We still think about this incredible adventure every day. We were treated to a gibbon sighting within our first few minutes there. Our guide, Bom, was very funny and made us feel comfortable. I never ONCE felt unsafe (although I was definitely nervous at times),...More

We’ve only been in Thailand three days so far and already we expect the day we spent here to be a (maybe the) highlight. Beautiful scenery, fresh air, and the freedom of flying through the forest from tree to tree. Our guide Tintin needs a...More

My husband and I and our 11 year old daughter spent the morning zipping through the treetops at Flight of the Gibbon and we loved it. Although occasionally terrifying, it was very safe and our guides had a great sense of humor. We didn’t see...More

My partner and I spent an awesome half day soaring through the canopy and I immediately wanted to go back up. The forest is beautiful and serene, the ziplines are varied and thrilling, and the staff are friendly, fun, and full of an infectious spirit....More

I would throughly recommend any tours offered by Flight Of The Gibbon! We participated in a 2-day tour - day one was zip lining and day 2 was at the Baanchang Elephant Park. The staff were incredibly friendly, always cautious of our safety and made...More

I went on this tour last week and it was such a great choice. Honestly it was my first ziplining experience, but I was impressed with how well put together the whole operation was, from the obvious safety standards to the ease of communication. In...More

Do not expect to SEE gibbons but FEEL like one when you fly through the jungle. This safe way of flying is not cheap (115€), but it is a unique way of exploring the jungle from the tree tops. The staff is very friendly and...More

It was our first time zip lining and we couldn't have picked a better place than Chiang Mai. Our tour guides were great and we really had a blast.

Flight of the Gibbon - Go Ape? (5 Replies)
Hey, wondering if the Flight of the Gibbon zipwires thing is similar to the 'Go Ape' experience here in England? Or is it much higher and wilder?? Anyone that has done both and can make a comparison? There is so much we want to fit in Chiang Mai in 6 days!! My other bother is whether to book Elephant Nature Park now...it all depends on whether we can turn up, book a 3day/2night trek or 2day/1night and go off on the next day!! Then we can book ENP for the last day and not worry... Also,...More

From what I've seen of videos from one of the many Go Ape parks, I'd say Flight of the Gibbons is quite different. You will be in a more natural setting and MUCH higher off the ground. Besides the course itself, you will see no signs of civilization until the end. You may see some wildlife (snakes, birds,...) and may even hear or see gibbons. Besides the unfortunate experience of the previous person replying, I have not heard anything but complete satisfaction with Flight of the Gibbons. ...More

First time in Chiang Mai (4 Replies)
Hi everyone, been reading posts avidly for weeks. My husband and I are travelling to Chiang Mai for the first time in mid February. I'm really looking forward to this as I have only been out of Australia once and that was to Phuket. I have only booked my day with the elephants so far as I want to do that on my birthday. My question is, will I be wise to book in advance for things like Flight of the Gibbon, Araiwah Bike Tours and hiring a driver or will I be reasonably safe in organising when...More

If all you're doing is prebooking then that's fine but if you need to prepay in full or even a deposit, then I'd wait till you were there. 12 days is a decent amount of time to be able to play around with dates/availability, so you might get a better deal once there "on the ground". You can also tailor your tours according to the weather rather than risking booking an outdoor activity now & having it rain on that day.
