. We took the 6:30am departure and so we were only 5 having the whole park to ourselves. Two guides (Ice & Donut which I loved, they were really great) were with us the whole time, really safe, instructions were given, double checked the equipment, etc. I have vertigo and fear of heights, and even though I was terrified, I knew the whole time I was "safe"! Since I was scared, Ice & Donut sometimes gave me a hard time, but I was always laughing (or at least I never asked them to stop really) so at no point was it too much.. I'm pretty sure they would have stopped if I would have been quite serious about it. Just the very last drop, they kinda didn't do it pet noy, but that's OK hahah they wanted me to scream and I sure did.
Since we were the first ones, it was quite quick (and if I hadn't been in the group, it would have been even quicker) so a bit under 2hours in the trees when you don't have to wait because of other groups, which is maybe a bit short for the price. But besides that, I had a blast and loved it!

Me and my wife joined the Dragon Flight tour today. It was our first time trying a zip line.
The Dragon Flight is about 1 hour + away from Chiang Mai. We really enjoyed it! (the day we went was pouring rain) . The centre provides a free poncho in case it rains and also you are able to buy a pair of fake crocs (150 BAHT). They also have lockers for you to store your bags and stuff.
Some of the learnings :
- you will not able to to zip along and film using your iPhone or smart phone. Only thing you might be able to use is a go pro (that you can safely hold onto). Most of the zip lines, you are very high up and easy to drop things (if not properly secured). The centre itself nowadays caters to mainland Chinese tourist as well, as most of the guides and staff can speak conversational mandarin.
What to bring :
- mosquito spray
- CROCS
- disinfectant wipes
- GO PRO
- Waist pouch (to store camera)
Pro
- amazing experience and quite fun
- very safe. The instructors (2 to a group) work in tandem to make sure safety is #1. Because you are up a platform 25-50 meters up. Its important
- You spent most of your time on zip lines and enjoying
- Free t-shirt to change into (on your ride home)
- Buffet was provided at the end : green chicken curry, rice, patai, and watermelon. Decent meal.
Con
- Helmets are very smelly. Recommend that you bring a disinfectant spray to address the smell
- One of the guides we had were not too friendly and indeed asked for a tip as well.

As much as it pains me to write a negative review, I feel compelled to. (This is my first negative review ever) I can be very positive about the logistics of the day, the staff created a good atmosphere, it was well organised and the scenery was fantastic.
My concern is safety. They have invested in the French made 'PETZL' harness system which is found on reputable European zip line centres such as 'Go Ape' in the U.K. The problem is that the staff do not use the equipment as it is meant to be used to ensure safety. It is not their fault it is poor training from the management.
On the zip lines the PETZL system can ensure that if one aspect of the harness breaks then the customer will not fall, however at Dragon Flight if one pulley was to malfunction then the customer could fall with no failsafe. When I raised this with the staff they said 'I could use the clips whichever way I wanted'.
A lot of people were allowed to stand on platforms at one time to the extent that a tree would wobble with us standing on it. Normally it would be two people to an activity or platform.
On top of this some of the later platforms were secured with normal rope and not the higher grade and stronger wire rope.
When I raised my concerns with a manager at Dragon Flight after we complete the course he insisted that it was 'safe enough' and then walked off as I was giving a reasoned argument based on my previous experiences zip lining.
In addition to this the two longest zip lines, the 800metres and the 500metres (I think) were closed. I was not informed of this prior to purchase.
In summary if Dragon Flight could improve their safety procedures they would have a good product as it seemed to be the biggest centre at the lowest price (I paid 1600 baht)
I hate to be negative but I feel I have to as in its current state Dragon Flight is an accident waiting to happen!

NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY
At the start One Guy ordering People around at an unfriendly, near to shouting voice. He could not explain what he needed my authograph for. Seemed for disclosure. Rough suiting of equipment to People and My daughter. I even had to say something about it.
Pushing my children aside at ziplining platform. One kid (from orher Group) quit after Second zipline stage because of pushing.
SAFETY
Safety line fastened at OWN equipment instead of to the zipline. In case of broken first line no back-up safety. I Told them this. See picture. From privacy point a view I did not place his face. From that point they starten acting smart to us on safety behaviour. Some carabiners over 50% worn out.
Bamboe railing rotten when passing from A to B over ground, when slippery (as it was). See second picture.
NO SMOKING
Not allowed during the hike. To my surprise, personal starts smoking half way the hike.
I DO NOT ADVISE Dragon Flight. Very bad feeling, espacially in the way they treat their ‘customers’...

NOT SAFE!
DONT GO THERE!
We chose this zipline because we heard it has good safety. But they only use one cable for the zipline, which every professional zipline company told us you should never do! If the cable should break, you just fall down! No Backup safety! And in the jungle its not so unusual that the cables can rust...
Strange is that they haven two cables available at almoust every Station but they refuse to use both as safety precaution because of "company policy"... Unbelievable!
After a few stations we quit our tour because we just felt too unsafe, they didnt take us seriously at all!
Even more, the staff showed completely irresesponsible behaviour, for example letting two people ride the zipline at the same time! Or urging people to jump off the platform even though there were signs everywhere saying "dont jump off the platform"
Also we didnt get gloves for using the zipline and many of the platforms were built to high, so we hit our feet or lower buddy on the platform. Also there werent any cushions at the trees of the platform to prevent a hard crush against the tree when landing.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Its sad because other than that, the staff was really nice, pickup from the hotel and back worked put well, we got a good lunch and free t-shirts.
But without basic safety all this becomes irrelevant...

This was a fairly fun day out. Not the most exciting thing I've done but it's pretty much as advertised and as the other reviews attest most people find it good fun. My problem was with the rubbish left throughout the zipline course. At the break area there were Dragon Flight labelled PET bottles and other rubbish everywhere. My friend and I started picking some of it up but were told not to bother by the guides, as it was taken away each day for recycling. This was clearly not the case as many of the bottles were old and decaying. It was pretty disappointing to see the lack of care with which this company used the national park.

Sure, it was great fun, but my issue is with the guides. One (called Yo-Yo I believe), repeatedly told my husband that if he accidentally kicked him when landing at a platform, it would cost him 100 Baht. The same guy acted inappropriately towards a pretty young Chinese girl on numerous occasions. The other guide (who spoke little English) referred to my 14 year old son as "Lady Boy". At the end of the zip-lining, Yo-Yo made it very clear that he wanted a tip. My husband didn't tip, and when he was given the "free" T-shirt, Yo-Yo said it would cost him 100 Baht. Overall, the guides made for a very unpleasant afternoon.

Absolutely disgusted with how dragon flight treated us.
We booked our trip online, but we never received a confirmation email. We rang from our hostel at the earliest opportunity, and spoke to the manager. He said that they hadn't received the payment yet so the booking wasn't complete. We explained that the money had left our account and we re-booked over the telephone. The manager said he was happy to check the account again in the morning.
Our bus picked us up as planned, but when we arrived at Dragon Flight 2 hours later, we were asked to pay again, which we refused. We again spoke to the manager who said they still hadn't received the money (even though we emailed proof of payment over). He told us that if we wanted to do the zip-lining we would have to pay again.
As we again refused to pay twice, we were told by the manager that he would arrange for a bus to pick us up, but we had to wait about 2.5 hours for this.
In the meantime, one of the workers told us to eat, and sent us along with the rest of our group. As we got up to leave we were told it would be 20 baht each as we did not have a booking.
Overall, the whole trip was completely unorganised, and they are ripping customers off. I don't think we are the first people this has happened too, as the manager said it happens a lot.
One of the worst experiences I've had with a company, and I would definitely not recommend booking with dragon flight.

Guides of Dragon Flight are very unprofessional. They don’t wear helmets, do smoking, are joking, are moving the cablelines for extra ‘fun’ while someone is hanging on and they don’t use double lock security!
We don’t recommend this company.
Take care of your own safety and choose another company.

How do u guys make reservation? I've been tying to email them, filling in the online form, and calling them for a month but no one answered! I wonder if they even exist? The online reservation only shows bookings up to December 2016. How about January 2017 and onwards???

Yes we booked through a tour guide which was opposite a temple in the centre of the city, there are other zip line companies bit this was the only one we found which our 6 year old could do.

I would agree with etur010. The lunch is very limited in selection or variety and vegetarian is even more limited. You could certainly contact the shop directly but you would certainly receive rice and a vegetable but not much more.
