Wonderful Floating Market
Jan 2020 • Family
Whats Great? Not Touristy. Great seafood and others at fair price. Looks safe, had lunch there and that was 2 days ago. None of us sick so safety wise ok. Boat ride 100 baht for about 45 minutes. Lots of local items. Bought 1 kg coconut sugar for 50 baht. Huge market need at least 2 hours to go through. Pretty clean. We ate prawns, sausages, octopus, noodles, etc. Definitely worth a visit. The boatman even let my grandson drive the boat, with his guidance of course.

Great floating market. Lots of small shops selling street and local food. Boat ride in motor boat in the canal for 100 THB. Stop at Orchid garden with beautiful orchids.

Come early get your private boat
Apr 2019 • Family
For us with family really good when going on your private boat 100 baht per person return to go to Orchid Farm or Merit Temple.
We chose Orchid Farm. Beautiful, ,and lots of things to see and do including buy the 10 baht fish food feeding fish at the Orchid farm.
The boat person really good he stopped and let us see a lotus flower plantation, a little water lizard passing by, and some temples.
Very good market with not too much tourists.

Floating market
Mar 2019 • Solo
By using Grab app, I go and back to my guesthouse in Khao San Road 189/180 baht. I took one hour boat tour for 100 baht. So a big grilled fish for 200 baht. Thailand juice is 25 baht. Total is less 700 baht, 23$.
You can enjoy the unique and exotic experience of Thailand in this market. Good place to photoshoot and great budget. Remember only to open in weekend like Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Very nice market, not crowded
Mar 2019 • Family
To be visited on week-ends only.
We booked a tour WithLocals. Our guide, Phudit or Sammy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Really enthousiastic about Thailand and its culture.
The market is nice and well preserved, not very touristic. Most of people here are locals. Tons of food stands, all can find something to his taste.
Our tour included a boat trip in the area, very quiet and interesting to visit the surroundings, including a wonderful lotus field.

Interestingly not so touristic
Dec 2018 • Couples
We came here on Saturday and were very positively surprised to see locals in vast majority. In fact, much of the market has things written only in Thai. Definitely worth a visit to taste local flavors and potentially do some boat riding along the river!
Important note: Do note though that it is not really floating. There are just around 6 boats that sell fruits or do cooking, the rest of the stalls are all on land. Nevertheless, it gives a good flavor to what a floating market could be like without the need to go to some of the ultra-touristic places.

Good floating market to visit, be sure to get the boat ride
Nov 2018 • Family
I haven't been to the other floating markets so don't know what it's like elsewhere. Many locals, which is a good sign. Many food options. I explored one small part and then decided to leave before i realize there are other parts to explore! The boat ride is BHT100 per person for foreigners, and includes 2 stops (stops at another small market and an orchid farm), the whole trip was about 1.5 hours long.

Delicious local foods and desserts, worth to visit!!!
Oct 2017 • Friends
It's not actually a floating market because the stalls are on the ground, but still full with loads of delicious local foods, drinks, and desserts that are not too pricey. Love the coconut ice cream! To go there, you can take BTS Skytrain to BTS Bangwa and taxi there for about 80 baht (10-15 mins)

Fabulous Floating and Traditional Market. A Foodies experience not to miss
Aug 2018 • Couples
Take the train to Bang Wa station and a 100bht taxi to discover this perfect slice of Thailand.
It opens early and it’s worth getting there by about 9 before the crowds set in.
Great looking cal foods prepared as you wait.
Take the boat ride to see some of the back streets/canals.

Traditional market
May 2018 • Couples
We visited this market on a Sunday. This market is traditional, few tourists, which makes it quite lovely. There is a few vendors cooking on their boat but most of the market is on land. Many stalls to choose food from.
