We were looking for something to do outside the heat and bustle of the city and this worked a treat. Pick up in the morning was smooth. The location of the bike shop was quite far out of the city at a hotel also run by the owner. Plenty of bikes to choose from. It was interesting to see Thai rural culture by bike and the guide did his best to answer any questions. I wouldn’t recommend this trip if you have young children riding alone as we had to cross a busy dual carriage way - twice. We stopped at a temple (not able to enter), a pre-school, and a wood work factory. Lunch was a small buffet back at the hotel before we were taken back to our hotel. Good trip if you have some extra time in Chiang Mai.…

We were collected from Chiang Mai centre and deposited at Chiang Mai airport after the tour. The 5 day tour was mapped out for us. A Garmin handlebar device with the route already loaded made navigation straightforward. There were 3 easy days of 45 km on the flat to start with, before the more challenging latter two days. Routes were generally on quiet roads where cars gave plenty of space to bicycles. We cycled anti-clockwise round Chiang Mai, past tiny hamlets, towns, rice fields, plantations, forest, wooded areas and a large reservoir. The caves were spectacular, the warm sulphur pond busy but worth stopping to swim. Hybrid bikes were well maintained, with padlocks and helmets provided. We didn't need to use any of the 8 puncture repair kits. Lunches and coffee stops were taken at the roadside in small restaurants. Ordering in English was possible with some pointing and description. Dinner was in in the accommodation except Lamphun where we were near the centre. All the accommodation was comfortable and welcoming. Chiang Mai doesn't do twin beds, King size beds for two were the interpretation offered. In preparation, John replied immediately to all questions and deposit and final payment made by paypal. An excellent family holiday with adult children. Do stay at the Little Village after the tour. The final day is 80 km; so relaxing in the pool without having to travel anywhere was very welcome.…

Review of: Biking And Cooking
We had a good day, it was and easy ride, Was not offered helmets but did see them there, Lovely swim in the pool then to Market to buy vegetables for cooking class. Cooking class was a bit basic but the food was nice. The beers were over priced but when on holidays we still had to have a beer with our meal :-). Front guide was great but one down the back didn't let one of our party know when to turn off the end and no one realised she was missing until she had ridden to the highway and back…

Well done Chiangmai Bicycle! What a great way to spend two days. We were picked up from the airport and brought to Little Village resort in the middle of the countryside outside Chiangmai. We visited the local market and then cooked three delicious dishes for our dinner that evening. We stayed the night at Little Village a small simple resort with a nice pool and very comfy beds! The next morning we cycled through the countryside, flat good quality non busy roads and a great guide. We then had lunch and after lunch we were transported to our new hotel in Chiangmai. All this for approx £75 per person. Highly recommended. Thank you to all. …
