This review was due a year ago. I had to transit in Bangkok on the way to Bhutan. I was glad that Peach was my guide. We met at the airport at noon when my flight arrived, then she helped me to have my luggage stored at the airport and got a money exchanged with a terrific rate at the airport. We then took the metro to my hotel in town. She taught me the details how to buy the tickets, used the machine etc so the next day I can independently used the metro to get back to the airport to continue my journey. After check in at the hotel we head to the Grand Palace, Wat Po, and we watched a cultural performance. She let me sat and rest while she stood on the line and got the VIP seat for us. Afterward she took my picture with the performance too. While we were in a tour not only she took my pictures ( no need for selfie) but also she helped me with best location for memorable photos. As it was then dark, instead of going to Wat Arun, she was able to reserved a spot for dinner in a restaurant across the river to watch and take pictures of Wat Arun at sunset. I enjoyed my short stay in Bangkok, thanks to Peach.

Phenomenal tour! Honestly, the best tour I have taken in a city bar none. We were in Bangkok for 4 nights and wanted to see the big sights. When we arrived we started looking up the various small group tours, custom tours etc and were torn as to what to go for. As we started trying to book we were seeing that certain options were full as we were booking on very short notice. This trip was one of our top ones and we managed to get in for the day after next so we went for it. It was more expensive that the small group tours, but we liked the fact that we could dictate the pace and sights of the visit so we went for it. Plus, it was cheaper than a lot of other custom tours. Oil met us our hotel lobby early the morning as arranged. We had sent over a list of what we wanted to see so she had an idea in her mind of the route. We sat and chatted about it for around 10 mins to get out exactly what we wanted and then we were off. We went to the flower market first of all which was beautiful, then on to the Grand palace. We needed to cover our legs but my husband didn’t have anything suitable so Oil took us to a local vendor where he got elephant pants very cheaply, as well as some water for us all. This was really the best way to do the. Palace as Oil took us away from the crowds and explained all the mythology behind the paints on the walls, as well as the statues and decorations of the many different buildings. We were able to dictate the pace and spend more or less time at the parts that really interested us. We went into many of the temples and had various different buddhas explained to us. Their origin, pose, where they came from, who commissioned them etc. We were even shown how to fold lotus flowers to give as an offering which was lovely. We then made our way to some of the other temples nearby, such as Wat Pho and Wat Arun, again receiving detailed explanations of what we were seeing and why it was significant. We went to a lovely little place for lunch that served the best massaman curry we have tasted and very cheaply. Oil’s favourite lunch time spot and we could see why! We then walked Khao SAN road just to see the place we had heard so much about....basically like any Spanish resort Main Street with bars, restaurants and shops sell lots of fakes. From here, Oil took us the local water bus used by locals that was a quarter of the price of the tourist boat, but did the same route. We spent around 45 mins on the river seeing more sights from the water and getting lots more information on places we hadn’t seen earlier on. All in, this was the perfect tour and I can’t praise Oil enough for her bubbly, enthusiastic and friendly approach to telling us ab the city. She really was a perfect guide and I would recommend this tour and Oil to anyone who wants to see the real Bangkok . Well done Oil, we really enjoyed our time with you and really did mean our promise to take you and your boyfriend around Cardiff if ever come!
