Get off at Thailand Cultural Centre Station, exit 1, and once you are up by the road side, walk to the right side of the station (against the traffic flow), until you reach big intersection - then go right, no need to go across the street. Just follow the curve and you will see the signboard "Cultural Centre".
Or for you who prefers less walking, can take motorbike-taxi outside the station, cost THB 30/trip.

Thailand has really beautiful concert halls and this is one fine example. If you have a chance to watch a show at this venue, you will be impressed.
I was there for a charity concert by Classy Records on 19 Aug. The sound inside the hall was perfect. Crystal clear. The artists were of good talent and the audience was supportive throughout the show.
More importantly, the venue is well accessible by public transport with the MRT station only a few hundred meters away. Short walk from The Street at Ratchada.

The photo and place you show, are for Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, not for Thailand Culture Centre. Thailand Cultural Centre is in Ratchadaphisek road.

Thailand Cultural Centre - which gave its name to the MRT station nearby - has been running since 1987.
We went to the annual Khon performance.
I guess it holds more than 1000 people.
Only disadvantage - as in many places - the air condition is set to give you an arctic chill.
Because of this avoid the last ten rows on the first floor.

We saw Swan Lake and Bangkok Symphony Orchestra here and both shows were really very good. The theatre is nice, clean and fairly near to the MRT station. The food options seem to be limited to one small S and P bakery so eat before you arrive. The staff are helpful and friendly. Lots of stairs and a bizarre route across a busy road through a deserted park to get to and from the MRT station so I am not sure this is an accessible place for the elderly or disabled.

This is the place to see upscale shows and concerts including classical music, Thai classical shows such as Khon, Thai dance etc.). Travel is a breeze since it's close to MRT station. My recommendation is to come by MRT which is the most convenient way.

This impressive and well appointed hall, is home to many concerts and other events. Seating capacity is good and acoustics are fine.
On this occasion, it was a concert by youngsters taken from Broadway musicals, and was well presented and enjoyed by all present. Highly recommended venue, sponsored by the Dept. of Cultural Promotion.
