    Cooking Class - Tom
Tom was a very good cooking instructor. We had a very nice experience and learned how to cook traditional Thai dishes. We also went to a market and picked up vegetables from the garden, would definitely recommend it.

    Unforgettable Thai Cooking Class Experience
I recently attended a Thai cooking class that left a lasting impression. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, creating a welcoming environment. They introduced us to the essence of Thai cuisine, explaining key ingredients and techniques. The hands-on cooking experience was the highlight. We learned to prepare authentic Thai dishes like Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai, with instructors guiding us every step of the way. They emphasized the use of quality ingredients and shared tips on sourcing them. The class encouraged interaction, allowing us to ask questions and connect with fellow participants. The cooking studio was well-organized and clean, providing a professional setting. Overall, this Thai cooking class is highly recommended for anyone interested in Thai cuisine. The instructors' passion and commitment to authenticity make it a worthwhile experience.

Julie was the best cooking instructor. My food was delicious and I learned so much. This class was the best experience I have had so far on my Thailand trip. Julie was so knowledgeable, energetic, and fun. I will always remember this experience with Julie and our team! Also some of the best food I have had yet, AND I get to say that I made it myself! #TeamJulie

    Educational, tasty and fun!!
We did the evening course, which was nice because it got cooler. We had a really lovely time and the instructor was good fun and gave clear instructions. They picked you up and dropped you off at our city centre accommodation which was great. There were lots of recipes to choose from and lovely fresh produce. They also had a photographer going round and they send you the recipes to keep. A fantastic experience and would highly recommend.

    Lovely cooking class
Had a lovely time!! Cici, our instructor, was extremely lively and friendly which made the whole experience very fun. We each got the opportunity to make 3 dishes of our choosing as well as a spring roll (that all turned out amazing) We also receive a recipe book with the available dishes so that we are able to experiment at home. All in all it was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Half or full day cooking class
Nina was a great your guide. It wolf be nice to go to the market address the tour so you can purchase things to take home. I wish they sell the apron that Nina was wearing as I would love one! #teamnina was a fun group from all over the world. It is hot and humid, so bring a cold neck towel to help! The food is good and there is so much we couldn’t hardly eat our soup we made.

    Great evening class with Natty
Had a great class with our instructor Natty. She taught with a lot of humor and was very friendly. It was nice to be able to choose your own dishes. It rained a lot during our course, and after a while the electricity went out. The staff then made sure we had candles so we could continue. It made the experience even more special honestly!

    Yummy food cooked as family
Had a great time cooking with my daughter (9 years old). Julie was great ensuring that the class could be adapted so she could participate in everything. We loved making the curry from scratch and having the flexibility to make Khao Soi (the specialty dish of Chiang Mai). Great class! Highly recommend. #teamjulie

You choose 3 different categories of dishes: 1 curry, 1 stir fry, and 1 soup from a selection of 4 or 5 options. It's amazing how they can coordinate a group or 8 or 9 making their own dish all at the same time. There were two other groups on top of ourselves but the space is huge and there was no problem to accomodate us.

Our master chef was Lily, she was hilarious and genuinely fun. The unsung heroes are thr driver and people grabbing the used dishes and cleaning them. They kept everything running smooth.

Hats off to a great operation that was extermely affordable and enjoyable.

I've never written a review, so no clue what etiquette is. So I'll ramble through this.
We had a rowdy group of 8 adults who all had an absolute blast. Pooky, our master chef for the evening picked us up right on time at our home and took us straight to a local market where she very thoroughly explained her process in purchasing ingredients for the day. After the market, we took the half hour ride out to the farm. The grounds are beautiful and the garden is enormous (that might be the beer talking). It's a sizeable garden. Pooky toured us through the garden where we learned about their local ingredients. We then began to cook. You're assigned a station and given the option of a few items you'll be cooking. Curry, fried rice, etc. We drank, cooked, drank so on and so forth. All along, Pooky was right by our side, enthusiastically cheering us on and in my case, laughing.

The experience, food, everything was 5 stars. This particular note is for Pooky and ensuring that Smile Organic Farms is aware of what a talented and genuine employee they have. She made the experience what it was for us. Pooky matched our enthusiasm effortlessly and I'm sure there have been far easier groups to handle. Thank you Pooky for a wonderful night!

The half-day cooking course was recommended to my friend and I by a girl in our hostel as we had been planning to do a course here and she said it was great... It was so much better than we could have ever hoped! We were picked up and driven direct from our hostel, stopped off at a market along the way and our AMAZING host/ masterchef Lily showed us round and explained lots of the ingredients and dishes to us. We then drove to the farm, where we looked around for a few minutes and took some pictures before Lily gave us a tour and walked us through lots of the ingredients growing there. I chose to cook pad Thai, khao soy and hot and creamy soup, the group setting for cooking was so fun and Lily was an incredible teacher and so funny and sweet. The food was so tasty, cooked from ingredients source from the farm, and you get a cookbook give to you at the end of the session to take away so you can cook the dishes yourself at home. For 800 baht, I can't believe how fantastic the afternoon was - I cannot recommend Smile Organic Farm Cooking School enough!!!! Definitely don't eat much before you come here though, you will leave very full ☺️

This was hands down the best day I had in Thailand. From start to finish, the whole team at Smile Organic took incredible care of us. It’s lovely that they pick you up from your hotel in the morning and arrange all travel during the experience.

First, we visited a market to see the fresh produce used in Thai cooking. Afterwards, we drove to the farm where we started our day with a tour of the garden, where we got to smell and eat some of the vegetables.

Then, it was time to start cooking! We did a full day which included 6 courses but there is also an option for a half day. You’re able to choose between 4 different options for each course which was so nice for bigger groups.

We were lucky enough to have KK as our instructor and I couldn’t say nicer things about her. She was absolutely hilarious and a joy to learn from. There was certainly never a dull moment and she did such a great job answering all of our questions. I didn’t want to say goodbye to her at the end of the experience because we truly had such a lovely time chatting with her.

The food was incredible! I had to waddle my way back to the hotel because we were absolutely stuffed! They give you the option to package up any of the food you’re not able to eat and take home with you, which is nice!

Lastly, they send you home with a cookbook that has all of the recipes from the day. I cannot wait to go home and try to recreate some of the dishes from our experience and can’t recommend doing this class enough!

It was fun to cook with fresh ingredients with lily. She did it very well, we were around 10 people, i couldn't eat all i've cooked. It is possible to take the rest with you, so you will not have any food waste. The Graden in the back is nice as well. After all it was a great evening with the lovely lily.
I would highly recommend it.
Best regards from the swiss people.

Such a great day! #Natalie was very funny, spoke great English, and all of the dishes that my girlfriend and I made came out great.
Overall, I'd recommend this to any traveler hoping to get a better idea of how the locals make traditional Thai dishes. I highly recommend making the Pad Thai and Khao Soy (northern thai soup).
They also include a free cookbook of all the recipes, and take pictures of you while you work!

We booked the full day course (booked via website). Our chef and trainer Pukky wonderfully introduced us to Thai cuisine. We started the day with a lesson in vegetables and fruits on a Chang Mai market. After that, Pukky brought us to the farm where we learned what grows in the garden and how to use it for our dishes. Everybody could choose what to cook, and special wishes like gluten free products were possible and available. Pukky perfectly managed to guide everybody during the cooking sessions, no matter that we cooked different meals. The ingredients and meals were amazing. We were able to take away what we couldn't eat - it was simply too much to eat everything immediately. Finally, we got all recipes as pdf and printed book.

This was an excellent cooking class. Tay was a clear, concise, funny and helpful teaching instructor. She did a great job telling us not just the instructions, but how and why we should do what we were during the cooking. We did the full day, which I would recommend since it included the farm walk through, and covered more dishes, like salads and desserts.

We spent a while searching through different Thai cooking classes before deciding on Smile due to its reviews and the great price.
We were helped by the wonderful Natalie, who took us to a market, showed us round the farm and then taught us how to cook four dishes, which we got to choose! On the half day course, we cooked a curry, a soup, a stir-fry and a spring roll. The green curry, the tom yum, the pad Thai and the spring roll were all the best I’ve ever had.
If you want to experience real Thai food and learn to cook it properly, Smile is perfect and make sure to ask for Natalie! She is brilliant!

I went to smile cooking school two weeks ago and it was one of the highlights of my entire trip! It was located out of the city amongst some amazing scenery with beautiful rice fields surrounding you. The farm itself had a gorgeous entrance and a garden which grew many interesting and native vegetables and plants. We were able to walk through the gardens with the teachers and learn about the uses of these vegetables and herbs in thai cooking. The cooking took place in a large undercover area which was spotless! They had all your beverages ready to drink which was enjoyable to have while eating your meals. The course I did was in the evening and we were able to choose what meals we wanted to cook. There are a large variety of meals to choose from and it caters to many different diets (vegetarian, vegan, etc) which was great! I loved how easy and fun it was, there was no time wasted on cleaning up your dishes as they took them away instantly and gave you fresh clean utensils to cook your next meal. Our instructor was also hilarious and really enjoyable to learn from. The food itself was absolutely delicious! True Northern Thai style dishes, and you were able to sit down after each dish and take your time to truly enjoy them. I couldn't recommend this place enough! Thank you so much. Love Jas
