I decided to do the 7-day all inclusive bootcamp instead of a week at a beach. Owner & PT Michelle picked me up at the airport and we spent most of the next 7 days together. This was a week, I will never forget!

I did circut training with 3 strong and lovely ladies, kayaked 14 k, walked a mountain (!), did Muay Thai boxing, cycled 65 k and worked a ricefield. Never in my wildesr dreams would I have believed to be able to complete all of this - but I did!!!
Michelle could read me and knew exactly when to push, encourage or stop. She helped me to get rid of 3cm waistline, 2kg fat AND gain 2 kg of muscles - without any injury! :-)

I will travel back to my country a stronger person in body and mind - the best kickstart I could wish for.

So....do I recommed the Absolute Bootcamp Fitness? Hell yes!! :-D

If you want something a little bit different, off the beaten path, challenging but fun all at the same time then I can thoroughly recommend Absolute Bootcamp. Michelle and her team organize everything, from the most minute, trivial details leaving you with ample time to focus on your fitness; even my clothes were washed, cleaned and delivered back to me ready to fight another day within 12 hours. From buffalo rice farming, to muay Thai boxing Absolute Bootcamp will completely captivate you; being bored is just not an option! The paleo diet provides an additional challenge that I personally would never have been able to complete at home without the motivation and zealous commitment of Michelle and the others. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Absolute Bootcamp and I hope to be able to return someday. Michelle I wish you and the team the best of luck, it was a pleasure working with you all. It was particularly gratifying meeting a genuine fitness fanatic who understands the real world, time pressures and the pitfalls of de-motivation. No is not in your vocabulary Michelle, and it wasn't in mine for 7 whole days! I hope to be able to continue on the righteous, sporty path!

I came to ABF for getting in shape for a 6700 km bike tour around Thailand.

It was one fantastic week, the right blend of serious tough workouts in a most pleasant fun atmosphere.

Diverse activities were undertaken bootcamp fitness, Thai boxing, army bootcamp circuit, wall climbing, Pilates, rice farming, water aerobics, tennis etc. All were coached by courteous, professional trainers.

Looking forward to making this an annual vacation.

We carried out the week long bootcamp holiday. Firstly I would like to thank the staff as overall we had a nice week. On reflection due to a few issues and our final days on the camp we decided it was average to very good. We have decided on average as a rating due to the price paid.

Starting with the excellent:
Pilates session
Aqua aerobics
Circuit sessions at Mango's studio
Choices of restaurants for lunch
Muay Thai boxers
Army course

As most of these activities were at the start of the week we felt the bootcamp tailed off in terms of fun and freshness towards the last three days.

The hotel was certainly very average and as we spent most of our time there this was a factor. On check in we weren't clear of the diet and a simple fact sheet and better communication with the staff may have helped. The breakfast was very poor and so made it hard to follow the Paleo diet in the morning without becoming very tired of greasy eggs.

I would also like to recommend the warm ups before the sessions be improved a little bit. I normally spend ten minutes warming up each major muscle group using the 10 min Popsugar online warm up session, but the warm up on the camp only involved jogging, star jumps, jumping and high knees. There was no warm up before the other activities.

There were some communication difficulties with one of the trainers who took us out on full days. Although he was lovely the difficulties communicating meant one of the activities was not carried out correctly and it also made for some quite awkward lunches.

I think the biggest factor we felt was disappointing was there was no weigh in or congratulations on the final day or a chance to leave this evaluation, we had said our brief goodbyes to the three trainers by Saturday and the last day we were with someone we hadn't met before. We haven't been able to access scales so am unsure how much weight we lost. The last day felt like a damp squib!

I may be being a little harsh rating average but over a whole week there quite a few issues which could be easily solved. I'm sure the team will continue to improve the package offered.

I absolutely love this bootcamp. It's awesome. This is my fourth series and I keep coming back for more and feel fitter and stronger than I have in years. The experiences are fun and memorable like kayaking down the Ping river and chasing people to grab tennis balls off them. I have made new friends and had a ball whilst getting fit in the process. The whole team is fun too. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

I completed the 7-day bootcamp and have lost a bit of weight, but more importantly came out feeling great, powerful and with my body visibly more toned. Michelle, Rin and Ann showed genuine care and concern for the bootcampers and were happy to tailor the course to our needs. The course was fun and Michelle pushes you such that you would definitely be sore at the end of each day - but it is also sustainable so that you can keep going the next day.

It's also worth noting that all activities are open-air, and some are at sightseeing spots e.g. we hiked up to a lovely temple one morning. Your day also ends by 4pm latest, which gives you a lot of time to explore Chiang Mai in the evening (or head to the spa). This means that the course would not "eat into" your holiday in the beautiful city.

DAILY STRUCTURE:
Morning - 8am or 9am starts
1 big activity (e.g. buffalo rice farming or army assault), or
circuits + 1 short activity (e.g. kayak or short hike)
Lunch
Afternoon - ends around 3-4pm
1 activity (e.g. Muay Thai, rock climbing)

THE DIET:
Michelle follows the Paleo diet, in which you avoid all processed foods (e.g. no carbs, no dairy, no refined sugars). It was relatively easy to follow and you eat well throughout the camp. We had fried ribs for lunch on the first day. Warning - I originally had no intention of sticking to this diet once I've left the camp (sorry Michelle!!) so the day I got out of camp I gave in to temptation and had cheese and cake. Within 15minutes I was feeling dizzy and nauseated, and throughout the rest of the day I had a throbbing headache that reminded me that (a) Michelle is always right, and (b) processed foods are really, really bad for you. I am now seriously considering adopting Paleo for good.

All in all - great people and an excellent experience all round! Thank you so much and keep up with the good work :)

Wow! You don't need to read on - if you're thinking about booking a bootcamp with Michelle and team, just do it! I promise you won't be disappointed. But if you need a bit more encouragement here goes...

I spent seven days with Michelle, mostly one on one so my experience was intense but fantastic! I was already at an average fitness level, but really wanted to build strength and improve my fitness. I was attracted to this specific bootcamp for two reasons. One - you actually learn about what is good for you including diet and can therefore apply it in your life once bootcamp is over. Two - it combines great Chiang Mai sight seeing and activities, a perfect way to see and truly experience the city whilst getting fit!

Michelle had a programme worked out and was more than happy to tweak it and change things around in order to tailor it to my own personal needs and preferences. Activities included a Thai Army assault course, Muay Thai boxing, ploughing a rice field with a real Buffalo, circuit training, challenges at Chiang Mai Zoo and the Royal Flora Gardens, kayaking, cycling and hiking. All activities were great fun and obviously very varied, so I never felt a sense of repetition. I can also stress that each activity would be suitable for all fitness levels as each can be adjusted accordingly.

The food was incredible! Michelle wants to ensure that you can go to a nice restaurant and know what to order whilst keeping your body healthy. So we ate out daily and every lunch was stunning! I was able to experience places in Chiang Mai that I never would have found on my own.

The resort (Kiree Thara) was nice and very relaxed. The room was large and modern with a comfortable bed, which is important on this bootcamp! I loved returning from bootcamp daily and diving in the pool then having a nap on a sun bed! The staff were friendly and the special bootcamp menu is great with plenty to choose from.

I can't recommend this activity highly enough - I will be back for certain. The bootcamp has changed my perception of exercise - it's all fun! Also eating - I'm far more aware of what I'm putting into my body and the effects of different foods - now I can make informed choices about how I look after myself. Thanks Michelle!

Can't believe I'd say that after so much sweat, but what a fabulous way to combine a holiday with getting into shape. Nothing much happens in Thailand before midday so a couple of hours of fitness before hitting the sights, restaurants , shopping was such a good way to make sure you come back in great shape and rejuvenated! One day kayaking down the river, next trekking through jungle, it was all such a great experience. Thanks Michelle and Dave - will be back again next time the office flab gets the better of me.

It had the pleasure to join Absolute Fitness Camp for a weekend at Mae Nai Gardens Resort and it was an incredible experience. Despite everyone said I was mad spending the weekend torturing myself it was a great and different way of spending my weekend. We did a variety of sports, it was very diversified which made it all a lot easier to exercise and I never felt into the boredom of working out in a regular gym. Michelle and her team are very creative in finding new places to and interesting exciting activities to offer their students.

I can not rate this experience highly enough. I travelled from AUS to do the bootcamp, left my 3 children under 5 with their grandparents. I wanted to kickstart myself back into fitness whilst exploring Chiang Mai. The Bootcamp offered more than what I was expecting.
First off, the trainers are fabulous. Led by Michelle, each and everyone of them pushed me, allowed me to vent, but made it enjoyable. They cater for your level of fitness. Mine was pretty low but others had great fitness levels, therefore the trainers pushed them harder when required.
Is it hard work? Absolutely!!! Did I cry? Absolutely (I hate heights)!!! Would I come back? Absolutely!!!
What I liked most about the camp was the different activities that we did which allowed us to explore parts of Chiang Mai that I wouldn't have seen if I travelled their on my own. The army assault course was awesome (well apart from the flying fox), Muay thai allowed me to release a whole heap of stress, circuits exposed a whole heap of weaknesses in different parts of my body. Its difficult to explain it in words, but I recommend it.
Thanks to Michelle and her family (including the puppies) for extending their hospitality to us.
