I visited Soul Bar tucked away in a corner of Bangkok near Chinatown recently. A friend was playing there. The place is small but a good vibe and the band was good as ever! It is a little pricey. 320 Baht for a gin and...More
We were trying out Soul Bar as a place to bring small groups of travelers-looking for the "off the beaten path" spots in Bangkok
Started off fine - small and cozy venue, passable live music, up and coming neighbourhood but it ended on a sour...More
We arrive in this place at 8.00pm, hard to find, it was so quiet. The gig did start at 9.45 which is pretty late to wait with really expensive cocktails and food. Out of price for this bar with no soul just hard chairs and...More
I went to this bar based on the reviews which I think are exaggerated because it was not consistent with my visit. Small bar with small wooden stools for seats and small wooden tables, too uncomfortable to stand or sit. Beer is double the price...More
Saw 'motherfunky' live at the soul bar this week and they were fantastic. A funky, jazzy trio of what could have easily been top session players, fronted by a cool, soulful Californian singer.
Hats off to the SoulBar for getting musicians in of this calibre...More
It was ok to hang out and listen good music but it is too small space to be there with a big group friends. it can receive only 30 people inside there or less than that. Beer is normally price, not too expensive. it doesn't...More
Nice music and atmosphere. Cocktails are expensive for Bangkok like 220 to 240 baht. Beer around 120 Baht. But music was indeed very good. Please ask people around for the right location. The one showed by tripadvisor is wrong!!
It's a bit off the track, but once you found it it's worth to stay.
Very small bar, soul and funk music starts at 9. Good Belgian beer, friendly service. But be sure to have dinner before, no decent eating places around.
We like this small but very atmospheric place as it's a bit off the normal Bangkok nightlife scene. Especially during Friday and Saturday the tiny bar can get crowded as they have great live Jazz and Soul music. So come a bit earlier and have...More
