Located on the 62th level of the Lebua State Tower is the Scirocco Bar one of the best rooftop bars i have ever seen.

The room was large and very comfortable. The choice of salad dressings was great. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety but exceptionally good bakery. the pool was very difficult to get in and out of and a person with a bad leg could not access the whirlpool at all.

The highlight of my last Bkk trip was the visit to State Tower rooftop restaurant. Great meal, great wine and great company. Too bad my gf was not well and we didn't hover around outdoor too much. But really had the opportunity to explore every side of the place that show different views. Wind was strong that night but I... More

Most Aerial view of BKK are kind of messy and not so excited, similar to Taipei. The best part for looking skyscrapers of BKK, it is around the Chaophraya river and the best view point for me is on the riverside or on the river. Go to Asiatique, the riverside view is free, and shuttle boat is free too. or... More

Amazing view from the circular bar area. However, wear proper shoes and trousers for the men to get in. Drinks are upwards from 300Baht and there isn't a happy hour. Do not bother with the food here. Have a couple of sundowners and then head to the river to eat.

There are better views from other towers, better food and less costly drinks from other places too. It's where one scenes from of the hangover movies was filmed, the views are spectacular but so are the prices.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
