I came to this church as they were advertising free Covid vaccines for the community (I have lived in Bangkok for 6 years and pay taxes). Once I arrived and got in line, I was yelled at by the staff and told to "Get Out" and they held a sign that said no foreigners allowed for the covid vaccine. I was shocked at this and felt humiliated and discriminated against. For being a church, they acted very differently from the teachings of Jesus.

My aunt introduced my family to this church along Soi Ruam Ruedi when she was living in Bangkok many years ago. Since then, I've attended mass here several times on and off whenever I've been in the city. And it looks like the congregation's been thriving healthily every time. There are masses in Thai, naturally, but it's the five masses in English on weekends (Saturday and Sunday evenings, as well 8.30 am, 9.45 am, and 11.00 am on Sundays) that makes it the place for English-speakers (many local residents but also may foreigners/visitors). The roof of the church, as well as some of the interior decor (e.g., the altar) are very much inspired by traditional Thai design, and indeed the entire church resembles a Buddhist temple. But I found the biggest attraction to be the wooden carvings (facing one another on opposite high walls) that depict the Stations of the Cross.

Not a big church but have big compound for parking. Not a typical "ancient" style. Completed in 1954, have Thai roof, and most interesting is the alter - Thai style. Masses in English were available.

A unique church run by the redemptorists. Many english masses available. First english mass is on Saturday 5.30pm . Nearest BTS station is ploent chit station. Better to take a taxi at ploent chit station to the church which is a 5 minutes drive away.

If you are staying in Sukhumvit, Bangkok, you must take a ride by scooter taxis costing Thai Baht 10 from Novotel Hotel to the Holy Redeemer Church about 1.4Km away. Lovely Siam styled Church. Siam style roof, doors and a main Altar with a gold Redeemer statue. There is lots of space outside the church and adequate shade and dispensers from the Bangkok hot weather. I also saw some odd signboards near the gate to the church (photos attached). I loved the church for its tranquility.

Attended Saturday evening English mass at 5.30pm. Lots of expats and locals attending. Lovely mass with friendly local Thai Redemptorist priest. Not wanting to take the BTS to Phloen chit and then endure a 20 minute walk to the Church, we opted to take a Grab taxi from the hotel and back to the hotel later. Looks exactly like a Thai temple on the exterior while the Impressive interior had nice long wooden benches for the congregation.

Is it the only inculturation catholic church in Bangkok with so many English daily mass available?
Well, I will recommend you guys to visit this church. There is a bookstore too behind the church. You can buy some souvenir. There are a lot of emblems of Saints. I upload the mass schedule too.. You can check it. There is confession after mass. The pastor played guitar when I had mass there. Really interesting!

It is a catholic church with a Thai influence. The good thing is the mass is offered in English and plenty of mass time to choose. There is a parking lot which is convenience for those who has car or taxi drop off and pick up.
Not too much of a sight seeing site, but is a place where catholic can attend their Sunday mass even if away from home.

Very different vibe but interesting cathedral.
The first impression of this church was that it was much bigger than what I expected.
And the little castles set next to Jesus looked very exotic but interesting at the same time.
I hope there will be air conditioner working in the church during the mass on summer season since it was not working on the days that I visited which was winter season.
Besides that, if you are catholic, and if you would like to visit church, then you might not want to miss visitng this cathedral.

My wife and I attended the 11:00 am Sunday Mass (in English). There are also English mass at 8:30 and 9:45 am. I think the Saturday Sunset Mass in English is at 5:00 pm. Redemptorist priest run the church.
We opted to take a metered taxi from Baiyoke Sky Hotel for Baht 60. But a cheaper option is to take the BTS to Phloen station and a 15-20 minute walk along Ruamrudee Lane.
There was a food and Christmas decors sale when we visited. Daugthers of St. Paul were selling their usual catholic books and memorabilia. A bookstore is also within the premise (my wife bought a book "Life of Saints" for Baht 200). There was also a stall that sells Filipino snacks and groceries. I notice a lot of Tagalog speaking mass goers making me conclude there is a large Filipino community in the area that patronize the church.
The mass was both solemn and lively(especially during singing). The organist and lead singer was very enthusiastic.
Taxi are also easily available outside the side.
Good to see for myself how tolerant and religion-diverse Thailand is.
