Wow, how can I describe this tiny amazing place? Chao Phor Seua (also spelled Chao Poh Seua or Chao Poh Sua)) is a Chinese Taoist temple, left over from the time before Bangkok was officially the capital and Old Town was a mostly Chinese neighborhood. Now it's not just loved by the still-large Chinese popluation in Bangkok but it's also one of the most revered and visited shirnes for Thai Buddhists. Known as The Tiger God Shrine, many couples visit to pray for healthy children and It's jammed with people leaving offerings and lighting incense, and while we were there-for some unexplainable reason-there was a performance of classic Chinese drama going on in the entry area, a whole troup of actors in full elaborate costume and makeup putting on a play with musical accompaniment. We were like-wow! What a place! It's very small and can be hard to find, but once you see the bright red Chinese lanterns and the dragon on the roof you'll know it. Really an off the beaten path and wonderful little gem of a site in Old Town Bangkok. We were the only tourists. We loved it.

The nice and beautiful place of Gods then nearby get enjoy the unique Chinese noodle soups never taste and impress them with the last point is Thai ancient woods restaurant make my day lovely and happy.😄

This is a real place of worship and not a touristic attraction, and you will rarely see foreigners there. It is a very popular merit making place among the old Chinese community. Very colourful and everything very traditional Chinese style including paper burning, giant candles, bells and incent sticks

The shrine locate in inner city near to Giant Swing, Bhramin temple and Wat Rajabophitr. Even it does not much different from others Chinese Shrine in the city, but their are many local people act as decipherer to this shrine. It is one of the most well known and visit Chinese Deity. The powerful of Tiger God, is believe to provide a protection for all evil.
Unfortunately, the shrine does not allow you to take a photo inside. So, as I said, just stop by and feel the local.
Tips: There are a lot of shop outside. Do not buy any from them, if you are only traveler. Some shop may offer an fraud tips for praying to you.

Longing to pray at Tiger Shrine on my December stay but only finally offer my prayer this March 16.
We took a taxi to Thanon Tanao where the shrine is situated & is packed with devotee
Inside and the hall is fill with joss sticks smoke . There is a diagram instructions to direct devotee where to start .We were lucky to meet a shrine caretaker to advise and direct us on how to make offering here.We need to purchase offering items for prayers from shrine.

This Tiger God shrine is a Taoist temple located on Thanon Tanao. The shrine is normally filled with thick incense smoke as it is normally filled with worshipers praying using incense and sticking them into urns as they make wishes. Devotees are normally Chinese or local Thai with Chinese ancestry. If you are doing a walking tour of Chinatown, ensure that this shrine is included in your tour. Take some time here to pray and make a wish here too. For all you know it might come true. Worth a visit.

This is a Chinese Tao temple. Very different from others here. The architecture is beautiful. Lots of locals praying.

One of the main places of worship for Thai-Chinese Buddhists. This shrine is considered by many to be top 10 of worship in the city, surrounding with many local restaurant where very amazing ! And some restaurant also got the Bib gourmet from Michelin guide including Best PAD Thai in town as Thipsamai Pad Thai / Chicken Rice and Rad Nar (Noodle) soooo yummy ! Do not forget to try the best coffee in Bangkok old town at PA PRANK also.

Very lively Taoist shrine full with worshipers offering flowers, oranges, bananas, eggs, burning incense and adding oil to enable candle light. In the entry area Chinese opera is performed on a regular basis. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Here no signs: remove your shoes, make donation or entrance fees. Everybody is welcome,
The colorful shrine is beautifully adorned with dragon images and carvings in gold color. Nearby are many stalls where offerings can be bought. Many Chinese Thai people visit. The shrine is closed in the evenings and at night.

The Tiger God Shrine is located at Tanao Road near the Giant Swing. This is a Teochew Chinese Taoist temple and houses statues of Chinese Supreme Being, including the Tiger God, Guan Yu and Matsu, the Goddess of the Sea. Built in 1824 in accordance with Southern Chinese architecture for shrines, the temple is famous for its Tiger God who is believed to be extremely powerful for bestowing worshipers with good fortune as well as protection from evil forces. This temple is a very popular place of worship among the local Thai and Chinese Buddhist community.
