Maybe earlier reviews are old and this place went downhill in the last 6 months.

This place is so bad, it should be banned. Ladies here are one of the worst masseuse you will find anywhere in Bangkok. They have no technique, nor do they put in any effort. We had a 1 hour foot massage which ended in 45 mins max, both ladies were either tired, sleepy or just so lazy they didn’t even bother using both hands. They take money in advance, stay away, total rip off!

My husband and I arrived at 10am at the Amarin Plaza location. We had separate full body massages and I had an extra leg and foot massage. The premises are very clean and professional. I told my masseuse I wanted a gentle soft massage and she was very good. My husband had a firmer style. I would have liked some soft background music to focus on rather than hearing talking and general noises. When I left at 12 noon the salon was packed- so visit early!!!! Very polite, professional staff and reasonable prices. Will return.

This place has been consistently good over the years. There is a nice a combination of locals, business travels and tourists. The main shop offers a better experience with quiet background music and a more relaxing atmosphere than the new space for spillover business that recently opened on the same level across the main hall. This will make sense when you are there and see for yourself.

Located in the mall with all surrounding noise, with small rooms and short massage beds for average height person. Massage was as bad as I can imagine, without any understanding of muscles and body points, just pressing almost randomly, but sometimes with strength and effort. This can make only extra bruises. I had a lot of good, amazing and so-so massage experiences, but I totally recommend you to avoid this one. You’ll find better on almost any street around the corner.

We decided on Kannikar (2nd floor, Amarin Plaza) after reading great reviews in addition to the fact that it was of close proximity to the Renaissance Hotel.
It was a rainy 7.30pm evening and hence they could fit us right in despite having no prior bookings.
We opted for a 60 mins oil massage which cost 500 Baht per person, which was very reasonably priced.
Price list attached and for your information, they have no packages but one is free to combine/add on the different services they offer on your visit.
The individual rooms were clean and the masseurs were professional (thank you Faar for a relaxing massage!)
I’ll definitely pay Kannikar a visit again whenever I’m in Bangkok!

This place is located on Amarin Plaza, conveniently close to a BTS station.

Had a good foot massage and everyone there looked like they were enjoying their massage too. Would like to try a longer service in future as I only had the 30min treatment.

Place is clean, has free wifi and English speaking staff. I didn't make reservation so the first day I went, they were fully booked in the late afternoon. Tried again on a Sunday and managed to get a slot around 5.15pm (after waiting about 45min - we pre-paid and walked about the mall while waitinf).

As any visitor to Bangkok (or Thailand come to that!) can tell you, there are no shortage of Massage Outlets/Spas to tempt you in for a Massage at prices that are extremely reasonable.

One such outlet is the Kannikar Spa which is located on the first floor (at the rear of the building) of the Amarin Plaza which is located close to the famous Erarawa Temple in the Centre of Bangkok. One tip is to try and avoid the busy periods (mid/late afternoons and weekends) when the Spa quickly fills up.

As for the various massages on offer, my personal favourite is the foot & leg one which costs THB300 and - provided all goes well - it is the local custom to give the masseuse a THB100 tip. An added bonus at Kannikar is - provided, of course, you can stay awake - is the option to make use of their WiFi.

All I can say is please follow my advice and enjoy!

Yes there are a million places to get a massage in Bangkok and trust me, I regularly seek out a massage as I travel throughout Asia. Whilst shopping in Amarin Plaza I took the opportunity to try Kannikar Medical Massage and was not disappointed. I selected a 90 minute oil massage which cost 900 Baht. The rooms were clean and private. The massage therapist had great technique and definitely did not go over the top with oil. Very relaxing and quiet surroundings. thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing.
