The place is very high tech or commercial style building that one wouldn't guess it was a spa. It was 500 bahts for a Thai Lanna massage for 60 minutes. They brought slippers and a cup of tea before leading us upstairs to individual rooms closed by a curtain. The mattress was on the floor along with a top and pants and were clean. We were warned that some places reuse their clothes. It was spacious and while there were no lockers, personal belongings were in same room. The rooms were quite dark which I suppose was for relaxation The massage was firm with pressure points but not too hard.

If you are just looking for a basic massage this is a good place requiring no appointment. It is a bit sterile as there are no lush foliage and if you are wanting a "spa experience" , this might not be the place.

I took off a couple of stars as they showed us one of their more expensive packages at 1200 baht a person for an aromatherapy treatment and the suggested a longer treatment or elaborate treatment . We only wanted to spend an hour so it worked for us and Fah Lanna Spa was all booked today.

The spa looks nice on first instance but the bathroom is run down and dirty. I signed up for a facial but was not briefed on what was going to happen or what products would be used. My friend booked a Thai massage and we were in the same room and our therapists were chatting all along. All in all not a great spa experience.

Went last week for a 90 min aromatherapy massage, not worth it for the price paid. As a comparator of places in Chiang Mai I have been to Oasis Spa for a 90min (excellent, same price), 5 star resort (average, double the price), Thai women ex-prisoners massage (memorable experience, quarter of of the price!). Here the reception area is stunning, but the actually massage rooms and area are rather somber. With so much to choose from in Chiang Mai, not worth the price.

The building is new and very presentable, I thought it was going to take a massage unlike any other but the service has not been customized, the masseuse had no technique with very similar movements, caught the masseuse touch phone, inclusive on facebook ... don't advise anyone has much better options through the streets of chiang mai

modern but cold and far away from professionalism, neither were we questioned if we suffer from any sickness or had a recent operation, nor if the therapist should concentrate or avoid some parts of the body, nor even about the pressure we would like. the treatment itself was just ok but not more, my wife and me had both the feeling that the therapist were in a hurry. Instead of the 90 minutes treatments the massage ended only after 75 minutes at a price of THB 1'600 p.P. As we have experienced already dozens of spas over a period of more than 25 years the visit was disappointing.

My partner and I found this by pure accident, after failing to locate another massage place in Chang Mai.

This place is the absolute pinnacle of what you would expect in a massage, and supreme luxury. From the moment you enter the front doors, you find yourself in this incredible room being greeted and pampered by the attendants. The place is so great that at this point your only worry is: " are they building the facade of the place to get you in, only to fall down when you get taken behind closed doors?"

Not at all!!!! The bit behind closed doors (aka the massage) is even better. Lovely rooms, clean, superb and friendly staff, and the massages were outstanding! You can choose from a variety of techniques (eg Swedish, Thai etc) or even the special Lanna technique massage.

In summary, this place is the lap of luxury (and trust me, my bar is set VERY high), with meticulous care for every detail. HIGHLY recommended.

We were introduced this SPA by the driver from flying squirrel. The environment outside looks spectacular, inside the individual room was fine. But my masseur, I think she didn't get well training of Thai massage skill:she lifted my head up using her hand give pressure from the top of my head, which created a compress force to my neck spine, very dangerous. Btw she speaks only Thai so I have no clue to communicate.

We stumbled on the Health Lanna Spa while walking in the neighborhood. Our hotel was just up the street. This turned out to be one of the best spots on our trip to Chiang Mai. The massage prices are a bit higher than street corner shops, but the cleanliness, pristine atmosphere, and quality of service was well worth the upgrade. $35 for a 1.5 hour Traditional Thai Massage, and $60 for a 1.5 hour Aromatherapy (Swedish) Massage. The masseurs were fantastic, well trained, and worked out every kink in my body! They all spoke just enough English to know when to lighten up, or in my case, when to go a little deeper. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Health Lanna Spa, and we cannot wait to visit again on our next trip to Chiang Mai!

Me and my husband went to there to have thai massage, it was double price of the shop on the street. The environment was good, clean and with music, separate area. My massagist was a lady, she was alright and my husband one was a guy but totally no energy and no skill at all. My husband said it was the worst massage ever tried all over the world. Even my husband asked him to push harder , he pressed weaker than any female massagist and doesn't know how to blend the body probably. We had 5 times massage in different shop during this cheap and found out the cheap massage shop in night brazer was the best and cheapest one! Only Thb 180 for thai massage , much better than health lanna spa!

We went to 4 spa centres during our Chiangmai trip and none can compare to Health Lanna Spa. The masseurs can just identify all yor sore spots and apply the right amount of strength consistently. Clean place but not luxurious. Best value for money. 750 baht only for 2 hours thai lanna massage. They seem to offer free pickup service too.
