I am staying in Thongta Resort in Lad Krabang area, close to Suvarnabhumi Airport and discovered a cosy beautiful bar and restaurant near-by. The owners are Thai & German and have had spent some years in various countries. This family business consider service and comfort first. If you want to have a special request, just say so. If you want to sit and have conversation about travels and Thai food with them, you can. The menu offered were simple, but simply the best; you can get Cheese Burger, Spaghetti Carbonara, Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup. All the popular dishes!!! Their cocktails were just superb and so cheap, only $3!!!! Beers cost $2.5 for a long neck. There indoor (air-conditioned) and outdoor area to enjoy, with sofas, stylist long tables and comfortable coffee tables and stools outside. When I was there, we listened to deep house chill out music, but the owners told me that they host theme parties every second weekend with DJ and sometime there are live music for entertainment. The crowd at Whisky Bar Royale is mixed, from University students to older people, but foreigners love it here.
