Safari World is comprised of two parks. One is a drive-thru safari experience, wherein you drive your vehicle (or taxi, or if you don't have a vehicle, you can ride one of the park buses that drive through the safari for an additional fee). The other part is a zoo which you explore on foot.
The drive-thru safari is a good experience, with a wide variety and good quantity of safari animals. The zoo is also very diverse. There are animal shows throughout the day which are worth seeing, such as a dolphin show, orangutan boxing show, etc.
We had the Indian lunch buffet, which is quite poor in quality.
You can hire a taxi from Bangkok city center for a day, and the taxi will drive you through the drive-thru safari and will be there for you when you finish the zoo. You can bargain with taxi drivers and get them for the day trip for around 700 baht. Most tour companies will want 2000 baht for a car hire for a day. If you already have tickets to Safari World, just be clear with the taxi driver that you already have tickets, and will only want them to drive you going there and drive you through the safari and be there for you when you finish. Most taxi drivers also sell you tickets to Safari World, from you they get a commission.
Safari World also offers a free bus ride to Fashion Island Mall during closing time. From the mall, you can easily grab a taxi or take a Grab back to the city center.

Great place to visit if you have free time in Bangkok. We caught the metro there and then a taxi which took 1hr 45min then when we returned to our hotel it took just over an hour by taxi to Sukhumvit but there was less traffic.
It was very confusing when we arrived, we got dropped off at the entrance to the safari(not the ticket booths) and we were lost the. We caught another taxi to the ticket booth. He wanted 100baht to drive us around the safari park. We decided to go to Marine Park which is the walking part of the park. We watched the cowboy show and dolphin show but missed all the feedings as we arrived at 11:30am.
There was loads of people from India and the shows catered to that with Indian cheering and dancing at the beginning of the show. The park was reasonable and peaceful to walk though. There were no rides that we could find; we did see a boat trip which was an extra 200baht each. Because I was flying that evening I only had limited time so just walked around and saw the animals.
Cost is 1000baht for the safari or 1300baht for Marine park(1,500baht combined) Thai nationals get a discount of about 40%

I think I spent 3,000 baht for 2 adults and 2 kids, plus 1,000 for food and drinks. I think 1,000 for the 4 of us to ho on the Jungle River cruise (not recommended unless you have 5 or 6 year olds, think Little Tea Cup at Disney).
There is so much to see. We started off attending the shows, then lunch, played Pokemon, then more shows in the afternoon. Their show schedule was really easy to follow, plus there are many signs and maps to use.
My extended family loved the animal shows. I loved the Cowboy and Spy War stunt shows; funny and entertaining.
Feeding the parrots was a treat. One of them took my earring, lol. So many of them; so beautiful.

I actually really enjoyed my trip to Safari World. Booked a private driver from Klook and would definitely recommend this for anyone with small children, as it allows you to move at your own pace considering the heat can really get to them. I found this to be a non-typical zoo experience, as we first started off by driving around the safari park to see some animals quite up close. Once we got off the car and moved inside, it was refreshing to see a number of entertaining shows scheduled... you can consider some of these cheesy Universal Studio rip offs, but it's certainly a nice change of pace from your standard animal documentaries. Unfortunately, they are scheduled or placed efficiently so you really do have to move quickly to get from one to another.

Overall very good experience, the animals looked well cared for. Only thing would not pay extra for the “water” ride unless have very young kids older than about 6 and waste of time. Show are good specially the western show and the monkey show.

Safari world - a drive through safari like experience where you see wild animals living in natural environment. The larger section is where the birds (why don’t they fly away?) and herbivores reside. There is a separate section surrounded by electric fences and guard posts for the carnivores. Either drive a car through (with tickets of course) or hire a car with driver for the best experience. Some people join tour groups in buses or vans but personally I find the car option better. Well worth it.
Marine park is like a zoo although it’s called marine park. There are various animal and stunt shows scheduled throughout the day. Once properly planned, it’s possible to cover all the shows and yet visit the various animal exhibits. Having said that, the most memorable experience is the mini world (I think) with the little birds that will crowd around one with the sunflower seed feeds. We had much fun playing with them. Giraffe feeding was also fun with may giraffes waiting to be fed. Of course we had to pay for the feed but it was worth the fun.

Without many words to say this was the best day we had in our 3 trips in Thailand so far. We booked tickets online for 900thb each including lunch (we loved the lunch) and marine park. we had to pay extra 60thb for the bus to take us in the safari. We used Grab app to book a taxi from our hotel (Top Hight Airport Link hotel) to Safaru world (380 to go and 380 to come including tolls.
Warning! There are many drivers on Grab doing a scam trying taking only customers without entrance ticket and selling them the entrance ticket at ridiculous prices (even 1500thb pp while we paid 900thb pp at ticket2attraction).
You can buy food to feed the Elephants and Giraffe for 100thb.
We will visit it again and it worried every penny.

The animals all look cared for and well fed. The place is spotlessly clean, the staff friendly. Feeding the giraffes, camels, ponies and fish is always a highlight for us, especially the majestic, calm and relaxed giraffes. There is shade as you walk around and driving through the park is also a treat, so many different birds all happily living their lives. A bit expensive for a family of four but worth the price given that the money looks to be being invested in the animal welfare and park upkeep. It was our second visit to the park, as we saw some of the shows on our first visit we were happy to wander around looking at the various animals.

Get really up close to wild animals including lions and tigers by your car window. Recommend to self drive or book a private car to drive thru slowly and appreciate mother nature. Fun shows available including dolphins and orang utans! A must go for family with kids or animal lovers!

Why do people enjoy seeing animal abuse? Orang-utans boxing each other, are you guys crazy? What’s this world coming to when endangered animals are used and abused for peoples entertainment.

How is the crowd after the Coronavirus outbreak? Is it still safe to visit Safari World?

I was there prior to the breakout of the Corona virus. A friend of mine mentioned that tourism has been slow as no tour groups or even families are traveling because of the virus. It was quite crowded when I visited.
Does Safari World on site ticket also include lunch buffet??

My son is 2 yrs 1 month old. But his height is only 88 cms. Is there a ticket charge for him?

There shouldn't be a charge for him, however they will check his height before admitting you'll in.
Enjoy yourselves

We are thinking about visiting the Safari world by grab from our hotel and have pre-booked online the single day pass (safari+marine) on Klook. But it says that you must be on a vehicle in order to take the safari tour. Are there inside vehicles to take you to the safari or do you need to pre-book the "shared safari world transfers" on Klook also?

They have buses there which you can take for 60 bhat per person. You don't need to pre book.

How long does it take to do the safari park and the marine world. Is it possible to see both the attractions on the same day with a child of 3. Also does a child of 3 yrs need a ticket to enter?or is it based on the height of the child?
Vin Dosa

Right, no one checks the height. It takes about 3 to 4 hours for you to check out both the places. However if you want to do it leisurely, then spend about 5 hours.... will be worth it.

If I get a taxi or hired van with driver to drive through Safari World (the 8km open safari), does the taxi driver or van driver need a ticket also?

As a standard procedure, yes, a ticket for the driver is needed
