About
For more than a millennium, it has been only professional artisans trained and equipped with fine silver making tools who could produce hand-made silver objects and fine jewelry. Today, that has changed. Bangkok residents and tourists are now offered the unique privilege of hand-crafting their very own pure silver jewelry-a unique and cherished heirloom destined to be passed down through generations.

- curious-IBangkok, Thailand30 contributionsNice silver jewellery workshopFabulous silver jewelry made during an afternoon workshop. Origami pattern on silverpaper/clay which comes out as beautiful silver crane and is added to earrings or a pendant. Very friendly and helpful staff while you work in a corner of their shop. You can also just buy some of the amazing silver jewelry that they sell.Visited March 2020Traveled with friendsWritten March 11, 2020
- I F2 contributionsBespoke crane earring courseI went with my mum to buy some silver clay and we both signed up for a silver paper course. Wee got to make our own crane earrings even though there wasn’t a course like that already available. They tailored it to us and walked us through the whole process. Now my mum and I both have lovely handmade earrings! Would absolutely recommend! Especially if you are looking to buy silver clay as this is the only place I’ve found in Bangkok that sells it, and it’s super affordable too compared to prices back home! Lovely staff as well. Overall, a great experience!Visited March 2020Traveled with friendsWritten March 11, 2020
- Byul R1 contributionCouples Jewellery making courseHad a really fun time making silver jewellery for the first time ever. It was simple and there was not much to explain - we designed and made our own pendants with a gem stone in each. A great idea for couples or friends to make keepsakes together. It took a while and we had to wait but then we’re able to collect and finish then the same day. The total time from arriving to going home with our finished pieces was about three hours. Very happy! 😊Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 16, 2020

My partner and I attended a jewellery making workshop at Shannta. Beu was fantastic and made sure our rings were perfect! The shop is so cute and all the jewellery displayed is made my hand. I would highly recommend this workshop and could not fault it at all. Friendly and helpful staff with a great service

The staff are really nice and helpful, the place have a lot of nice pieces displayed to buy from. You can make your own piece 😍 they’ll teach you in about 2 hours and when you finish you’ll have your own ring, bracelet or earrings! Depends on what you made lol

Decided to take a break for the mad shopping and feeding frenzies to do something different in Bangkok. This is a fun and unique experience as you get to make your own jewelry. Process is fairly easy, especially if you make cookies or play with dough/clay. You do an initial sketch, then carve and shape it with a knife. It goes into the oven for 1.5 hours, during which you can do lots of things (shop, eat, massage, explore the art centre) as this place is conveniently located near MBK and Siam Discovery Centre. After it's baked, you brush it off with a tool and then you're done!
The person there was very helpful even though she didnt speak a lot of English. There was also nice jewelry for sale.
One tip - it's located in the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center across from MBK and Siam Discovery Centre. I made the mistake of double checking the address whilst on the overhead crosswalk nearby and a tout approached me. He told me to show him the address on my phone, then proceeded to guide me 3 streets down to a gem and jewellry centre. On my walk, i was approached by another tout guiding me to the same place. So be careful and just head straight into the BACC building. From the overhead crosswalk, there is a door that leads you directly into the building without having to go downstairs. Apart from that, enjoy your time!

I went here with my wife so that she could make a ring, and were so happy that we did. The results were so amazing and so personal. She now has a ring specially made for her by herself, and for something like a ring that is such a nice thing.
The process took about 3-4 hours and was really easy, thanks in large part due to the patient help of the staff. They were all really nice and friendly, and although their English was not fluent, it didn't need to be. The staff were perfectionists, which is nice because you need that for something you are going to be wearing all the time! For 2300 Bahts (about 45 UK pounds) you got a certain amount of material which was certainly plenty for a ring, and with the extra my wife also got to make a pendent!
At the end the ring was put into a nice presentation box. The lady who had just spent hours helping us did not expect a tip, in fact was even shy to receive one, but she had really earnt it so I was insistent!
All in all I can definitely recomment this. Why pay so much more for a ring somewhere else when a handmade ring will mean so much more to you?

We could make 2 rings + 2 bracelet pendants on the couple course. Got a lot of help from the lady in the shop, looking forward to see the result :)
