The original market is closed but there is a new food center and bar area nearby, about 500m down soi 81 (the soi next to the old market). Some of the same food vendors from the old market, but with a new bar operator.
Unlike the leaky old canvas roof, this new place has a covered area with a proper tin roof !

Sorry to inform everyone, but October 16th was the last night for On Nut Night Market. The owner has partnered with a hotel group to build a new hotel on the property. Such a shame as On Nut has a dearth of restaurants and no real place to socialize. Sad but a sign of the times - anything located next to a BTS station that is low density is subject to the insane prices condo developers are offering.

Arrived last week at 16.10hrs. Ordered food and 2 beers. Sorry no alcohol till 16.30. No problem we will come back later. Er ok you can have a beer.
Food good then the bar at the back opened. Had a couple more beers at the bar and more food. Requested WiFi Code - sorry it’s use is for the owners only. No problem. Requested some serviettes or tissues. Sorry these are for sale only albeit only 20 baht. Went to the toilet. No paper or tissues at all. No towels and NO soap. I’m guessing these were the only conveniences so what do the staff do? Very poor show and even poorer hygiene. A real shame and let down. As far as I am concerned cleanliness is paramount.

This one is called a new market which is roughly 10 min walk from bts. I found it when I googled night markets. its not night market at all, it has some disgusting looking food and bars. nothing else to do, nothing else to buy. it was dead with 3 white men and their Thai "lady friends" there are no toilets in those "restaurants" no clean running water for the cooks to wash the food or wash their hands. no hygiene standards. I mean I know its Asia but would you go to a place like that in Europe no, even homeless people get better food from a better restaurants run by any charity

Great little hang out with shopping, live music, and tons of food selection. Ive had the food a "On fire" and the sushi place two stalls over both are great. The sushi is the best in Bangkok. Mixed nigiri and maki 16pc for 150 baht. You can't beat that. I've always had a great time here. If you want a more authentic thai hand out this is the spot.

This place was recomended to me by some Thai friends who use it as their daily dinner stop. They said if I wanted truly authentic Thai street food, this was the place to try. So easy to get to, catch the Sky Train to On Nut station and the market is directly under the station. There is a huge range of Thai foods on offer as well as fresh fruit and a number of small bars to purchase beer or spirits. Some stalls you make your purchase from direct, others have waitresses walking arounf taking your order. The food is so fresh and so cheap. A full on meal with a couple of beers will set you back maybe 200 baht. If you like giving authentic Thai food a go, try this place.

Our favorite restaurant area, great food, good price and foot massage here is great. Just roll down from the BTS and give it a shot.

The area around On Nut was another part of Bkk we wanted to explore... to be real n not touristy. So found a great Airbnb and spent 4 great days there...Why’great’? Just literally at the doorstep was food alley which served the lunch n dinner crowds n Big C which I visited for the supermarket n air conditioning! We even had our massages n hubby had a great haircut too!

And across the main road was the ‘talad’ which opens at 5 am... local food ( all so clean) n the market too...clean n dry with friendly vendors. Got my local curries n dried fish to take home.. fresh n cheaper! We bought mangoes n durians n rambutans n passionfruit to take back to our room to eat !

Just walk around the area n you see a huge Tesco n an enclave of street food.. we had the salt baked fish n somtom! I also spotted a shop selling second hand bags like Coach n Gucci n LV nearby!

We will definitely be staying in On Nut again.. oh! It’s only 30 minutes to the International Airport.. so no rush!

I have to add that we were there during one of the hottest periods in Thailand but with the numerous 7/11, Tesco n Big C.. it was surprisingly fun cos we just popped in to get ice cold beverages or just enjoy the air conditioning! And then went back to room for a nice cold shower👍🏻

This is worth a visit ! I wont call this a market it is just a few food stalls and seating area next to a centre ( on Nut BTS exit ) and not a 10 min walk.

There are a few other vendors with clothing ect along the streets.

Try the strawberry jug ... we enjoyed all the sweets in it ;)
