This was located at the end of the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar stretch, closer to Tha Phae Gate. It was a small hipster night market that seemed to be catered for Westerners. The highlight for me was V Secret, as I had seen that it was popular among the vegan community according to apps like Happy Cow. I tried 3 vegan food items for 140 baht - tempeh curry (small amount and slightly bland), Northern Thai sausage (flavourful with spices and herbs but mock meat fell apart easily), fried banana flower fritters (taste and texture bomb - crunchy, chewy, sweet, and sour). From another roasted meats stall, I also got roasted pork ribs at 80 baht for 100g, which was presented in a visually aesthetic way and tasted nice (though the ribs mostly consisted of bones).

Where the locals flocks where as tourists look for a more authentic Thai local experience. Here is a much more modern setting with food counters all around. You can pick up your food from any of the counters and find a table to sit. There is usually a band playing in the evening and few shops where you can pick up curious and things.A good vibe to the place but generally more expensive compared to few of the other local cousins.

Definitely catering to westerners, this place is well worth the visit if for no other reason than to see a very good cover band called Tomorrow Never Late. And there is room up front for dancing although it takes a few brave souls to get up there first before the floor fills up. The food and beer are overpriced but you can easily afford it unless you are on a backpacker's budget. Lots of food choices, places to sit and eat, relatively clean and roomy bathrooms and you might even find something cool to buy at the Night Bazaar market.

Good vibe to this outdoor eatery, not like the other markets it's more atuned to dining and entertainment.
A live band which doesn't drown out conversation and contemporary music.
A wide variety of Asian and western food options well presented and cooked in hygienic stalls.
Well priced good atmosphere we liked it alot. Oh and it's not all youngsters there are a few middle aged folk there as well.
Not a good rainy day venue due to the lack of overhead cover.

A nice place, equivalent to Shoreditch or Croydon box park. A tourist trap at tourist prices.
It is still lovely, a nice atmosphere, but you will not find many locals here.

A large beer was around £3.75
A sharing platter for 2 was £7.50-£12.50 Koch I think its still clew, but is pricey for Thailand.

A few stalls mixed in and plenty of choice of food from Thai to Texmex and everything in between.

If you want a change of food or a taste of home, head here. If you want authentic Thai, head down the road to one of the many Hawkers nearby.

A new year, a new visit, the old favorites are still there. The thin crust pizza is still great and a medium for two is 195 baht. The beer is plentiful but a little pricey, the entertainment hit and miss, but more hits than misses and the vibe is relaxed.

Live music, food from all over the world, wine, beer and cocktails, Thai dancing, a kids play areas and nice free restrooms. From kabobs to vegan dishes, sushi to pizza and crepes and ice team, they have something for everyone and every age. With dozens of tables, we didn’t have any trouble finding places to sit (we were there from 6-9pm). We LOVED spending our night in the Ploen Ruedee Night Market and would highly recommend it!

The Ploen Rudee Night Market is our favorite place to be in the evening. Many food stalls with all kinds of food: Korean, Thai, burgers, bbq, pizza, gyros, vegetarian, chinese, pancakes, ice-creams etc. High level entertainment. Best groups perform between 20.00 and 22.00 hrs. Personal favourites: Tomorrow Never Late band and The Courage band (reggae). A market where you can see and meet all kinds of people with different ages and from different countries. Very easy going atmosphere. TOP!

You cannot miss visiting the main shopping center of the city – Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Even if you are not in any mood to shop, do visit this lively market with hundreds of vendors and an absolute flood of products for sale. It is a different kind of experience altogether.

This particular section or night market stands out from the rest of the street or area. Much more colourful, livelier and modern. Lots of funky food stalls and good live bands playing, drawing in the crowds
