Australian Sports Bar but showing Sports from anywhere in the world and all with audio. AFL, NRL, Rugby, EPL, F1, MotoGP, Cricket, Bundesliga, etc etc. Many replays available on request. Ice cold beers, both local and some imported. Western and Thai food. Free pool and free Wifi. Friendly service and family friendly also. And when the sports stop, MUSIC.

The owner, Paul, was very friendly in spite of my not choosing the correct team to root for. Place was full of friendly Aussies.
Bar staff were cute and friendly, service was excellent.
They open in the late afternoon unless there's a big game on, in which case they open earlier.

I was staying at a hotel across the street so decided to give this place a try.
The Good: The owner is there often, which is always a good sign because the staff is attentive and the customers tend to behave themselves. They have a flat price for beers that is very reasonable so you don't have to think about what time it is or what the non-happy hour price will be. Friendly customers, and good people watching onto soi 33 if you are at the front. Good range of sports - rugby, American football on occasion, and cricket if it doesn't make you fall asleep.
The only bad is that it is a deep but narrow bar, so if it is crowded at the tables at the front 1/3 of the bar, you will be stuck at the back, looking like everyone up front is having more fun that you.
I liked the place, went back a few times, and will go back next time I am in Bangkok.

Wonderful, friendly staff and owner! Opened early for special events (Super Bowl in our case). Food and drinks were great. All the other customers were fun too. Would definitely recommend you check it out for a fun Aussie atmosphere and/or a couple of drinks!

My wife and I had a great time at this intimate Aussie sports bar, watching the AFL (Cats v Freo). The host (Paul) made us feel like we'd been coming here for years with his service and hospitality, introducing us to most of the expat locals who frequent the bar. We'll definitely be back next time in Bangkok!

Easy to find, solid reputation, I visited in 1991, the experience is truly unforgettable and unique. I'm a therapist working out of San Francisco and sometimes a client that I will send for their special brand of rest and relaxation. They return as new men. It is easy to get off on the entertainment. Finish off your evening and they will send you home, that is the kind of full service establishment that I enjoy.

Darrylrobinda - thanks for the review but I get the feeling that it is a different establishment than ours that you were referring to in your review. We are "Kangaroo Sports Bar" in Sukhumvit Soi 33, a bar offering sports, drinks and some food. You reference back to 1991, however we have only been "Kangaroo Sports Bar" by name since April 2015. (The establishment was here for many years before that but under different names and different styles of bar). Regards Paul.

Great bar. Staff and owner are very helpful and looking after their guest to feel comfortable. You can watch any kind of sports, only ask Paul and he will make it happen. The value for money is compared to many other places around the best I know.

Great place to have a beer or two or more. Friendly accommodating staff, "Paul the owner" and his lovely wife Khun Ann run a family type sports bar and are blessed with a special touch to make everyone feel very welcome, easy to make friends and get the latest info on Bangkok's nightlife additions.
Good variety of food and beverages. Saturday night free BBQ.
A must to visit the Kangaroo bar during AFL games and witness the crowd especially when Geelong is playing and emotions run high.
6 screens in the bar cover almost any sports event, and even LFL and Bundesliga are becoming popular among the regulars and other sport enthusiasts.

Came here on the last night of my tour of Thailand and absolutely loved it. Paul, the owner, was very welcoming - made an effort to come straight over and introduce himself and check I was ok and had everything I needed. The staff were lovely and very funny. Just an easy chilled out bar and met some lovely other people too. Also got some great recommendations for late night food as I was hungry! Definitely worth a visit you will find yourself at ease here soaking up the atmosphere!

This bar was a blast! Went to watch the SuperBowl at 6am, and everyone was having a great time. The beers were cold, the snacks were great, and the owner was hilarious. Highly recommend stopping by here, especially for any live sporting event.

Excellent bar friendly welcome by owner Paul and all his staff. Cold towels on arrival nice touch beer reasonable price a very pleasant place to while away a few hours in jovial company
