Each spa has its own unique approach to dispensing wellness and therapeutic treatments to its guests. At Quan Spa at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, the theme is ‘water’, the main element all life requires. For millennia, water has been used to cleanse both physically and spiritually, thus bringing about a transformation and a return to tranquility and balance.

Quan Spa offers a wide choice of bath therapies including milk baths, revitalizing baths, relaxing baths, steam baths and marine baths. Locally sourced ingredients include honey, fresh milk, essential oils from eucalyptus, rosemary and mint as well as lavender and petitgrain, to name but a few examples. Take the opportunity to indulge in one of life’s luxuries whilst in the midst of such extraordinarily skilled therapists.

As a couple, we decided to experience different therapies; my partner went for the Deep Renewal Massage, while I opted for an Aroma Fusion Massage; each is available for 60 or 90 minutes. The Deep Renewal massage is personalized to each guest’s specific needs and as my wife had been working long hours for the past few weeks, her shoulder, neck and back muscles had become as hard as rock. Her treatment loosened these vital muscle groups, effectively increasing blood circulation and energy flow.

Meanwhile, the Aroma Fusion Massage seamlessly blends the healing properties of aromatherapy and Swedish massage combined with curative powers of essential oils to induce total relaxation. I find it imperative to give a masseur constant feedback to ensure my pain points are being addressed properly. Less than 30 minutes into the treatment, I could sense a reduction in my stress levels and afterwards my energy levels were almost overflowing.

Whether you are in search of a relaxing massage, a refreshing body scrub, a healing body wrap, a fantastic facial or the ultimate five and a half hours Couple Romance experience, the skilled and highly knowledgeable Quan Spa therapists are there to help guide you on your journey to relaxation and rejuvenation.

Skip the Thai massage
Feb 2020 • Couples
We made a reservation for 2 Thai massages, but were told when we arrived that certain treatments were 50% off for “early bird” since we were there early in the day so we decided to add on deep cleansing facials as well.

While we waited we were given cold cloths and Jasmine water which was refreshing and calming. We were brought to our treatment room and provided with the clothes to wear for our Thai massage (lose fitting, almost like doctor scrubs and very comfortable). While the massage was nice and felt good to be pampered, I would be hard pressed to call it a Thai massage. I have had ones before where I was WORKED by the masseur. I was stretched and pulled and bent in ways that I know to be considered the traditional Thai massage. This was a lot of rubbing, some stretching and my boyfriend actually fell asleep. That should not happen in a Thai massage.

Our facials started immediately after our Thai massage, so there was no need for a transition to a different treatment room which was nice. The facial was relaxing and my skin felt refreshed afterwards.

Our massage therapists and the receptionist were lovely and I would certainly return for a different kind of massage, but I would skip the Thai massage and go somewhere that specializes in traditional Thai massage.

Couples Massage
Nov 2018 • Couples
Neither of us had ever had a massage before so we were excited to see a discount upon arrival for the hotel spa! We went down the next day to chat with them and book for that day, and the woman at the check in gave us a review of the prices and discounts etc. We were ready to book for that afternoon but she let us know that we could save money by going between a certain window the next day which I thought was very considerate!

When we returned the next day for the massage we were greeted with tea and a quick survey of what pressure level we wanted and allergy/injury list. Then we were taken to the room to get ready which was beautiful and calming. We had asked for a couples shared room and full body scrub and massage which was amazing and relaxing. After we were taken back down to sign the bill to the room and had another nice cup of tea.

Would definitely return, and would definitely recommend!

The best spa experience I've had in Bangkok so far!
Sep 2017 • Solo
A good friend of mine took me to the Quan Spa at Rennaisance Hotel on a recent holiday to Bangkok. This is a new spa in a relatively new hotel.

The spa was simply luxurious. The atmosphere was blissfully serene, the products used and facilities were of a very high quality and the service was excellent. My therapist was very well trained, pleasant and communicated very well throughout the massage, adjusting according to my requirements.

I was extremely impressed and completely relaxed at the end of my session. Had the best night's sleep in ages after the massage! 😊

One tip - Book yourself a session in the evening if time permits. The private massage rooms offer a stunning view of the Bangkok cityscape at dusk.

Going out for a good massage is a ritual I always indulge in with my friend whenever I visit her in Bangkok. I look forward very much to returning to Quan Spa for another session of complete relaxation.

My best spa in Bangkok
Jul 2017 • Business
This is one of my top 5 hotels,Marriot Marquis hotel Sukhumvit, which is located in sukhumvit 22, when i take a first glance at Quan Spa, i have a good vibe from the atmosphere inside, i feel very cozy and warm and i figure it out that they use premium products namely Divana, which made from organic ingedients with good scent,by the way, i am advised by the therapist about the promotions of this month with special deals , i purchase Swedish massage 60 mins but for this promotion of the month they give me another 30 mins for the extended time, this promotion is worthbuying and its price is quite reasonable so i am not indecisive to use this service at Quan Spa after having my body massaged , i feel very relaxed and energetic ,i would suggest you guys to come and visit at Quan spa marriot hotel sukhumvit 22 , you will not regret.😊

Great Massage with Excellent Service and Wonderful Ambience
May 2017 • Friends
Went for foot therapy (Quan Spa having a promo for foot therapy. 1200++bahts for 90 mins of scrub + foot massage. Hotel guest get 20% discount for non promo massages).

My therapist's skill is good and right on point with every knot in my exhausted feet. Pressure is good too.

Will visit again during my next stay with the hotel.

The best I ever had!
Apr 2017 • Friends
I have been to many spa's and the massage done by Ya is the best I have ever had!
Very professional, clean, top of the Renaissance Hotel with great views. The overall experience was so fantastic I had 3 massages in 5 days. All were done by Ya, who I would give a 6 star rating if possible.
I was staying at the Renaissance Hotel and they offer 50 percent off select massages so I tried it. Overall you can't beat it in my opinion.
This is one of the best massages I have ever had!! If you go book Ya, she really does a incredible job! Highly recommend her treatment of aromatherapy massage.

Absolutely amazing
Apr 2016 • Solo
Went to Quan Spa while staying at the hotel. I have visited a lot of spas and I have to say that this one would easily get into the top 2 as this would have to be one of the best treatments I have ever had.

I opted for a special called Caressed by Coconut. It included a herbal steam, coconut exfoliation and one hours massage.

I was shown to a large room with bathroom, shower/steam room and treatment room. My therapist was just so good I cant believe it, thinking of even the smallest of details and she was so knowledgeable and the massage was just heavenly.

I would definitely go back here. I can not praise them enough for the two hours of bliss I received.
