This is the second time I bought room spray from the shop. The first time I tried rose scent, I sprayed all over in my room and felt refreshed. I love floral vibes. This time I’m coming with lavender. The smell gave me relaxed helping me with anxiety and less stress. By the way, its helps mosquitoes away and the scent wasn’t too strong so its perfect. I also got a small bottle of bathgel as a free gift. I really enjoyed it with the texture of the liquid soap. The bathgel is not too sticky or watery plus the smell is very long lasting.

When I entered to Bhawa I felt so relaxed and clam. The spa is hidden in Wireless Road, which is not difficult to find. All staffs serve with passion and I’m quite happy with a service here. I have bought some products from Bhawa, bathgel, lip balm and handcream were my favourites. Bhawa never make me feel disappointed. All of their products is very unique and have their own scent. I recommended rose handcream. It keep my hands moisturized for many hrs with the long-lasting scent, fresh.

Aside from being consistently ranked within the top 10 of TripAdvisor's Spa & Wellness in Bangkok, Bhawa was recommended to my family by some friends. Having heard these wonderful things about Bhawa, we saved it for the last day of our trip to Bangkok, hoping to end on a high note.

My mother and I picked the 4-hour royal jelly rejuvenation spa package. It started off fine in the first 2 hours with the scrub, the body mud and the milky bath with lime and flower petals etc. But then things went horribly wrong during the massage.

I could tell that my masseuse was tired. She was applying uneven pressure upon each stroke, and worse still, it felt completely different on my left and right legs. So I tried my best to communicate with her. Eventually that failed and I asked for a change of masseuse.

The second masseuse came along and perhaps she was told that I wanted more pressure, so she really went for it. I repeatedly told her to be "softer please" and that it was "painful". At one point I believe she climbed onto the massage bed, pressed her whole body weight onto the small of my back with her palm, and jumped down from the bed. As a result, there was a severe sharp pain in my lower back, so much that I had to stop immediately. I could still walk but the pain didn't go away, so I asked for help from the reception.

The receptionist asked me to "calm down" and tried to send in yet another masseuse to do a "check-up" for me, but at that point, given the abruptness and intensity of my pain, it was best to seek medical attention. The receptionist then told me that the nearest English-speaking hospital is 1-hour away - an exaggeration which I do not appreciate. (They tried to explain that it was after taking the traffic into account. But when I asked how far it was from my hotel, the receptionist said "very far", which was not true. It seemed to me that she could have been trying to hush it up.) I insisted on calling my own hotel and was informed by hotel staff that there is a hospital 15 minutes away. The owner of Bhawa came and drove us to that hospital. I was diagnosed with a back contusion and muscle spasm as a result of massage, and was discharged with anti-inflammatory drugs and ice packs. Some bruising surfaced over my lower back the next day.

In all fairness, Bhawa covered all my medical expenses and waived my spa costs (although not my mother's), and its owner could not have done more. Fortunately it was just a minor injury. But I have had spas and massages in Thailand many times before (at least over 20, I would say) and this was my first time ever to get injured during a massage. It was definitely a scary and terrible experience.

Conclusion: Yes, the decor is great, the products that they use are good too, just like their sister brand Divana (even in the midst of the chaos, my mother fulfilled her duty and did some quick shopping for the friend who recommended us there), but it all depends on the masseuse that you get.

The question is, are you willing to risk it here?

I am writing this down because people should know about the risks of getting a spa massage - I didn't. Everything that is stated above is a true account of what happened to me.

I made a reservation through website and tried to changed the reservation through the web site again. But very weird, every single day when i try to change was fully booked they said. I tried to make a reservation with 4 days but i failed to make it.(they said 4 days are fully booked). But I walked in to the spa, there is no one do a spa and I can do the program even I did not book it.
I do not know wether someone cancel the book or this company does not want to have reservation but it was very unpleasant for me.

We followed tripadvisor comments and we chose this spa and Boy was it good. As spa treatments are not cheap (cheaper than Canada but still not cheap), we decide to go with that month promotion which was the Emerald Gold Ayurveda and the tourmaline Supreme Detox at 4650 bahts for 240 minutes which includes a foot bath/exfoliation, a body scrub and wrap, a bath with rose petals, an oil massage, a facial and a lunch.

Since we were not sure of which one would be the best, I indicated both in our reservation. The receptionist who's quite sharp understood that by herself and recommended the Tourmaline which was more age appropriate for us.

The Bhawa spa is located in the embassies neighbourhood and easily accessible by BTS Ploen Chit, Exit 2, you then take Witthayu Road lumpini park direction. The street to the spa is past the Athenee Plaza Hotel but before the All Season Place. There's a cafe in a mall called the Verasu (you turn left right before you arrived at that cafe). if you're not sure turn backwards and you'll see the sign. You have to walk to the end of that street and then turn right, the spa is at the end of the Alley. The location is a big plus since you won't hear any traffic noise during your treatment,.

A few words on the spa itself now, this is intended to be a high end experience and they really hit the curve. The spa is superbly decorated and has a wonderful garden/swimming pool next to it. No one seems to use it but it's just so pretty. When you arrive at the spa, they offer you a cold towel (artistically wrapped) and a refreshing beverage. You can visit the little boutique and enjoy the surroundings. They will ask you to fill out a questionnaire (see other reviewer picture) and smell the different scents to choose your oil massage (tray of little bottles). We chose the lime and lemon oil and it was divine, light, fruity and soothing. The personnel always seat down in the "traditional way I believe" when they talked to you (I think it's a form of thai politeness) and you feel extra special.

We were then taken to our room (which is a new one), they seem to have rented/purchased some additional space. Personnel are all extra polite and they all say hello when they see you. We were introduced to our masseuses Nok and Poon who took care of us for the whole period of time. They both have super soft hands but you can feel that strength in they fingers and palms. even though we enjoyed the whole experience, the bath with the flower petals (the bathtub might be small for a man though) and the hot stone massage were the highlights of the whole experience. One word on the facial, I usually like my nose pores to be extracted which is not the way they do it here but I think that's the way they do it in Asia in general, you have to go to more a cosmetic treatment center to get those kind of facials.

The whole thing took almost 4h30, I think they don't count the time you take your shower and dress up again. We were then walked back to the reception and served with a light lunch of spring roll, fried shrimp/surimi bites, ginger tea and fresh fruit. The masseuses tactfully stayed in the massage pavillon and we had to ask for them to show our gratitude and tip.

The whole experience is 5******* and terrific value. Do try it, it will be great.

PS. They don't have a locker, you just leave your items on a bench. I had jewelry on me and just left it in my handbag and I was not nervous at all about it but if you prefer, you might want to leave it in your hotel safe before you go to the spa.

I got two massage treatments here this past week. Oil massage and Thai massage. I came here five years ago for the first time and had a good experience then. However, the quality of the massage technique and massage therapists have deteriorated significantly.

It's cheaper than other top tier places like Thann or Panpuri but you get what you pay for I guess. I got 10% off which is promotion on Monday to Thurs I believe.

I went to Panpuri at Gaysorn Tower a few days later and my goodness the massage experience is night and day from Bhawa. It is more expensive but well worth it. You can tell massage therapists here are professional and are among the best in Thailand (amazing technique, presentation / appearance, excellent English) whereas Bhawa massage therapists are picked up from random local street corner massage parlors that charge 200 bhat an hour.

I was particularly dissapointed with the Thai massage as should be a good mix of stretching but was just plain painful and uncomfortable throughout mostly comprising of kneading elbows. Oil massage was not memorable either.

Facilities are nice, tucked away in an alley and good reception and nice after massage drink and fruit dessert but if you are looking for a good massage you will not find it here.

If you want a good memorable massage in Bangkok, I suggest you pay up and go to Panpuri.

Choosing a package:
To be honest, I think my friend and I just dropped in one night and in our touristy MC Hammer pants, they let us in and treated us like prized customers from the get-go.
You sit on a couch and look at their 'menu' of packages. I can't remember which one we picked but it was about 3500BHT and included: body scrub, oil massage, foot scrub, and ends with milky bath with rose petals(!). Whole thing was 3 glorious hours long. You are served tea as they ask for your preference on the oils to use (you sniff bottles) and on a body outline, where are places to concentrate on and 'no-touch' places lol. You also choose the level of 'force' as they massage you.

The Room:
So after walking up this grand marble staircase, you are led behind this big wooden door and there are two beds with ample distance between one another and a pillow for your face/head. You get changed as the masseuse's wait outside patiently for you and KNEELING the whole time (we noticed this when we went to fetch them after we changed back into our clothes). That's some crazy dedication if you ask me!
They also have a cube-storage unit off to the side wall for your personal belongings.

The Main Event:
Then for three hours they massage you, oil you down, and exfoliate you. At one point you sit down and the masseuses get down on the their knees and scrub your feet as you enjoy a small snack and drink. I fell asleep like twice during the massages because they were SO good - my friend said I even snored a little. The grand finale is a milky bath with rose petals in a classy wooden polished barrel container. You get to shower off but I suggest you don't because your skin feels so moisturized that it's a waste to wash it all off. You are then led back downstairs and you get more tea, some fruit snacks, and then you fill in a comment card.
(We pretty much were given so much food throughout this entire experience that we just ate a meat skewer afterwards for dinner!)

This is the only downside to this place. It's kinda hidden on the end of a small street and asking for directions from locals was difficult. We ended up using a taxi to the main street. You then walk down this slightly sketchy-looking street (it was dark and abandoned looking), then hang a right and you"ll see it at the very back in all it's majestic glory. The building itself felt like a grand mansion!
P.S. When we finished, a lady actually escorted us out and walked behind us (from afar) until we were at the end of their street! We'd turn back every while to actually see if she's still following us and she'd just smile and do a little head bow. It was cute :)

So what are you waiting for? GO GO GO!

Went here because it was close to my hotel and had very good ratings on TA. What a find! It's amazing. They could accommodate me relatively short noticed and responded to my email quite promptly. You can book the treatments online.
When I arrived I was a bit afraid that they might have forgotten my reservation, but everything was well in place. It's a bit tough to find, but they send you a map. (also on website)
The spa is very nicely decorated and looks very clean. You are offered drinks before during and after the massage/treatment, as well as fruits afterwards. They are very friendly and I will definitely go back and recommend my colleagues.
My Relaxing Thai Touch for 100minutes was 1100 THB.
They do offer crew discount for airliners (20%).
