I had no previous experience in Muay Thai. I wanted to do a few days of training and I knew that it's going to be hard- it was murder - 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon! The instructors were really professional and helped me so much- was more like 1 on 1. Really loved the place, the atmosphere !

Absolutely great training in Chiang Mai. I arrived for 2 morning sessions on the recommendation of Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu. Renovations are complete, and the site is really exceptionally well-appointed for its size. Kru Deng is off the charts friendly and helpful, but then so were all the other instructors I met, each of whom immediately grasped my (intermediate, non-professional) level and worked with me where I was while modifying instruction for all the other students, farang and local alike. A respectful environment, but with a true focus on conditioning alongside technique. That said: lots of laughs to be had, too. Don't come looking to be pampered, and you'll get a ton of learning and fun out of the 2+ hour sessions.

I trained here for 1 week while staying in Chiang Mai. I did both the morning and afternoon sessions. The morning class was a little shorter and there were often a lot less people, but this was good as I got a lot of one-to-one time with the trainers. The afternoon session is pretty tough, especially if you've already been that morning. I have some Muay Thai experience but this place would be perfect for a beginner too. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time here and I was sorry I had to leave.

First came to Lanna 5 years ago 2007, trained there for 6 months had 5 fights for them and then i got injured... the training at first was hard and intense, when i was injured in early 2008, i had to break for a few months, i regurlary have traveled back over the years for a month or two at a time, only to find the place slowly falling apart, trainers caring less and less about the camp, the owner, Andy is never there anymore and generally the place often has a dead unenergetic feel.. other boxers tend to keep to their own rooms and groups and as i progressed in my competency there were less and less decent boxers to spar with. I last came to lanna in early 2012 only to find the place nearly empty and running out of money, the pushy head trainer DEN always trying to sell me tickets to "show fights" in the night market, and the other trainer WANG asking me to buy him beer and lend him money and the trainer TEYWIN trying to sell me dope, when i told him i didnt want it he became rude and would never talk to me again. I made the mistake of bringing my Swedish girlfriend there, we had been together for 3 years at the time, all the trainers were really sleazy to her and made her feel uncomfortable and persisted in asking me overt questions about our sexual practices while they were holding pads for me. overall the camp has gone down the drain, there is alot of competition in chiang mai now, some newer gyms like KC and teamquest seem to have the newer energy that may be needed for modern style training...

I have practiced Muay Thai for well over a decade. I have trained in a few gyms in Thailand as well as in other countries. I am a competent padman with plenty of experience.

I came here for a session since I was in Chiang Mai, as my trainer back in England trained here years ago and it had a great reputation back in the day. I don't know what happened, but I got a terrible session with an old trainer who could not be bothered. I was basically ignored and then given a half-hearted few rounds on the pads.

If you want a real MT gym in Chiang Mai, then try out Santai

the thai trainers were not very interested in the individual fighters, everyone got the same training, which is good if you go there for fitness reasons, but bad if you want to improve your technics. best trainer there is ROBIN MAXWELL, he is the owner of "vanessas motorbike rental" and a passionate muay thai trainer. he is going to open up his own gym and a very detailed and focused person. train with him if you can!

Trained there 1.5 week, i was little dissapointed morning session, not so many people in morning, got my pad work but after that did everything myself. Afternoon session was great, many people 3 hours nonstop training include pad work, bag work, clinching, sparring- depents what day is and after that group training-push ups, pull ups etc.
Overall have to say good place to train muay thai dosnt matter if u are beginner or a fighter.

We did 5 morning trainings there from 6h30 to 9h00! It's pretty intense and the people there are serious. The trainers are nice, you need to do what they say, but if you do so, you get to "fight" against them and it's so much fun! We were sad to go, we would have loved to stay there longer!
The only improvement point would be that they could probably clean a little bit more the material and the floors to limit bad smell... But if you are not a cleanliness control freak, you will fall in love with that place!
Thank you for making us discover that sport!

I was here yesterday, training time 3 hour if you have enough energy to do it, but is very flexible, just do what ever you wanna do, they don't push you. For the beginner may be little confuse, what to do, but the keys just don't be shy follow the other for starching and worming up. And tell them if you are the beginner in Muaythai. For advance user, but don't really have experience how to fight in the ring, it's the place you wanna go, they teach us just like we were on the real fight. It's very fun and learning much, also all the trainer are so friendly and welcome.

I have trained Muay Thai in England for many years and always dreamed of training in Thailand. I visited the gym to see if and when I could train. All members I met were very friendly and very welcoming. My training session was great, feeling like I have learnt a lot. It's not the fanciest gym, but that didn't effect anything. A proper sweaty workout. Would defiantly recommend to friends & visit again when I return to Thailand.
