Neighborhood: Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.

I have never been to cooking school before. This was the first time that I entered the class. I am Thai. I live in Bangkok. So normally I do not have to go to school to learn how to cook Thai dish. The know-how has passed on through our family from generations to generations. I attended the Thai cooking class while my brother attended the French pastry class. Surprisingly, I found the genuine traditional Thai recipe from chef Liu. A new technique and recipe that hard to find anywhere. She explained everything from the basic. Certainly she can explain everything in English. The facilities is very neat and clean. Chef Liu and Chef Florence, who teach French Pastry, are both very nice. The equipment is very well prepared. For those who find an activities in Bangkok, this will be one of the most excellent options.

I will go back the second time soon :)

This is not the first time I'm doing a Thai cooking classroom. To be honest this is the 4th time. But the experience here was exceptional. Very professional. I learned some secrets and some patents and especially learned classic Thai cuisine without shortcuts.
The school also offers French pastries classrooms, a school that teaches - charming French chef, who after years as a journalist in Bangkok - retraining as a professional chef.
Recommended for lovers of food and the pleasures of life.

I'd previously cooked at Baipai in 2014, and again on this trip, but was looking for additional recipes they weren't offering which I found here at L'École Bangkok. Initially I booked one class to learn two salads, then I decided just before flying to use my final few hours before flying out to experience another cooking class with them.

My experience was totally different at L'École Bangkok than at Baipai, at the latter they do a lot of prep work for you so you do lose some of the experience, not here, you do almost everything which really suits me more. Classes are smaller and therefore more hands on too, making for a really intimate experience.

Had a great time here and would happily return again. Highly recommended.

Not only was the curry some of the best I've ever eaten. I made it. We had a large group attend L'ecole for a corporate event and I was impressed from the very beginning. They were incredibly communicative throughout the planning process and were quite willing to tailor the class to a corporate style team building event, which turned out much better than expected. It was one of our highlights in BKK. I'll certainly be going back, but this time for the professional cooking class. Thanks so much L'ecole.

What a pleasure for me to have found this great cooking school in the center of Bangkok.
The atmosphere is wonderful thanks to the warm welcome of Chef Florence and Chef Liu.
You have choice over 30 cooking classes - traditional thai dishes or some pastries classes.
The large choice will definitely bring you back there for new lessons with the two Chefs.

What a special afternoon I just finished at L’ecole Cooking School. Truly, my favorite cooking class in Bangkok. The entire experience with Chef Florence and Chef Liu was top notch -- from the responsiveness on email to the thoughtful planning of the menu to the actual execution of the awesome vegetarian recipes. We made the creamiest, most delicious green curry I have ever tasted. The spring rolls were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. And the crispy mushrooms with caramelized sauce had the meatiest flavor you could ever hope for from the of so humble mushroom.

Tourists and locals alike will appreciate the professionalism (and immense kindness) of both instructors. The love and passion they share for food is obvious. Not only did they actually teach how to make these fabulous dishes step-by-step, but they also shared their own ‘tricks of the trade.’ This class was the first one I've taken that I actually felt like I could make these dishes in my own kitchen. I can't get over the thoughtful planning that went into making such an authentic vegetarian experience. I look forward to my next class in this smart, clean and beautiful kitchen.

During my holidays in Thailand I really wanted to learn to cook local food such as pad thai, curries and green papaya salad. My dream became true with chef Liu who taught us to cook and to understand how to use thai flavors and spices. It was a remarkable experience, the resulting food was really delicious and the space and ambiance were great, we even learnt some thai words that helped us for the rest of our holidays! Chef Florence also gave us some of her exceptional french pastries to taste and we could not resist leaving with a full bag of chocolate brownies, melted chocolate cookies and financiers.
Thank you so much chef Liu and Florence for this cooking class and for sharing your exceptional knowledge (they both studied at the cordon bleu school), i will definitely come back for another class, maybe french pastry next time!
This thai cooking class was definitely one of the best activities i did in Bangkok, in a charming area, a perfect way to learn about the thai culture and get some rest from the hectic city.
