The area
Neighborhood: Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

It is a little rough around the edges, in the sense that your masseuse could be having conversations as she massages your feet, but she got me a blanket and I like the repudiative rough style that let me drift off to sleep amongst the soft chatter of the other masseuses that at the right stage quietens.
I often go here and its only 250 baht, I usually put my shawl down beneath me. Defiantly a great thing to do.

I was searching for a fish spa in the Sukhumvit area around Soi 21-35 and found Phunnee Massage while looking for a now defunct spa. The shop looked clean and well appointed, with reasonable prices, so I entered and asked for a 30-minute fish spa.

Staff were efficient and polite, if not overtly friendly, and provided magazines to read and tea to drink while the fish did their work.

The fish water looks very clean and the attendant did a very thorough job of washing my feet with disinfectant before the spa, which increased my confidence in the cleanliness.

A great experience.

Although I was not extremely impressed with my massage because of the lacking quality of the chairs, We entered a few days later to have our feet "fish-cleaned"! I remember I tried this in Mexico and it was much more expensive, so I suggest if you've never had this mildly tickling experience or want to give it to your kids, stop HERE and for 15 minutes at a cost of 150 THB, you will be satisfied with the experience! We giggled for a while then simply relaxed and enjoyed being serviced by hundreds of little gobbling fishes.
They have 3 large tanks that can sit 3 people at each and are located across from the Holiday Inn (roughly) on Sukhumvit!
Give it a try, especially if you've never tried it before!!

I went here twice. I can see some of the reviews are quite negative but I thought they were good. Mainly older ladies doing the massages. Clean and the foot massages were good. I fell asleep both times. Reasonably priced. The staff are pleasant but not super friendly. The massage was good though. They are located on a very busy road. The noise is bad. However, switch off and you will relax. The windows are blacked out so you can see outside but people passing by cannot see inside. They give what appeared to be complimentary tea but I didn't have it. To be honest, being in Thailand a month and having a massage everyday, I really don't think you can have a bad one!

Twice in two days should give you an idea of how good the place was. Very busy but great value for money. You might have to wait for 15 to 20 minutes as they are continously busy. They can seem a bit rude but their hands make up. Great foit massge followed up by 10 minutes of work on the shoulder. When we were there aecond time the place was so full that they had to turn atleast 10 customers away as there were people already waiting. The ambience ia decent and the staff courteous.

I had a wonderful aromatherapy massage from Surat. She has a wonderful demeanor, very polite and considerate. Phunnee Massage is very clean and we'll located for tourists and locals. Just a few minutes walk from the BTS and Emquartier. I highly recommend the massage here.

The only reason I was willing to try this place out was because of the reviews. But I am sorry to state it was a highly frustrating experience. Middle-aged lady did my massage. She looked pretty tired from the outset. Started off with the oil massage and only she knew what was doing. Poor amateur inconsistent pressureless strokes. Seemed completely untrained and was giving the impression that she just wanted it to be done with. Was chitchatting with other masseuses behind thin curtains. I asked her to stop her nonsensical massage after just 10 mins which I believe was too long and left the place absolutely unhappy and disgusted. Total waste of 350 baht.

Guys, if you happen to still venture out there after this review, my request to you would be that you think twice before going for the oil massage. I only wish to help you out with your time and money.

We’ve been here a few times. Honestly, it’s because of the price. 600THB for a two hour oil massage is a very good price. But the problem is it’s very hit and miss (usually miss) with the masseuse. There are a couple of five star ladies, a few three star and a lot of zero stars. It’s the luck of the draw.

Also hurting the rating is the ambience, or lack thereof. The business is directly on Sukhumvit, right below the BTS, so between the noise of the traffic and the trains, it’s pretty raucous, even for me, someone who wears hearing aids and takes them out for a massage.

There are plenty of other places on side streets for massage. $750 - 800THB seems to be the norm for two hours. So translating to dollars, for $5 or $6 more, you can get the same or better massage with a little more peace and quiet.

I have visited this massage shop several times some years ago, and I was delighted to see that they still have the same high level of experienced employees.
My wife, who is normally not to much a fan of massage, has after massage second day in row already booked for another massage tomorrow.
We have a couple massage with two excellent therapists - Mrs. Rung and Mrs. Som.
I can highly recommend this place, you will not regret.

I like regular traditional Thai massage. No special just good stretchy aaaah factor massage. Phunnee Massage is a little way up Soi Ari - Sukhumvit soi 26, just round the corner from phrom phong BTS. It looked busy so I asked for a massage in my best Thai and had my feet washed by someone who looked like the tea lady. Not a good sign 🤔

So I asked who would be massaging me and she said "me". Groan. At 250 baht it should be quite professional. The thai yoga pants were clean enough but when she started it became clear she hadn't a clue. I was getting visibly fed up when she suggested another woman. I jumped at the offer to find only ten minutes left of the hour. The new masseuse was reasonably skilled and agreed that the tea lady was incompetent.

Pretty disgruntled I suggested 200 baht as a reasonable compromise. At this the "real" masseuse became frighteningly angry and tried to snatch the remaining note from my hand. I couldn't be bothered with the aggro and advise any potential client to give the place a wide berth.

Try the massage shops down Onnut alley soi 77/1 instead. 150 baht for a Thai and very professional. And of course the girls THERE deserve a fair tip unlike the harridans at Phunnee!!
