Finally found it

Thanks to Baloch101 for the directions, unfortunately they seems to be closed. The people from the restaurant said they haven't been open for awhile and they think it will not open again. That is to bad because it sounded interesting.

Dear Valued Customer, On behalf of everyone associated with Khaosan Museum we would like to thank our customers for visiting us over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, this attraction is now permanently closed and will not be reopening. We have now opened the new Buddy Beer Restaurant in this court yard and we urge all our former customers to sample the wonderful food and atmosphere there. Thank you for your past patronage and for more information please contact me at the email address below. Very hard to find it.
Dec 2014 • Couples
It took me around 30 minutes to find this museum, though we were staying at this area..but its really hard to get here.. we asked many people but not many people knew about this secret place. There are 2 different ways to get here. One from Soi Rambuttri and the other one is from Khaosan road, but still very hard to find it, consider yourself lucky if you find it. This place is very cool, but when we reached there it was closed for renovation. I am sure its reopened now.

To give you a hint, I would say that if you are entering Khaosan road from the Police station side, it would be on your left side, right in the middle of Khaosan road. There is a big open gate, actually its of a bar, so just go inside and keep walking and you would see a big Elephant head on the wall... just turn right and there is the museum...

I hope now it's a bit easier to you to find it, cause there was no one to guide me to this place... but at least now you have a bit idea...

good place in a cave
it is hard to find but it is very great. The decoration is very impressive. I think you should promote more or make a big, visible signs or boards to promote this place. It is very nice to visit in the evening

Jul 2013 • Solo
I just walk around the khaosan road and found this museum. It's about the story of khaosan road . Khaosan mean "rice" in Thai word. The museum building is build for 120 years but it just open for public. There are coffee cafe in this area and good to relax after walking around here. Very recommend to visit if you come to khaosan road

hideaway museum
Aug 2013
I brought foreign friends to Khaosan road abd accidentally found this museum. The museum is in small street in Khaosan road. The area made me feel very peaceful. The decoration is made in colonial design. The museum is on the second floor containing the content about Khaosan road snd attractions around the place. I think overall is good but too small. I spent only 20 minutes here. Anyway subcethere are no entrance fee, so I don't have anything much to complain

A Peaceful Moment on Khaosarn Road & The Awesome Chez Bruno
Mar 2013
To me, I first want to say the Chez Bruno restaurant makes my dinner so adorable. I love all the pasta and salad there. For the accommodation, I would recommend this place to those who love to smell the thai atmosphere in the last century, and I can feel this place was very cozy and serene, and has a very easy access to many tourist spots, pubs, bars, and restaurants on Khaosarn. From the hotel, you can take just 15-20-minute walk to Wat Prakaew, Sanamluang, and Saranrom Palace. For me, I can say the hotel is very great for hiding yourself from the crowd after you experience many places on Khaosarn, including many pubs, bars, and restaurants ( and Padthai along the street is a must to try). Also, the photo galleries here are enchanting, containing a lot of Khaosarn in many aspects. You'd better try Khaosan Garden once, and you will really love this place, honestly.

The only museum in Khaosan road
Jun 2013 • Couples
I always travel around Rattanakosin island, which used to be a center of business and lifestyle of Bangkoker. Undoubtedly, one of the most famous road in Bangkok is Khaosan road since it is most lively tourist spot in Bangkok. I always visit Khaosan road during the night time because the road will be lively with pubs, bars, and restaurants with mixing of culture of Thai and foreigners. However, after i heard about photo exhibition conducting in Bangkok, I went to Khaosan garden for visitation. The first time i saw this place, i felt relax and peaceful from busy crowd in Khaosan road because it is located in the deep inside of street, which used to Sunset street. Khaosan garden has two floor vintage house, which was built since King Rama V era. The first floor is the restaurant called Chez Bruno, but i have not tried this restaurant yet since i had lunch already. The second floor is a cozy museum and the good thing is that the entrance fee is free. Though the museum is very small, it contained the solid contents, especially the history of and 3D area model of Khaosan road. I did not take much to visit overall museum. The photo exhibition was great. The photographer took many shots of the tourists attraction around Bangkok and put it on canvas frame. When i went to down to the first floor, I talked with the waiter. He said that the first floor, where is the restaurant, contained the antique architecture of italian architecture team, who built the grand palace. In addition, each of the room of the first floor has a different theme. All in all, this place is so nice and peaceful. You can just sit and spend time reading book on the museum and get some feeling of Bangkok back in 100 years ago. I would say that i will go back here again for trying food from first floor restaurant and get sometimes relaxing from crowd and busy work.
