The Mai Thai cookery school was a great excursion. I would thoroughly recommend to anybody with an interest in Thai food to give this day out a go. It's superb value for money, interactive and very educational. The two of us opted for the half day class which was perfect. Four meals was plenty let alone eight which is on... More

Our traveling group of 4 friends booked our class for our trip in July about a month in advance. We had several requests for modifications as one is allergic to mushrooms and another is allergic to shellfish. We thought this would have precluded either of us from a few of the dishes as these are two common ingredients in Thai... More

My wife and I did three days (the first three in their schedule). We absolutely loved it. The outdoor kitchen was awesome as were all the people that work there. The pad Thai we made there was the best I've had during my month in Thailand. We had so much food we didn't even eat in the evenings after most... More

We did the one day introduction course and were very pleased with the course. I am vegetarian and my husband doesn't like seafood and this course was very accommodating to our needs. They made a different Thai curry paste for me that didn't use fish sauce, I also had my own boiling station and frying station that was separate from... More

We took the 3 days course. First you can choose which course out of the 5 you want to go to. Second the staff is amazing they are doing anything that they can so the people will learn how to cook and will enjoy the experience. The whole staff speaks very good english and know how to guide the people... More

My 2 friends and I went to this cooking school and it turned out to be just the three of us. We each made the same 5 dishes, including 5 different curries (which anyone who has made will tell you is time consuming!). The instructor was nice but his jokes seemed ok and he seemed rushed to just get us... More

Our group had a great time on our half day session. The chef made it fun and interesting. Vegetarians, non-pork eaters and nut allergy participants were also catered for. Audience participation was particularly encouraged. Can recommend.

I loved loved loved my time with May at the secret cooking school. It was fun to go to the market as well as harvest ingredients from her garden. The day was a mix of fun conversation, learning, and relaxing with tea in one of her many hammocks. Would love to do this again!

We visited with our two daughters (10+12) in early December and had a great time learning to prepare the meals from scratch. Seeing the local market was a delight in itself, since it's not something you'll ordinarily stumble across as a tourist. We loved the food and thought it was really the best food in our whole trip in Thailand.... More

This class is must do at the start of your trip to appreciate the flavours and skill in thai cooking. We were promptly picked up and dropped off at our hotel with no issues whatsoever. Our chef instructor, Thanapoon, was excellent. Extremely funny, skilled and very hands-on in teaching. We felt right at ease and the day flew by with... More
