The area
Address
Neighborhood: Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

We stumbled onto this place, not knowing we were going to buy anything. Literally just walked by. Such wonderful and kind service. Rahm and Marcos (owner) were very patient as we pulled almost every fabric to see which we thought would be best. They calmly and patiently waited as we decided. My husband tried to haggle but their confidence in their product and commitment to their price only convinced us more that we were going to get the best product.

We had never done this before. They answered our many many questions and spent almost 2 hours with us. We ended up ordering 2 jackets & 3 shirts and they guaranteed return within 22 hours! 22 hours!!! We chose an Italian fabric and a Swiss fabric for the jackets.

They asked for initials, they couldn’t guarantee monogrammed cuffs, only said they would try. How cool!

We came the next day and it fit Perfect! It’s mind boggling how perfect it fits. So nice, so detailed but most importantly the customer service and patience they shared was unbelievable. (I worked 22 years in customer service, there is no way I would of showed this much patience with us! We were boarder-lying annoying lol.

My husband said he wants to go back to Bangkok just to order more!!!

I don’t think we will ever buy a shirt or jacket off the rack again. When in Bangkok, go here for your custom made clothes, you will be VERY SATISFIED!
Thank you Marcos and Rahm!

Having read the recommendations for this tailor on LonelyPlanet, I went to this guy. Friendly guy, proper shop, but I was deeply disappointed when I received my 2 suits.
Both have very poor seams. I had to go to my local German taylor to repair all the seams!

Worst of all, the fabric was polyester instead of wool (as promised). Take a piece of that fabric and burn it...you can smell the difference. Wool wouldn't burn, by the way.

What a terrible waste of money...

I would highly recommend Mr Marco tailoring shop to sew your shirts. I have had numerous visit to Bangkok over the past years and always tailored my clothing at his shop. I found his service to his clients to be most welcoming and his workmanship very good. The prices are definately reasonable considering the quality of his material which i have no complaints about. He is also puntual on his delivery . Overall, i am happy with my tailored shirts and i do recommed a try at his place

I have used ST Marco a few years ago when I visited Bangkok and was happy with my traditional suits and shirts, but on this trip I wasted my money. I got three slim fit shirts and three slim fit pants. The shirts were slim alright, but the sleeves were way too slim, where it is impossible to roll the sleeves. The pants were very skinny on the thighs and more normal on the cuff (picture that). I will take them to my local seamstress here in the US to fix them. The pant pockets stick out and defeats the "slim" fit. Also, the pants have an elastic two inch on each side of the hips that it’s not covered so it’s sticks to your skin.

Use ST Marco for traditional cuts, but if you want more of the modern fit, go elsewhere. By the time I pay for further fittings, they will become an expensive pair of pants. The fabrics were of good quality, but nothing to brag about. The location is on Soi 4 at the Nana BTS station. It is about brisk 7-10 minute walk from the main street and the hotel where it's located is small, so don't expect a big sign. I had the initial fitting, plus another one. Reluctantly, he delivered to my hotel.

Good Luck!

I am a musician and during a vacation in Bangkok, I planned to go to St. Marco's store in order to aske to make a frac and a suit for my concerts.
I found the staff very kind and helpful as well as professional and experienced and took care of my special requirements. As I needed to decide about how to make the details, they had very good suggestions and all together, with measuring and material choosing, they where very fast and useful.
In the store they have great variety of high quality fabrics for man, I chose to use an Italian cashmere for the frac and suit and pure cotton for the shirts.
I'm very happy with everything they made, the results are very high quality, great sewing work, design and quality material. The price was very good and I'm definitely going to order more clothes in the future.
Thank you very much for the amazing service and results!

Very reliable and articulate tailors along Sukhumvit road, next to soi 10. They will fit you and within 2 days deliver your staff right to your hotel. Very keen on details and do an excellent job on all kinds of clothings (for men, ladies and children). Give them a try while in Bangkok

When it comes to custom tailors, there are a lot to choose from in Bangkok. However, not all tailors are equal and not all are honest. Some offer a great value, but the customer service and quality are low. Some offer excellent quality, but at a premium price; expensive, by middle-income American standards. I've done business with a few of the nearly 5000 registered tailors in Bangkok. In my opinion, St. Marco offers that best overall value for your money on Sukhumvit along with quality customer service. It's important to note that we all come in different sizes and have different preferences in terms of balancing comfort vs. style. A good tailor does more than just take your measurements and spit out a cookie cutter garment. A good tailor takes time measure two or three times, evaluates how the garments fits on you during your fittings, and communicates with the customer effectively to determine what adjustments to make. Mr. Singh (Marco) is very attentive to his customer's needs and brings his tailors into the shop to make quality adjustments. He does not rush his customers, is not a pushy salesman, and is considerate of what his customer's want. In terms of price, he offers a good value for the money. Can you get better quality suits? Sure. Narin Couture and Rajawongse offer quality tailored suits with high quality fabrics. But, Rajawongse in particular, will also sell you the same quality fabrics you can get at St.Marco for a much higher price, and higher quality fabrics for an even higher price. Can you get 4 suits and 5 shirts for $399 USD? Maybe, but if it sounds too good to be true, I can almost guarantee it is. I purchased two 3-piece suits and 4 custom shirts for less than a 1/4 of what I would pay at the Men's Wearhouse in the U.S.A for similar quality off-the-rack suits and that's not including the shirts. I was burned before purchasing suits on Sukhumvit, but left St.Marco feeling highly satisfied with the quality and value of my garments. I wear my suits to work daily and they fit comfortably, are durable, and look good. Even more importantly, I was treated kindly and with consideration by Dharminder Singh, the proprietor, and look forward to doing business with St.Marco in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I recently visited Bangkok for nearly 2 months.
I shopped around and ended up at St. Marco tailors on Sukhumvit Road.
I was not disappointed. Marco is the best.
I went in to purchase one custom tailored suit and ended up purchasing 3 custom made suits and 4 shirts he was that good.
Marco and his assistant made the whole process very enjoyable and after a couple of fittings i had just what i wanted for a great price. 2 suits for business and one for fun.
I highly recommend anyone visiting Bangkok to go and see St. Marco as he is the best in town and is a great man.

I brought an old beloved shirt with me from the Netherlands and Marco made two perfect copies from the
thickest pure cotton fabric he had. They are too warm for the tropics but perfect for colder countries
