Our experience with Chiang Mai Driver Guide was absolutely excellent! We are a couple with a 12 years old daughter and had Sutthi as a guide. We travel a lot alone for work therefore we are not used to have guides but Sutthi is like having a friend with you. We booked 3 days in Mae Hon Son + Pai + national park and we loved every moment and will cherish all the memories. Sutthi is an amazing guide and such a kind human being. He has a lot of informations and transforms every moment into something special. My daughter fell in love with the sticky rice cooked in sugar cane and we wouldn't have discovered it without him :-) and me and my husband will always remember the silent sunset at the temple in Maehongson. He makes you have local experiences, takes you to places he knows, but knows when to give you time alone to embrace silence, sunsets or evening hours. We will always remember his funny side as part of our trip in the north. Last but not least I felt in total safety with his driving skills!
Thank you Sutthi! You are the best guide someone would want!

We booked a private guide to take us to the temples in the Chiang Mai area as well as Doi Suthep. We booked a private tour because we wanted to start a bit later on our first day in Asia. The guide (I don't remember his name but he told us he was the least experienced on the team) and his company did a great job of picking about 5 temples from the hundreds that are in the Chiang Mai area to visit. Each was unique and it was interesting to hear the stories behind them.
The guide took us to a local lunch that was our first experience with noodle soup.
We really enjoyed this guide and this day. I would recommend this company. They were very easy to communicate with from the U.S.

My wife and I took a one day tour to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai to see the White Temple, Blue Temple and Black House. We selected this tour because many offerings take up to 14 hours plus. In a minibus. That's a lot of travel time; possible half the total time. The private tour allowed us to customise our trip, keep it to 10 hours and see the main cultural attractions, without feeling rushed. The temples are not ancient sites, but modern phenomena driven by artists and their vision. A blend of tradition and the absurd. (You can find Pikachu and a Transformer on one of the walls.) Our guide was Sart, a former Buddhist monk. We could not have been happier with our trip. He detailed the history of each location, patiently took pictures of us, offered insights into Buddhist life, schooling and life after he left school. (Did you know that many Thai men become monks, even if it's just for a few weeks?) Sart was very accommodating, a careful driver, informative and just a nice guy to hang around. Highly recommend this company!

Sutthi always responded very quickly on our fluctuating plans via email (thihampitak@gmail.com) and managed to get us a driver (Suriya) on very short notice.
What we needed and got was a driver & guide for 8 days that would take us to the places that we wanted to go to, be flexible (we didn’t have all our accommodation booked and sure how long we wanted to be there), and wanted someone who can speak English, know the local culture and traditions, and still wanted someone who gave us our space to explore by ourselves, and take us to off-the-beaten track places. We got all this from this and Suriya made our trip special!
Sutthi met us on our arrival by bus from Bangkok to guide me with some of my itenary questions. The next morning Suriya picked us up, and was our driver-guide for 8 days until we arrived back in Chiang Mai. We went from CM to visit Wat Chalermprakiat on route to Chiang Rai where we spent a few days by ourselves, visited the Golden Triangle, then drove through beautiful Doi Mae Salong where we visited a tea plantation, and then slept over at Tha Ton. From there we took the stunning scenic route: Pai (which we loved), Mae Hong Son and on route to Doi Inthanon National Park visited the tribal village by boat. Suriya/Sutthi arranged a Homestay for us in the coffee plantation in DINP (Ban Mae Klang Luang Homestay) which was also memorable. We then drove to CM after stopping to do bamboo rafting.
8 days was to short for this most beautiful area (North and North West) area of Thailand!
Thank you Sutthi, and a huge thank you to Suriya for making our (it was me and my son who just finished school) trip special!

Highly recommend Peung as the best guide and driver in Chiang Mai. We traveled all around Thailand and Peung was the person who made our stay the most memorable and special. Not only she was punctual, understanding and took us to all the best places in the area including restaurants but also she made sure we tried bamboo sticky rice or took clean clothes from home for us to make our elephant adventure more comfortable. Even though we saw so much during our trip to Thailand now remembering it all we liked the most Chiang Mai thanks to Peung.

Sutthi Hampitak is our responsible, knowlegeable, friendly & humorous guide.
A big thanks to him for customising an interesting & enjoyable 6 days Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai tour for 8 of us. The itinerary was well planned & executed. Our tour fare covered admission charges, lunches, transport & guiding. Sutthi provided us with interesting information about Thailand and places of interest. He reverted to my emails prompty in less than 24h. He always showed us ideal location for photo shoot & could compose pretty good group photos for us.He allowed us to choose what we like for A la carte lunches. He was kind to send us to restaurants for dinner on our own. He was so caring that he must ensure that the name of restaurant was correct before we entered the restaurant for dinner. He treated us with his home grown organic sweet papaya & banana daily. He also bought honey dates, small pineapples & steamed rice in bamboo at the roadside stalls for us to try.
The 12 seater coach was kept clean daily & comfortable. Our experienced driver always greeted us with smile.

I cannot recommend Sutthi enough! I emailed him and told him what type of thing I was looking for, and he provided several options for us to choose from. The experience was amazing from the start. Communication before our tour was amazing, he arrived on time in a late model vehicle, drove safely, was easy to communicate with, gave us a great tour, and was good to talk to in general. You cannot do better!

We really enjoyed our 6 day trip to Northern Thailand with Sutthi (guide) and Pop(driver).
The itinerary had been suggested by Sutthi and we only added a visit to the elephant care camp in Chiang Mai. It was a long journey starting from Bangkok - with main stops at Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Lampang, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Golden Triangle.
Sutthi was very friendly, punctual, knowledgable and professional. He organised the trip in a such a way, so that we visited key attractions early in the morning or later in the day, so that we could avoid the crowds (we never needed to queue). He also organised the lunches in local restaurants and offered to try various dishes (unknown to us), which turned out to be very delicious. He was also offering desserts (as not all local thai restaurants offer ones) and snacks during the trip.
Amazing sights have been included in the trip - and Sutthi provided excellent guidance. He was always providing valuable information and taking pictures of the group.
The vehicle was an air conditioned van Toyota for 9 passengers, but we were only 4. Bottles of cold drinking water were available all the time.
Pop (the driver) was driving carefully and always as per our requests. Pop is a brilliant driver with excellent sense of humour (his English was very good, by the way).
Our journey was long, but not very tiring, because the vehicle was comfortable, the driver was excellent and the guide was a great company. We had as many comfort breaks as we wished.
Sutthi has selected really good hotels - good location and great amenities.

With Sutthi and Pop we had a feeling we were having a trip with friends. They made our trip a lovely experience.

This tour was everything advertised- we stopped at the hot spring to cook quail eggs which was a fun, quirky thing to do, then we visited the spectacular white temple (crowded but worth it), the Karen longneck tribe, the golden triangle, and the Opium house. We had a delicious roadside local lunch, and felt very safe with our driver in a super comfy van. It was a long 14-hour day but with many stops breaking it up in the beginning. On the way back we slept comfortably! Highly recommend.

Our driver/guide Pop was very friendly and knowledgeable, although somewhat distracted on his mobile phone at times. His English was great and he was very flexible in responding to our plan change requests. Although the places we visited were amazing, the drive from Mai to Rai is really long. (No way to fix that!). Khop khun kha, Pop!
