Visted Baan Farm Cooking School this afternoon. It was the highlight of our trip to Chang Mai so far! Everything was amazing, Jumpii and her family and colleagues were lovely and so helpful.
We made 5 dishes, all of which were delicious and unique with generous portion sizes. The day was divided between the visiting the local market, cooking in the kitchen and picking fresh produce from the farm.
We were also picked up and dropped off at our hotel making the day completely hassle free. We would highly recommend this for anyone interested in learning about Thai cuisine. A thoroughly enjoyable experience :)

This was an amazing experience!! Beautifully arranged. We were picked up promptly from our hotel, given a menu to pick dishes to pick from ( 1 appetizer, 1 soup, 1 entree, 1 curry, 1 dessert). Then we went to a local market and tried to some yummy fruit and had time to explore market. We then were driven to Baan farm cooking school. We were able to pick out some home grown spices , flowers, fruits to have in our dishes. There was a complimentary tea upon welcome. A beautiful butterfly pea tea. Then we began cooking our dishes. Our host was so sweet and amazing. We were so full by end of it. The dishes were beyond delicious. Highly recommend this booking!!!

You may enjoy your overpriced "class" while you're there, but note that your support creates heavy noise pollution in the neighborhood. Once you leave, they party well past midnight with music blasting at over 100 dB to celebrate their exploits. During the day, this industrial enterprise plows its land with heavy machinery, causing a 24-hour cycle of unapologetic noise for its neighbors so that you can be entertained for a few hours before you go back to your hotel. Please be considerate toward the local community and rethink how you want to enjoy your vacation.

We booked this class the day before on a bit of a whim and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip through Thailand. On-time pick up at our hotel and then a fun visit to a local market with our guide to learn about some of the local fruits and veggies. Then onto the farm out in the countryside.
It was a beautiful location and fun to walk around grabbing a few things needed for the cooking. One of the things that made this class seem appealing was the opportunity for each person to make five different dishes and actually have quite a wide choice for what you wanted to make. It would seem impossible to have a class of 10 people making all these different dishes - but they pulled it off seamlessly. And I actually feel like I got to cook and prepare the dishes myself.
And the food was delicious! And more than you could possibly eat. It really felt like you had been invited to someone's home to help prepare a family meal. And they send you the recipes via e-mail before you've even left the property! Can't wait to try to recreate the recipes at home.
Highly, highly recommend this class.

We heard from friends of ours about this place and are so glad that we did! We reached out via FB messenger as the website was hard to navigate and within minutes had all my questions answered and booked an afternoon class. Ploy picked us up at 14:15 in a very nice car, we chose what we wanted to cook (each different) and we headed for the market to learn about some of the ingredients needed. After brief stop at the market with some banana sticky rice, we drove ~15 minutes through a residential area to get to Baan Farms. We enjoyed tea while feeding the fish and walked around briefly to pick some herbs and veggies for the dishes. We then got to work making our appetizers and soup which we got to enjoy before making our mains and dessert. It was so great to have Ploy and Joy helping us with each course. As we enjoyed the food we also got a beer to wash it down. Even for American standards we couldn’t finish all the food and got a takeaway box. Thank you so much for having us at your family owned farm!!

This was a fantastic day and far exceeded my expectations. Most importantly, they cater extremely well for dietary requirements/vegetarians/vegans! We had a great time exploring the local markets and trying new foods before heading to the farm. Once there, we picked fresh herbs and began our cooking lesson. The teaching was great and so much fun. The portions are extremely generous so go hungry!!! I’d recommend asking to take a couple of dishes home with you. Lovely people running the school, you’d be silly to go elsewhere!

The class was all right overall, many of the ingredients were fresh and the place is beautiful. Being many people at once made it hard to follow the instructions. We were very pressured with time, probably also because it took a long time to get there by car after picking everybody up. The thing I liked the least was all the entertainment provided round the clock as part of the tourist package, while at least for some people, all you want is a honest and simple cooking experience.

We had an amazing morning cooking, couldn’t have booked a better class! I am vegan and gluten free and they looked after me so well. It was such a great experience seeing the farm and the market as well as cooking. They staff were all fantastic and they even email you the recipes to follow. We left so full of delicious food, and couldn’t have asked for more from them.

Phoy was great, very professional. Loved every minute from the trip to the market to the beautiful setting of the organic farm, to the exquisitely clean classroom. She made the food seem easy to prepare, and so DELICIOUS! Highly recommend.
