How is this event not in the top 10 for things to do in BKK????

It's free, it's traditional Muay Thai (you know, that WORLD FAMOUS martial art that comes from THAILAND).

There are only so many temples and soapys (soapies? soapy's?) to be had before you start to see grey (gray?).

Seriously check it out, if you get off National Stadium BTS you literally fall on top of these fights. Also the two blokes that do the commentary are super handsome, give the light skinned (handsomer) one your phone number.

Tripadvisor if you delete my review again for being interesting I will punch your face!!

Let's recap: Muay Thai, great fights, FREE, easy location to find.

Go and enjoy.

Was really excited about this. Rushed down to mbk after my day tour to catch it. But to my disappointment there is no more fight night. The information staff told me that it is put on hold until October. Just FYI to people who are keen to catch this.

Looks like the schedule has changed to every last Wednesday of the month (at least that's what they told us at the information booth at MBK yesterday, anyway it was a regular Wednesday and there was no fight). Sorry to have missed it, looks like a great event and it's free!

Went all the way there only to find out that reservations are taking place and the fight night is closed until further notice. I did check the MBK Facebook page beforehand but nothing is mentioned there.

Shopping and sightseeing in Bangkok and we heard about the MBK Fight Night held every Wednesday at the MBK shopping centre. We had been at the Jim Thompson House nearby, so decided to do some shopping and hang around for the fight night. It was great, a real taste of Muay Thai boxing - there were about eight fights, covering a range of weights and involving both Thai and international fighters. It is held open air at the front of the shopping centre in a purpose built ring with announcers, ring girls, lights and live commentary - all to the ear splitting backdrop of the live band playing their drums and pipes.

The fighting was brilliant, brutal and bloody and the refereeing seemed very fair. A great introduction to Muay Thai and a must see for anyone visiting Bangkok - it's easy to find as well - just get off the sky train at the National Stadium.

Me and the wife, had a great day shopping and decided to go to the MBK fight night at 6 P.M. we arrived a little bit early and got great seats.
We had never seen Thai boxing before and got to see fighters from all over the world. It was thoroughly enjoyable.
I hope everyone who comes to Bangkok takes the chance to see this part of Thai culture and best of all it's FREE!

We showed up late and still caught two fights. Like the reviews below say, they werent messing around. It was some good free fun for me and my boys. I will say this... me and my oldest boy have been to ufc live and love it, but the fights we saw here were up close and brutal.

I messaged them because I am planning a trip soon. They promptly replied that there will be no planned fights until further notice. What a bummer.

I suggest not visiting MBK unless you already plan to go there. Visit their Facebook for updates.
