Our trek with TMT, “In the Lahu High Country” was nothing short of amazing! Our guide, George, was phenomenal with our two young boys, ages 7 & 9, keeping them moving and motivating them during difficult sections of the trail. The views from the trail were beautiful. It was interesting to sleep in the Lahu village and learn a bit about this group. If your family enjoys trekking I would highly recommend Thailand Mountain Trails. We were very impressed with the trip.

Everything about this company is top notch. The owner, Sebastian, accommodated our changing schedule to get my wife and I the Sacred Jungle Trail Trek with a private guide. Our guide was Gib who was so kind, knowledgeable, and fun! She went at our speed and gave us detailed information about the history of the trails and the temples we visited. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to avoid large group tours and get a more authentic view of the Thai trails.

Nice trail. Beautiful mountains. Sebastian does a good job creating this 135km trail and getting the local villages to host us for 3 nights. Great time of the year to run in the cold mountains too — except there is no hot water for showers every night (which is expected.)

I did the two-day trek “The Karen Land of Rice” with TMT. I was seduced during the preparation of my trip by the fact that it seemed that there was a real partnership between TMT and the local populations and what I experienced during this trek showed me that this was indeed the case.
During these two days, we passed in places and on paths where we did not come across any other groups of hikers. We also crossed rice fields or fruit fields (oranges, grapefruit, etc.) in which farmers worked, respecting their work and the plantations.
The course presents real difficulties but at the age of 66 I overcame all the obstacles and the reward was the discovery of magnificent landscapes: waterfalls, mountains, fields as far as the eye can see…
For the evening and the night we were welcomed in a small Karen village by local people of absolute kindness and the language difference was not really an obstacle, the meal was excellent, the beds comfortable and our hosts welcomed us. shared some of their working methods: weaving, sorting rice…
After two days of walking, we arrive at the edge of a simply magnificent temple, perhaps one of the most beautiful I have seen in Thailand: Wat Prabat Si Roi.
The organization was perfect, we had two guides for two thirds of the route: a local guide who lives in these mountains and who could possibly open the route for us with his machete in cases where the vegetation was too dense and then there was the TMT guide who took care of us throughout this trek, his name is OB, he was really perfect, he was available and answered all our questions, efficient and very kind, he was also able to tell us some stories legends and anecdotes.
After this rare and superb experience I highly recommend TMT for trekking if you go to Chiang Mai.

The best experience I’ve ever had in Chiang Mai. Great hike, amazing trail, muddy and slippery. Some places are very steep but manageable to climb. We passed a beautiful and tranquil temple on our way. Our guide “Mit” is a very professional, experienced trail runner, an athlete, and an expert in the area. I will definitely book with TMT to do another trail trip in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended 👍🏻

We just had an incredible 3 days trek with TMT. The route was challenging but the viewpoints and the variety of landscapes were worth each step 😅
This experience is for you if you are looking for a sportive hike off the track in quiet remote areas. We literally didnt see any other tourist than us during 3 days and were very well welcomed in the villages where we spent the night. Food was delicious.
The guides we had with us were super nice and friendly. Thank you George and Mit- you were awesome!
We had a really good time and would recommend hiking with TmT if you’re lloking for something unique.

We went trekking with Thailand mountain Trail from the 3rd to the 5th of January 2020. Beeing a family of trekkers we chose the Great Escape to Chiang Dao which looked like a good balance between challenge and pleasure.
We were so happy about our choice, everything was just perfect. Great choice of scenic trails, incredible view points (chiang Dao mountains look just awesome), accomodation in traditionnal villages, huge amount of food and the most important nice company.
Thanks a lot to Sebastien for organizing our best ever trip to Thailand (where we went more than 15 times).
We highly recommend TMT.

i’m strongly recommending TMT. We made 5 days(2D/3D) trek in the Chiang Mai mountains and we will keep a great souvenir of this adventure. Sebastien and his team are really wonderful. TMT is proposing real treks, you can book anyone of them, you won’t be disappointed, for sure !
We did not see any other tourist than us during those 5 days and were very well welcomed in the villages we slept. Food was amazing and beer was even fresh ! Incredible.
It was a real adventure, walking behind John or Sebastien, our guide, as they were sometimes tracing a trail with a machete in the jungle. The itineraries in the jungle, along the rivers, waterfalls in the wild, in the mud were fantastic …
It’s now your turn to book with TMT !

We had a great day trek on trails that we were the only ones to take.
Our guide, Mit, is very friendly and funny and very attentive to us whether and to take photos or to show us the different nice places.
It was a great time and I recommend multi-day treks if you ever have the time.

A wonderful family experience. We are a French family with three children, the youngest being 9 years old. We chose the 2-day hike "in the Lahu Highlands," where we walked about 25 km over 2 days and climbed a total elevation of more than 1500 m. We were joined by another group of three young women in their 20s, and this experience was enriching for everyone! Our Guide, "Share," was our official Guide and spoke English, but there was also a Second Guide (sorry, I can't recall his name) who was incredible—a young man from the village of Kup Kap who hiked in his mountains wearing flip-flops! 😅 We loved the landscapes, the warm welcome from our village hosts, and spending the night in a traditional setting. We will gladly return to explore more trails! Thank you, Share, for your patience with all of us!

Cordialement. TMT
