Incredible hidden gem of a temple right beside DMK airport!

Killing time before our flight my boyfriend and I decided to check out the temple across the street from the DMK airport (just walk over the sidewalk overpass to get across the highway and you'll end up right beside it!). It's only a ~10min walk (max) to get there from the front doors of the airport. We were so happy we did! Upon entering the courtyard of the temple we were greeted by large and colorful statues representing the chinese year animals. There were nothing but locals and monks inside (no tourists at all), but we were greeted with smiles, and even a few curious "where you from?"s. One of the monks approached us to say hello and even invited us to come inside the temple and take pictures during a worship service! The interior was gorgeous, with ornate and enormous hand-painted murals depicting stories of Buddha. What a great experience!

Since this is the first review for this temple I don't see anywhere where I can post pictures, but I'd love to if given the chance.

Good place near Don Mueang airport

I visited this temple in between my flight connecting time of 4 hours. Its very easy to access from airport and its just opposite of airport. Take the pedestrian only over bridge from airport to railway station, dont get down to railway platforms, just walk ahead and this pedestrian bridge and get down where this bridge ends. Then walk straight 100 meters to access this temple. Its a nice place to take photographs with good building complex without any tourists. Its very big area. We took photographs in all nook and corner of this temple.

Got time to kill in don muang airport? Go!

This temple had zero tourists when we went there (apart from ourselves, obviously). It is not as grand as the biggest attractions in Bangkok, but it is still quite interesting. It is a good way to kill one hour of your connection time. It takes about 3 minutes walking from the airport.

Beautiful quiet temple

Saw this beautiful temple across from the airport and made a quick visit. There is easy access from the airport via an overhead pedestrian bridge. With hardly any visitors, this was a quiet place for us to spend some time before our flight out. Worth a visit if you have time to spare.

Take the pedestrian bridge from the Bangkok airport to go to the temple

We were looking for something to do around Bangkok airport and saw the below good reviews. We were too tired to look further down to notice that this place was accessible via the pedestrian bridge (3 mins walk) and took an uber instead. It was a waste of 300BHT so MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE! haha

Just beware that there are no English signs around to navigate around the temple.

Lovely little temple

Saw the roof of the temple from our hotel room at the Amari and visited the temple on the way to the Seven Eleven! Nice little temple and looks lovely when lit up at night.

Nice way to kill some time.

If you're in this area, you're probably flying in or out from Don Muang Airport. Not a lot of things to see or do in the nearby area, but this temple is well worth a visit. Little to none tourists, across the road from the airport, and a beautiful little sight.

Just being driven back from Pattaya to Bangkok for a flight only to see this amazing temple obscured by motorway construction work.

What a shame it's not not central as it would and should get more visitors.

Great place in front DMK airport

This is a great place to kill time if you are at DMK airport with a long layover, you take the walk bridge to get there and is free access.
Also is very close to a convenience store good to get some snacks before your flight.
