I went to Krung Thong Plaza mainly for the Fat Girls shop, which I'd heard lots of good things about. I'm about an Australian size 22-24, so a long way outside standard sizing, and particularly hard to find in Thailand. The staff were really helpful in finding the correct sizes and suggesting things. I bought a ruffled skirt, a blazer and a brightly printed shirt; all were stylish and a little bit different from what you'd expect. After I'd finished my shopping, almost as an afterthought, I suggested my partner look at the men's shirts - and he ended up buying 4! (Including one with elephants on it, which is adorable!) The men's shirts are well designed for larger men, making sure to be big enough and long enough in the right places, so they're comfortable as well as stylish. I really wish they had an online shop, since we'll likely not be back in Thailand anytime soon!

If you are a Plus Size woman and visiting Thailand you must visit "Fat Girls" this shop is located at the Krung Thong Plaza 1 Pratunam the fashion district in Bangkok. Most westerners find it difficult to buy clothing in Thailand but not so at Fat Girls, size XL all the way up to 8 XL ... and guess what if you need bigger size they will make it in one day .. Ladies this is a truly a shop catering to plus size women... Fat Girls 2 Fl Krung Thong Building....

Krung Thong Plaza is my favourite shopping mall in Bangkok . I go there at least twice a year to stock up on plus size clothes . I bought six friends there to shop and they are satisfied customers .
The designs are fashionable . After shopping there a few times , I learn how to get clothes for my size . Nowadays , almost all the clothes I bought fit me very well .
A skirt, a skort , a shorts or a blouse costs 200-250 baht (SG$8-$10). A dress costs about 300-350 baht (SG$12-$14). They are of good quality . My favourite shop is Secret Garden and I particularly like the shops at level 3.
There is hope for plus size ladies . You don't have to wear frumpy clothes after shopping at Krung Thong Plaza . Check out my photos for some of the pieces I bought on my recent trip a week ago .

After walking through the the Platinum Mall with my friends from UK we could not find any clothes to fit us, everything was made in China that was very small mostly for Asians. But Upon exiting the Platinum Mall there is a cross-over that takes you directly to a plaza called Krung Thong Plaza.
There we found a hidden gem for plus size men and women .. One shop in particular in this plaza that caters to plus size westerners "Fat Girls By OM" located on the second floor not far from the escalator towards the back unit 2031-2042-2043 , it is by far the largest shop in the plaza. Everything my girlfriends and I tried on fit perfectly, the staff was very nice but the owner Ms. Orrapun amazing person and very beautiful a true definition of a Thai. Our group bought over 200 pieces of garment that is just the girls, my husband Jim bought some lovely shirts made from linen that look and fit better than Tommy and Jim Thompson . Everyone from our group was so excited we ended up going back again the next morning for more.
Now a few things I found out about Fat Girls by OM
1-,Ms. Orrapun design everything she sells and also produce in her own factory.
2-The quality is by far the best in Thailand

Fat Girls by OM on the second floor Krung Thong Plaza is the very best for plus size clothing .. quality the best ... staff very friendly and can speak english. The owner Ms. Orrapun has over 25 years of experience for design of plus size clothing. My wife and i enjoy shopping at Fat Girls because everything they sell is original designs and made in Thailand not in China .. Fat Girls have size starting from XL to 7 XL and can even custom make if you have time during your stay... Fat Girls simply the best...

Went there in search of larger size clothes as I am a big UK14 small UK16. The plaza only have 5 levels if I remember correctly and it is definitely alot less crowded than Platinum Mall.
However, clothes are sold mostly in wholesale e.g more than 3 pieces. Else, they are sold relatively on the high end.
I only managed to buy 1 set of clothing as most of the nice clothes were too big for me.. IMO mainly for UK20 and above.

Today I was in Pratunaum the fashion district of Thailand what an amazing place if you are skinny and short ... But I found an amazing Plaza that only specialize in plus size clothing for women and men .. Krung Thong Plaza across the street from Platinum Mall there is a connection bridge or crossover that takes you directly to the Krung Thong Plaza. I visited every shop in the plaza from Vee Fat, Lok Praw to Fit Fat all garbage except for Fat Girls and Fat Boys by OM .. Their designs are what you will find most westerners wearing ..Amazing selection of cotton shirts ,pants, skirts you got the idea full selection ..it is the largest shop in Krung Thong Plaza and the best decorated and well lit. Every employee speak English and very polite they even allow us to try on and told us if we were not happy with the fit to return for exchange ... KRUNG THONG PLAZA THANK YOU FOR FAT GIRLS SHOP AND FAT BOYS . I highly recommend this shop for all tourist .. Ms. Orrapun the owner a very amazing person "what a beautiful person"

Even though I shopped at Krung Thong Plaza 2-3 times a year, there is always new designs and stocks. My favourite level used to be the 3rd Level. It still is but I have expanded my liking to Level 2 and 4 which is the food court level.
The prices have increased slightly but they are still cheap by Singapore standard.
Dress : 450 baht
Top : 250-270 baht
Skort/Skirt : 200 - 250 baht
They are mostly wholesale prices which means that I have to bought 2 or 3 pieces to qualify for these prices.
As a wholesale shopping, trying, refund or exchange are usually not allowed. However, I managed to get an exchange most of the time, minimising the waste of money. I tried out my newly - purchased clothes at the toilet. There is no proper fitting room but the toilet cubicles are clean.
After shopping at Krung Thong Plaza 2-3 times a year, the staff/bosses of some boutiques can recognise me. They always give me a warm service.
If you are hungry, you can dine at Krung Thong Food Court. The food here is inexpensive and good.
I will post photos of my purchases at Krung Thong Plaza on another post on TA.

4 Level air con building with a small food court at level 4.
Every floor there are at least 5 shops that sell big size clothes.
Some shops sell up to size 48.
To get wholesale price you need to buy at least 2 to 3 pcs (up to shop owner).
You need ask them how many pcs for wholesale price and can mix with diff design or not.

Jistine ..`holidays are taken quite serious in Thailand ... but FAT GIRLS and FAT BOYS are normally open ... they are a direct factory in Thailand ...

I usually shop on the third floor even though the whole building sells plus size clothes .
3rd Floor
My favourite shops are Secret Garden , Pantone , Fatfulfill , By Cat and Koy Yada . There a few more shops which I forgot the names . However , these four shops on the third floor are the ones I would buy from on all my visits .
Koy Yada sells more shirt-like blouses which look smart.
Pantone sells more t-shirt type of materials of clothings like dress , tunic and they are super comfortable .
By Cat and Secret Garden sell more structured clothes , less t-shirt materials. I would say that Secret Garden is my best favourite .
4th Floor (Food Court Level)
There are a few shops located beside the food court which sell really nice skort .
The shop at the food court facing the escalator sells nice skirts and stretchable jeans .
Next to it is a shop selling denim skirts, shorts and skorts.
I also like one shop at the middle part. It seeks comfortable skorts . It looks like skirt on the outside but there is a shorts underneath . It costs only $7.50-$8 SGD per piece. They are light and comfortable , easy to wash and wear. The skorts here are highly recommended .
If you are hungry , try the local food at the food court . The Pad Thai is as nice as , if not nicer than those sold at Nara Thai Restaurant and Thip Samai (Opinion is subjective) .
With Krung Thong Plaza, plus size shoppers do not have to wear frumpy clothes.
