After I discovered this night market in 2017 and was just stunned by its variety of stores and its laid back vibes, I wanted to come back in late 2018 just to find it completely shut down. Only a few bars have survived, but they are also empty. I don't know really what happened, but I talked to some locals and bar owners and they just told me that the shops have gone and it will be only bars from now on. So typical Thai: no one wanted to talk about the actual reasons of the shut-down, but nevertheless, Siam Gypsy Junction is no longer what it was.

Nor worth visiting anymore, unfortunately!

Amazing place but all stalls were closed!

I was there on a Sunday night around 10:30pm and everything was closed! Only a few bars were opened. The opening hours seems inaccurate. Anyone knows when do the store open and close? It doesn’t seem to open till 1am. However, the few bars that were opened were filled with locals and the vibe was great. The street looks amazing with vintage caravan and store front set up. It was a pity we didn’t get to do any shopping. I would go and visit again if I know what time they actually open tills. The location is not great. It is quite far from the city center.

Not worth the trip there.

If you want to get there by public transportation just get to Bang Sue station on the blue metro line, you can't take the sky train to chactochac and combine there if you like. From bang sue there are free buses to tao poon station every few minutes (just 3 minutes away) and once in tao poon (purple line) station take the MRT to Bang Som (only one station) and voila, you are at the gypsy market. The place itself looks nice, there was absolutely no one else there apart of the vendors when we were there (wednesday around 8 pm) you can find some antique shops (nothing really interesting but hey.. it depends) and some nice bars, it wasn't worth the ride for us but you don't know if you don't try.

Just for local people

This place is less than 10 minutes walk from my home.It opens at night only. Nothing much if you are not interested in joining your friends and having some drinks. A few clothing and food stalls offering this and that somewhat like a garage sell or weekend market but much much smaller scale. If u live nearby it's OK to look around. If you are tourist any/or have limit time don't bother to come here.

Cool vibe with a young audience. Rock Music was heard at every corner. Great bars and choice of beers but not for wine or champagne lovers. Cool shops and slightly more tacky standard stalls selling copy shoes, cheap dresses and jeans. 2 antique shops. Mostly just trendy bar hangouts like the infamous 'Sorry, I'm Gay". Cool for groups of young friends but not for grandparents

With so many night markets now, you have options which way to to on the weekend.
Now, its a brand new market, with unique ambience & decoration between Cowboy Theme vs Old Thai where you can see a TeePee and a camper and a half tuktuk and a saloon a mixed up of everything.
Many bars / restaurant / vintage shops
and you can buy secondhand tshirt, toys, knicks knacks, home decoration, etc
Awesome motors, old cars, bikes there also.
Clean toilets too
But, its quite far, From MRT Bang Sue you can take motorcycle taxi for 40 b

Must see!

Semi-hidden location, my local friend live nearby and we could arrive by foot, if you arrive with taxi just ask for "Siam Gipsy Market".

I would rate the atmosphere 10/10.
So many retro products you can buy for sooo cheap!
A lot of cool pubs and bars playing live music (even classic rock hits).

I will definitely come again, and recommend everyone who wants to see the city in a different angle, top come by.
