What an amazing experience! We cooked spring rolls, yellow curry, stir-fried chicken and steamed bana cake. The chef made it look easy! It all started at the market and we learned the names of many new fruits and veggies! A not-to-be-missed experience!

I was a little sceptical about this place. Considering all the positive reviews I thought there must be something weird. But...I was wrong. We went for a cooking course - the four of us - and ended in a groups of 9 in total. It...More

Cooking school in Chiang Mai (17 Replies)
I've tried many cooking schools that are well known, but they don't compare to how professional and more creative these 2 ladies are. Rutch and A at Thai orchid cookery school are wonderful chefs. They are so welcoming, patient, honest and sincere. I didn't want to cook the usual menu so they changed my options to suite my taste with no ploblems or hassels. They were more than happy to accomodate. When I was in the class there were 2 adults and 2 children in my group and we were all treated...More

Thai Orchid Cookery School (1 Replies)
I should also add I have attended another well known cooking school in Chiang Mai, completing a full course. The Thai orchid cookery school is smaller classes, more personalized, both professonal but friendly atmosphere, value for money, plactical explanations in English, willingness to cater to special needs. This school is A+++ and should be seriously considered if you are looking for a traditional Thai cooking class. I would not go elsewhere and will return many times

Last week, I had a great experience at Thai orchid cookery school. Learnt heaps, laughed and ate so much. Raat and A were so very helpful, not only did I learn how to cook amazing Thai food I also learnt so much about the Thai way of life and culture from them. I will recommend this school to people visiting Chiang Mai in the future cheers Helen
