The Hermes store here is the worst I have ever encountered.
Oct 2020 • Couples
I am specifically adding a review ONLY for Hermes at this location.

I have visited to browse the store over 2 and a half years, having shopped at Hermes worldwide for over 15 years. This is by far the worse store I have ever visited. The attitude of the staff is very negative and discouraging, this applies to 4 staff over many visits which I have given them chances. They do not welcome you, much less go out of their way to help. In fact I always get the feeling they want everyone out of the store as soon as possible. I do not ask pointless questions and never enquire about bags, I am only interested in Ready to Wear, shoes and homeware. If it’s not available they never offer to help to find it in another local store. Overall it’s a deplorable experience, unworthy of the Thai people and of the brand. I have never encountered such rudeness from any of the local people over my years living here, and I have only good things to say about the locals in general. It is unbelievable but I have also read very similar reviews elsewhere. I hope others will have much better experiences to share. Overall the mall, the other shops and restaurants is a very good place to visit and I love going there.

My favourite mall in Bangkok
Mar 2020 • Couples
I don’t know what it was about this mall, but it was my favourite in Bangkok. It’s not the biggest, but there’s still plenty to do. The eating area is great. We had a nice tea outside one of the shops that was great too.

High end mall
Feb 2020 • Couples
A mostly luxury mall with all the high end brands, plus Gucci flagship. They do have Zara and Uniqlo though. Small supermarket in the basement. And a floor for restaurants

What a stunning shopping centre this is! Very high end shopping centre with outstanding selection of food outlets, restaurants and bars. Immaculate inside and out.

Shopping and relaxation
Jan 2020 • Couples
Central Embassy was diagonal to the Okura Hotel where we based ourselves and the mall sat beneath the Hyatt chain of hotels. It’s new and has a variety of low to high end fashion, think Uniqlo to Missoni. What we especially liked about the centre was the food court on level 6, it’s nothing like you have experienced before. Open House is an eclectic mix of cafes and international restaurants, set amongst a predominantly library style book shop with a similar feel to a gift shop at somewhere like Tate Modern. You could grab a book and read it whilst drinking coffee and eating cake or peruse the curated designer housewares and art supplies. There is definitely one thing the shopping malls get right in Bangkok and that’s the balance of a destination mall will a broad and accessible (price point) food hall.

On a couple of occasions we walked through H&M, Prada, Uniqlo, Massimo Dutti, Paul Smith and Missoni to name a few. (Window shopping I might add)

The highlight being the interior design and architecture of the mall and specifically Open House.

Convenient Shopping
Jan 2020
We were staying at the Conrad, and happened to walk into Central Embassy via the overhead connections. The mall was relatively new, modern and clean. It had top end brands available on various floors. Yes the place was beautiful but did not leave an impression of revisit. Many on the 6th floor but offerings were a bit expensive. One could go to the food court on the basement level. Many delicious foods were available at your pick.

High end retail shops
Jan 2020 • Couples
This is a fairly new place with all the high end retailers here, absolutely immaculate but the issue for me is the fact that all the items are around 30% higher cost than the UK

Good choice for quality food
Dec 2019 • Couples
Some guys are complaining about this mall being empty, but this is actually good thing, easy to walk, no queues, no noise, pure pleasure. Very good choice of dining is the main draw. Prices are high, so it’s quality.

Still Empty
Dec 2019 • Solo
Still amazes me that this place was built. A hundred meters away is Central Chitlom - absolutely thriving - and this place dead as the proverbial Dodo!
