DO go early in the morning like 6-7am. Cos the place can be very hot and stuffy.
This trip there didnt't really plan to do much shopping. but notice that items are getting more expensive and items are very much limited. Most of them selling the same items and many only prefer wholesale and will mark up double when you want to buy small quantity.

All ladies must shop at each time in Bangkok. Shop till ur legs drop huge area of wholesale pricing clothing etc takes at least 2 hrs and above to walk through. Cheapest and widest range of collections in town. Only drawback is its largely non air conditioned so abit hot and humid. If one can't stand heat in shopping then Platinum mall nearby will be the next better alternative(at slightly higher price point).

We went around 5 pm, not so warm and it was walkable and easy to shop.
Enjoyed the lively environment.
Managed to get few good bargains.
Although the main market was already closed, we toured the stalls along the main road.
Enough to ignite the shopaholics in us.

This place is huge, there are clothes stores upon clothes stores at every turn. You can also buy other things in this market but clothes seem to be the major thing on offer. It can get extremely packed and I found it very overwhelming, that coming from someone who loves to shop and loves to walk around markets. You will find a lot of the same things from one store to the next. worth a visit, but it would take a few days to see it all, particularly if you like a good mooch. some stores are fixed price, but you can bargain with some vendors.

Busy market all day and evening. Selling mostly clothing. In the day mostly wholesale so 3 items of the same to get cheap price. Has places to eat and street food . Only 1bar as far as I can see. Lots of Indians and Africans in this area. Can get crowded in the small alleys in the indoor market and very hot.

Pratunam market here Only cheap items Inside there is a shop selling beautiful patterns and general accessories. But rarely have food I went to buy 2 shirts. And walk to the red light intersection where there is food to shop for chicken rice Which tastes good It is greasy and eaten with rice and soup. Goes together very well, the price is cheap. I ate 2 dishes. Very full. You should go for a walk before eating. Otherwise you will have to pacify the stomach for sure.

Pratunam Market includes shopping complexes and maze of alleys. They are filled with thousands of tiny shops selling fashion wear and accessories in wholesale. Sometimes, the prices are cheaper than Chatuchak Weekend Market.

I cannot imagine why we were suggested this place by our hotel. It is extremely low end, would not want to venture inside the narrow dirty lanes. The nearby Platinum and Palladium malls are much better and saved our day.

Will the shops and eateries be open on 16-17th July 2019 considering its Buddhist holidays? When will alcohol ban be maintained?

Most of the shops in the mall will open. while some of the street shops around are closed. there will be enough stores that consume your whole day.
Enjoy your visit

Any electronics such as beats by Dr Dre? (Head phones) Apple stuff (AirPods), Nikes? Are all their name brand fake? Nothing real to buy there?
