Happened to discover Na Benjarong cruise by chance, when we were roaming around the Asiatique mall. I quickly called up the number for the cruise the next day and booked it up for the dinner cruise that evening (8.30pm). The owner was gracious in answering all my questions over the phone and in accommodating the request for a vegetarian meal (for 2 out of 3 people). When we got on to the boat, we were welcomed very warmly and made to feel comfortable. We were super happy to find out that we were the only ones on board that evening! So from there on, our 'private' dinner cruise was a lovely journey of great (vegetarian) food and amazing sights by the river! We were only occasionally disturbed by loud music and sounds of merry making from other boats on the river, which we were happy we didn't take! The host Sandra was very attentive and tried to humor our 2+yrs old son, who was in a slightly grumpy mood that day. The price tag is steep, but the experience more than lived up to it, so it is value for money! The USP is the fresh food cooked on board, and the taste vouched for it. The sights especially Wat Arun is spectacular. Would love do it again!

1. Convenient: you will find the staff holding the sign board at Asiatique River front. Bts sapantaksin, when you go down bts, go to the left, you will find free boat service from Asiatique. The boat service time is 16.00-22.00 every 15 mins.

2: food: high quality, authentic Thai food. How do you it's authentic? I am Thai hahaha and trust me, they did a very good job create Thai dish like this. Not lousy fusion Thai food. Moreover, they cook freshly! They cook on the boat, which is promote Thai food aroma like Tom yum Kung, the kiffir lime oil in its leaves smell fresh and great! Unlike, other cruises, they offer you buffet and just heat it.

3 time: I recommend 18.00 so you can enjoy the different day and night light. 2 hours on the boat was perfect for me!

4: the staff: the owner and staff were great! They were all provide great service. Eddie and his wife were friendly and fun.

Overall, I had a perfect date. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere very much. For me, it worth every baht!

Thank you, Na Bencharong

We had an outstanding evening with Na Benjarong Cruises and enjoyed the five course five star dinner. Unlike other river cruises Na Benjarong operates a small boat for maximum of 30 passengers offering an intimate atmosphere. The dishes are cooked freshly by four chefs on the boat. The service of this operator is excellent. Beforehand we received an email with the menu and the question whether special dietary requirements need to be considered. We chose the sunset cruise that departed at six o'clock and watched the sun go down over the skyline of Bangkok. This was the most romantic evening during our South East Asia Travel.

Indeed a totally divine experience, to be able to cruise down the famous Chao Phaya River, in a great looking boat delicately enriched in traditional Thai history, as we indulge in the finest authentic Thai cuisine. Coupled with the crew's friendly and attentive attitude, it is a wholesome royal experience for that evening!

This is going to be my first review.

I travel a lot, but I'm lazy when it comes to comment experiences, but this cruise was worth it. It is completely different from the rest as it's a much more tradicional boat, with far less people than the other ones you can see in Bangkok. The boat is really beautiful and the crew is always taking care of everything you need.

The dinner was quite nice, traditional Thai food, not incredible, but much better than the one you can get in other cruises, making the experience even better.

To summarize, if I had to take any river tour in Bangkok I will do it again with them.

Upon boarding, we were first welcomed with fresh flower garlands which symbolizes luck. Fresh flowers bought from the market daily are also placed on each table, setting the mood right for the dinner. We were then promptly served the Amuse Bouche.

The crust is handmade by the chef, likened to the crust of a kueh pie tee that we know of. One is being filled with tomyum pork, while the other, with minced chicken. I popped the entire cup into my mouth, and found the crust to be crispy on the first bite. It was fragrant and was a good mix with the meat fillings. I could send a few more down my belly anytime!

The second course was the Mixed Thai Appetizers which consisted of 4 small dishes. I was recommended to start off with the pomelo salad and ending with the NuaNamtok due to the increasing level of spiciness. The Pomelo Salad was made of fresh thai pomelo in a light lime sauce. It was refreshing with the juicy pomelo popping in your mouth, and the sourish sauce which opened up my appetite for more food! The PlaGoong was a Poached Prawn mixed with fresh shallots, chopped lemongrass and lime dressing. The prawn was huge and beautifully poached. The flavors were refreshing, and the shallots added a nice crunch to it. The Yum Maklua is a japanese eggplant tossed in tamarind sauce. To be honest, I'm not an eggplant fan but it was cooked till soft and the sauce did go quite well with it. Finishing it was not an issue! Lastly, we had the NuaNamtok - beef with shallots, dried chilli and lime. This was delish! Beef stir fried with chilli and lime, the 2 ingredients that succeeded in bringing out the flavour of the beef. Loved this!

Next up, we were served the Tom Yum soup with River Prawn. I liked how they presented this dish, as the waitress would pour the soup into the bowl in front of us, ensuring the soup is also served warm. The soup reminded me of a thicker prawn broth more than a tomyum soup, which I then found out from the boss that it was a fusion dish which they had tweaked in order to cater to everyone's taste! Extra chilli can be requested if you would like it to be spicier, but I kept it original to fully savor the richness of the broth.

Moving on to entree, diners are given 5 choices to choose from which includes chicken, beef ribs, pork, prawn or salmon. I'm sure you will be able to find something you like! We picked the Grilled Sea Tiger Prawn and Beef Rib with Green Curry Sauce. All mains also came with Organic Steamed Jasmine Rice and Seasonal Thai Vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised at the generous servings and how the mains were beautifully done. The prawns were beautifully grilled. It was rather easy to remove the meat from the shell, and the meat was full of sweetness, freshness and there was that slight hint of the grilled taste. A home made Thai sweet and sour chilli sauce was also served, and it was a good dipping sauce for the prawns. For the beef ribs, the meat was super tender such that the meat can be pulled off easily. The green curry, which was a little thicker in consistency, was extremely fragrant. My companion and I really enjoyed the entrees a lot, and we have nothing but praises for the quality of the ingredients used.

Lastly, we had the dessert which consisted of Na Benjarong Signature Dessert with Mango & Sticky Rice. The signature dessert is an egg pudding topped with lychee and caramelized kahlua. The pudding had a smooth texture, perfectly done with a sweet sauce that was drizzled on it. As for the other dessert, what can possibly go wrong with mango sticky rice from thailand? It was a delicious ending to our meal! Coffee/Tea was also served towards the end of the meal.

The boat ride ended at Asiatique, where we had a spectacular view of the ferris wheel and the bars that were found along the river. Overall, I had an enjoyable time on board Na Benjarong and the food had way exceeded my expectations. I would recommend you guys to give this a try as this is what Bangkok can offer other than the insane shopping that we Singaporeans like to visit for.

Been on the cruise once for dinner and the experience was amazing. The particular dinner cruise stands out from the rest of the cruises offered along the Chao Phraya river with its traditional decoration. Not only that, the food offered by the cruise was prepared on board and it tasted phenomenal. We were able to go the deck and check out the pretty sights of the river while having our meal. It is definitely one of the best river cruises I had ever been on.

Was there with my family for a dinner cruise recently. The boat, a refurbished traditional Thai barge is unique, unlike the other boats offering dinner cruises along Chao Phraya river. The setting is nice and elegant. Cruising along the river in an open setting with the breeze coming through the boat deck is refreshing. Food is good, we had set dinner, fusion thai food that goes well with the beer and wine. Service is excellent from the severs. Best of all, the owners of the boat, Eddie and wife Sandra were also inboard that night. They were there to greet us as we embark the boat and personally introduced all the dishes that were served. Such personal attention does make it a truly enjoyable dinner cruise. Would definitely recommend those considering a dinner cruise to try it out!
