I didn’t give Nat, our guide, a tip on the day (no one did), so I’ll give one now... a tour is not telling people to go in there, over there and just point! Was extremely disappointing overall. I booked through my hotel and would advise others to check who they’re booking and do some research first. We were dropped at a Commonwealth grave site, which I recommend seeing and then taken to the museum (I’ve since learned there is an Australian one, which is a must see). We then took a train ride, which anyone can do. Overall my advice is FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!

I booked this tour through an agent at the ibis hotel. The trip went okay although it was quite long, over 13 hours.. pickup was as advertised at 6:30 am.. morning went smoothly.. we stopped at cemetery for a short stop, then on to Jeath museum and river Kwai bridge. Again, all good. After this, we had to wait for train.. it was about 45 minutes late... not tour company’s fault.. train ride up to Sai Yok was 1.5 hours as advertised.. but way too long in my opinion. Nothing to see along the way except at the very start and very end.. rest of train trip was just farmlands.. we were picked up and driven to raft/restaurant spot on the river for lunch. We didn’t get lunch until about 2 pm. It was okay. After that, the groups split for those going to waterfall and those going on raft trip and elephant ride.. we were taken to waterfall and told we would be picked up in an hour.. itinerary said half hour which is plenty of time for this site. It should have been a half hour as we were way behind schedule. After an hour, no van or driver. I complained and one showed up. He didn’t seem happy. We got put into a different van with other people for the ride back. Driver rode very fast and in an unsafe manner. We stopped along the ride and swapped passengers in another van. Again , driver was not happy and shouting at the other van driver on his phone. When we got to Bangkok, he made a wrong turn near my hotel. When I called him out on it, he started yelling at me and told me I was wrong. I told him to stop the van. I got out and walked the rest of the way. He decided he was going to do some very long loop. I have no idea why. So not very impressed with this outfit. I wouldn’t use them again. Return trip marred what could have been a fairly pleasant experience. They did follow their advertised itinerary though

I booked a day trip to see the bridge over the river Kwai. I was told that pick up would be at 6am (no other details were avaialble at the hotel regarding the details of the tour) and at 6am a minibus arrived driven by what looked like an aging hippy, severely malnourished. Further tourists were collected and we drove off. After a little while we stopped and i was put in another minibus with a more competent looking driver. We arrived at the cemetery and met Joy our guide. She indicated with a wave of her hand where various nationalities were buried. However, we couldn't find the ANZAC Graves and she had disappeared to answer the query. At the museum, an other guide was introduced to our party. His answer to a question was to 'look around and you will find the answer'. After visiting the bridge we had a short ride on the railway before lunch. The lunch was good and we met up with more groups. After lunch I was told to move minibuses again. This time I was placed with a Thai family who had assumed they would have a private tour and were surprised to be landed with me for the ride back to Bangkok.

Booked a tour on my first trip to Thailand with an overnight on river Kwai waited at the pick up point which happened to be in the Red Light district at 6 am and they never came to pick me up. I'm 70 yrs Young and do not know my way around Bangkok and was left in a very difficult and dangerous situation by this company. I would not recommend anybody to book with this company. I have received no apology or received no reason for being left stranded. . .
