Visited the square where the statue is during the Loy Krathong festival.. Would have probably skipped otherwise. Easy to find and beautiful during the lantern festival.

The monument is in a nice park like area. Lots of local Cafes, shops and restaurants in the area. A few seated areas.

We just passed through and took a couple of pictures. Chiangmai Cultural Center is just nearby. Other temples are just nearby, you can visit them on foot.

We were passing by in the afternoon when we came across the monument. You can just have a look around and take a picture or 2. But nothing much to do here otherwise.

This is an important historical statue for the city, celebrating the birth of chiang mai but what you can see in the photo is it.

This little square is awesome at night full of life and people. Some times you even get a sick show from the BMXers of Chiang Mai. It's also packed during the Sunday market and had Lovely black temple right next door.
