MOON RIVER by VJ Tailors has been established since 1990 and has been regularly serving the expat community in Bangkok and regular business visitors to Thailand. At Moonriver's, we have our in-house tailors, so we can guarantee you full satisfaction. What distinguishes us from the competition is our hand stitched shoulders, sleeves,and button holes, giving you flexibility of your finished garments. We do not only make made to measure,but are confident of giving you a full bespoke experience. One of the largest selection of fabrics to suite all tastes and price range. Our motto is every satisfied client will get us a new recomendation.

With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Highly recommend Moonriver by VJ in Sukhumvit Bangkok. The owners Vijay & Priya are both charming individuals and we discussed our wants/needs and then they went on to explain the benefits of different fabrics. The selection of fabrics and designs is outstanding and all interactions with the staff were wonderful. There are different price points depending on fabric and options and we really liked that there was no sales pressure. We were so happy with the quality and fit of our first order that we purchased additional items and are very happy that we have found our Bespoke Tailor Shop.

I had visited vj on July 2019. Had placed orders for a full suit, a 4 trousers and seven shirts. I was very impressed by their professional approach and friendly helpful nature. Their in house experienced tailors are a big positive. I like the fit and feel of garments. I found their pricing very economical, however, was a bit sceptical about the quality. Having used the garments for nearly a year now the quality fears have blown of. So I ordered a 3 more shirts and 2 trousers and was pleasently surprised that they had all my measurements and got my deliveries within a fortnight in India.

We visited the Bangkok store while on a short visit to the city. VJ was traveling, but his wife, Priya, took excellent care of us. She was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She provided helpful suggestions for style and fit choices, did not pressure us to purchase the more expensive fabrics, and was patient. We were on a very tight timeline, but Priya and her tailors accommodated us and had things ready for a fitting within a day. Thereafter, she had our finished items messengered to our hotel for pick up before we left the country. She assisted us with getting the VAT refund and generally made logistics very simple. The finished products were impeccable and exactly as promised. Ladies and mens items purchased- both perfect. We could not be happier! So much so that we are planning to meet up with VJ to order more when he visits the US. You have your pick of tailors in Bangkok, but I HIGHLY recommend stopping at MOONRIVER by VJ to get your custom garments.

The quality of work is excellent, and the advice provided regarding fabric, colors and style is just as good. Together this resulted in amazing looks, which has resulted in many compliments. All clothes are fully bespoke and have all the details of quality work: perfect fit, handmade stitching, handmade button holes, horn buttons, silk lining, quality wool, fabric reserve, canvas lining, etc. I am happily referring my friends to VJ. I have been a customer since VJ started and have visited over many years.

The consultation was not intrusive, but friendly and competent. The survey was so accurate that only a try was necessary. The shipping to Austria has worked out wonderfully. Within 4 days the package was there!

Was visiting Bangkok for the first time with a friend who frequents the area. He brought me to see VJ to get my first ever tailored suit. It was a great experience. Had the initial fitting done, picked the fabrics and returned to Pria a couple weeks later on our return from India. Had a second fitting and got the suit the next day. It fits very well and looks great. The quality is top notch and the service was outstanding. Will be back to see them again on my next visit to Bangkok. If you don't have a tailored suit, do yourself a favour and get one.

This is my second suit tailored by VJ and his team. On this occasion my wife also had a suit tailored.
Our initial fittings were done by VJ’s more than capable staff, who were very patient during the selection of style, fabrics, linings, buttons etc.
Everything went to plan at each fitting and were are extremely pleased with the end result.

Our favorite tailor through 21 years. My husband had 1 suit, 1 jacket and a lot of monogrammed shirts made, and I 2 dresses. All perfect!
