Neighborhood: Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.

I found a great Art gallery on my visit to Bangkok. This gallery searches for thai artists all around thailand and gives them a free place to work which I liked because they are really helping people with talent that might not otherwise get a chance. I bought a beautiful oil painting from one of their resident artist named Sarawut Thaichuai this artist really has talent. The packed the canvas for me and DHL to USA. Was a great experience!

A bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with Sathorn Soi 11.
About a 20 minute walk from BTS Surasak, I think exit 3 walk to St. Louis Hospital/Church to soi 11, turn right and walk all the way down until you see the Shorthorn 11 sign on the right - quite a long walk, be patient.
Anyway, I love this place and the people that occupy it. Artsy not pretentious. Fun not wild. Provocative not cliche. Excellent taste in art and music, sometimes live, and all well curated, I am assuming by Mike, the owner. Well prepared and plated food and a couple of bar tenders who take pride in their drinks.
Great for a solo night, date night, friend's night and or the family too.
Worth the find.
Check it out.

This place is an absolute must visit in Bangkok because this place sells quality art paintings of great standard at an incredibly affordable price. You will end up buying a lot if you're here. And there are so many awesome places around here to eat. They seem to have almost every painting under the sun, so make sure you actually settle for whatever you want!

Dazzling artworks complimented by a spacious and well-appointed hidden full bar in the back. A special place in an unlikely part of town.

What a great night. We thought we arrived at a unique New York loft kind of art gallery but were surprised to find an amazing bar at the back. Great cocktails and good wine. The owner Mike was super entertaining and showed us around the gallery himself. Great night!

The art space is a very small but you feel very welcome there. Franco Aguggiaro was having a show put on by the Italian Embassy and their was some breauitful paintings by Mr. Aguggiaro. The Sathorn 11 Art show does a lot to help the local Thai Artie's and its on the way to being a must stop and see the local art work. They also make pizza right now take out only but soon to sell inside the art space. First time ever to a real art exhibit
