knowing that this place has improved a lot and planned a trip there. One day before, already checked on the web no reservation required for the planetarium, can purchase ticket at the counter. Took a long trip there, upon arrival, found that all the shows on that day are full. When we told the staff we travel a long way here, they just commented that many people also travel long way here, so meaning, you're just unlucky !

Good Value
Aug 2018 • Family
We started at the Planetarium as we arrived just in time for the 10am show in English (Tuesdays) It was excellent and my wife and daughter loved it too. Then we went on to the science part new ticket but really cheap. Most of the gadgets didn't work but it still had a lot of info to offer. Probably of more interest to younger kids. Also included was the Aquarium which was quite good then across the road for some more exhibits. All in all very good and excellent value for money, worth checking out for something to do. Just a short walk from Ekkamai BTS.

Half day trip

It located next to Ekkamai BTS station so it's too comfortable to go there. It has many activities, interesting players, knowledge , media , exhibition and experiments about science that everyone can enjoy with them so it's suitable for everyone
especially kids.Besides, now it's has opened an aquarium.

Fun half day out

The museum is a bit old, but compared to when I visited it 6 years ago, it has improved a lot. The planetarium has been renovated and new attractions/experiments were added. Although most info is in thai, a lot of English has been added for the new attractions. Went on a weekday with 2 kids, who enjoyed it a lot and want to come back again one day. Entrance is super cheap, and so it is very worth it. Museum has 4 sections - Planetarium, Science building, Aquarium and Nature Building. Planetarium show, which lasted 45 min which was really wonderful and cool, kids enjoyed a lot. The only English show is on Tuesdays at 10am. We came on a Tuesday, but cause of traffic were late 5 min, and they didn't allow us to enter once it started exactly on time. Come at least 10 min before the time if you want to come for English show. We decided to go for the Thai version at 11 am, and although we could not understand, we understood the planet and star Labels on screen which were in English, so it was OK. The Science building has sections that are really old and need renovations, but some are quite new and fun, with all the english labels and information. The aquarium is super small and not much there, we spent less than 5 min there. The Nature building has 8 floors, highlights include the dinosaur section and the Kids city (for smaller kids under 10), it is like a huge playground with all kinds of play areas, which was the part my kids spent the most time in. There is also a thai canteen over there where we had lunch, cheap but regular canteen food as expected. Drinks and snacks also available for sale. Overall, spent a good 4 hrs at the museum, could potentially spend more time if you read all the information and spend more time in each section, we just went through most of it quickly.

The kids might like it.

It won't break the bank at 30b to go in, but it isn't that good. One issue is that the exhibits are explained in Thai without English subtitles. If it's raining and you need somewhere to go then OK but otherwise don't bother.

Old and tired, run down. Many exhibits not working.

Most descriptions are in Thai, as to be expected, but as a place that welcomes tourists some more English descriptions might be expected. If taking your kids then hopefully as a parent you can answer their questions. Unless of course you read and speak Thai.

Very quick to take the money to see all 3 attractions but fail to tell you that only 2 are open. Laugh when asked for a refund for unused portion. I know it's peanuts - but principle?

Even without that issue we really would find it hard to recommend. Way past it's use by date.

Old and tired but kids will enjoy

An old place. A lot of the exhibits are only in Thai and some are in need of repair. Cost is cheap, 30 baht an adult

Overall, if you have children, the day or half day to spare then go visit. A short walk from Ekkamai BTS.

Has some interesting exhibits which you can interact with.

Old but informatove

My kids and I like this place even though it’s abit old. Things there are quite interesting. Not many people there and certainly no tourists around which I like. Prices are very reasonable and either you take a BTS( I advise against it as you got to walk quite abit) or a cab which I chose from Sathorn. The show is good but there are only about 3 or 4 a day. We went for the 2pm planetarium show. Not much places to catch a bite around there so go there with a full stomach. Worth the visit if your stay is long in BKK.
