My Home Church Away from Home
Jul 2017 • Solo
I first came to this Church on Sunday, February 16, 2014 when Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral was consecrated by the Russian Orthodox Bishop and other notable Priests and Hieromonks from Russia....This Church is the flagship of Orthodoxy in Southeast Asia. Recently in 2017 a team of Russian Artists completed fresco / icons on all the interior walls and ceilings in the most magnificant way. The icons tell the story of the life, death and ressurrection of Jesus the Cristos....Also, herein contains the 1st class relics of Saint Nicholas (who is refered to as Santa Claus), Saint Mary Magdelene, Saint George (who slew the dragon), Saint Clement (the Roman Pontiff who was martyred in Rome during the Christian persecution, and there are holy relics of 2 Russian Saints whose name I cannot remember....Then a little over a year later I would become an Orthodox, and the woman I am now married to was baptized and Christmated here. We were both married in this church on Friday, May 13, 2016....I invite you to come....Come and See the True and ancient faith preserved through the ages from the beginning.

A joy to find this peaceful spiritual oasis in Bangkok

Unfortunately, we were not able to attend Divine Liturgy, but were able to come in for a time of devotion and prayer. It is truly a beautiful church in the middle of Bangkok.

Orthodox Church in Bangkok
Mar 2016 • Solo
To be very far from home only here I feel being home, in the God's house. Here we all are the same, no matter who you are, Thai, American, Ukranian, Moldovan, Russian we all are God's children, learning how to serve Him in doing His will. I'm very happy to come every Sunday. Thanks be to God for everything.

A luxury to have an Orthodox Church in Thailand.

As we ended up at this part of the Globe, it is very pleasant for us to find a place to pray. I would like to visit this place more often however I have to travel 180 km each time to go.
