About Inthanon Heaven Trail
Inthanon Heaven Trail+Maeklang elephant conservation is the best sanctuary. we spend everything to make elephants happy. We make a good place for elephants to live and try to rescue more and more elephants as much as we can. And of course with the heaven trail at Doi Inthanon National park, Kew Mae Pan, the view is nice and the nature is perfect. So the trip will be the best combo in Chiangmai.

We booked a combo ticket for heaven trail and for elephant sanctuary. We loved both activity, it was much more than we expected. Kevin was our tour guide, who took really good care of us. The heaven trail gave us amazing wiews to the mountains, and the elephants were adorable. They didn’t force them to do anything for us, we fed them with sugar cane and went to bath with them in the lake. It was so much fun!

Great way to interact with the elephants. The elephants are well cared for and happy at Sky Camp. William the baby elephant born in October 2019 is SO cute! We had a great day - a bit of a drive to the camp but well worth it. The hike is about 1.5 hours with a panoramic view and a trip to the pagodas afterwards. Thank you Inthanon Heaven Trial!

This was our favorite sanctuary. We can only speak for the half-day adventure and I will. Kevin, our guide, was excellent from start to finish. An affable sort that makes you feel welcome and appreciated. The elephants at Inthanon are very docile which allows for safe, comfortable interaction during the entire stay. We were accidentally fortunate enough to visit when William, the calf, was 4 months old. What a joy. We have been all over the world, seen many things and been on many such excursions, if you will. This one is one of those that will stay with us for life.

We chose the combination of elephant camp, hike on Kew Mae Pan nature trail and visit to the Royal Pagodas. The day was full and very fun with lots of elephant playtime, a lunch then the hike and Pagodas. The hike has lots of stairs up and down, with some elevation gain so you need to be OK with some moderate exertion. The views were amazing on the hike and then the visit to the Royal Pagodas was spectacular too. All in all, it was everything we were hoping for to see Doi Inthanon and elephants in one day away from Chiang Mai. The drive there was quite long, and some of it on 2-lane mountain roads can feel a bit scary, but the driver seemed experienced with this route.

I have never had an experience at any elephant camping before. I personally was a bit scared about the elephants, but it’s so incredible how you get along with them, specially you can play and feed the elephants around, also you can have a bath around the river with the elephants , of course the camping have brilliant staff and look after the animals so well as your safety, I had a chance plant a banana tree. I had an unforgettable experience going also around the local village with the camping staff. It’s beautiful how they the small community live over there. I have stayed over night with such a great view in their bangalô along the river, which is so peaceful, calm and surely amazing for couples and solo adventures. The camping provided a very generous yummy Thai food (Thai breakfast, lunch and beautiful dinner With plenty of tea, coffee). Alcohol is no permitted to sell in the camping, however you are permitted to buy it in the local village. The camping is located a bit far from old town, but they provide you a van to pick you up and drop off from your original stay. Also I would recommend the tracking in the National Park , it’s speechless. No more to say , just GO and DO it :)
